Good service. The restaurant was not busy and we were able to be seated immediately. The server told us they were short staffed so the manager was filling in for a cook. We appreciated the notice and c didn't mind the extra wait for our meals to be served. While waiting the bread service and drinks wewere promptly refilled. It was quiet and a little on the dark side in the restaurant so we asked to ssit in a booth directly under a light. The food was good.

Haven't been here in many years. I usually stay away from Italian chain food places. I didn't get to pick the place. Came for lunch and got the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. It was just ok. Could of used more shrimp and salad for the price of $18.49. The 2 stars was for our waitress and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Not coming back here.

This restaurant has become one of my staples when I'm craving Italian food! Carrabba's has a welcoming environment that allows it's guests to talk comfortably, even with a large group. It's a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy good food. I love the Carrabba's Italian Classics Trio because you get to have a little of three really delicious dishes: creamy alfredo pasta, crispy chicken parmesean, and a delicious peace of lasagna. I have also tried their chicken soup appetizer, which is very good. While all of the food is delicious, I have to say one of my favorite things about coming here is their fresh bread and herbed oil! I highly recommend everyone gives this place a try! P.S. Their cannoli cake is delicious!!

It felt like I was at a less happening Olive garden. The complimentary bread was warm and good. Just like olive garden, they had soups/salads served with their entrees. I and my friends were pretty full on the bread and soup before our entrees arrived but we have only the waiter their to blame. He took forever to take our orders he literally made us wait for over 25 minutes after our party arrived just to take our orders. And the restaurant was almost empty when we were there. He was waiting just our table and 2 others. The chicken was cooked perfectly in all our dishes and the cocktails were alright. I would suggest this place if you feel like olive garden but just slightly better. The soup was good too! And i particularly liked their mashed potatoes.

Went to Carrabba's for dinner. My BF and I love the chicken and seafood dishes. I ordered the grilled salmon w/fries and salad and he ordered the Tuscon Grilled Chicken with a side of steamed broccoli & penne. The penne was cold- waitress brought us a fresh side. The fresh warm bread and oil are very good. Service can be slow so bring your patience. Atmosphere is very relaxing- love the open kitchen and bar area. We will def be back for more yummy Italian meals. Saluti!

I've been here a couple times before and it's definitely not my first choice. We had a gift card to use up. We were welcomed and seated as soon as we walked in. The server came over soon after we were seated. We got our drinks quickly, but it took asking two other servers to get refills. I got the Tuscan grilled chicken. It was cooked perfectly and had good seasoning. The garlic mashed potatoes were your typical restaurant quality instant/pre made potatoes. My friends steak was grilled nicely, cooked to temp, and he said it was tasty. The restaurant was clean. The decor was pretty plain. The drop ceiling made it feel more like a cafeteria. We had a booth by the kitchen. It was loud. I could hear the staffs personal conversations. While they were just having fun, it wasn't very relaxing. Any time the manager came by, they all got quiet. The food was decent this time, although a bit pricey for the portions. The server was good initially but pretty much disappeared after the order was taken. Overall not a bad experience but again, it had no wow factor to make me want to come back.

I ordered the pasta and shrimp special, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Unfortunately, my daughter is vegetarian and ordered the Gnocchi Rossi, which was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and was very bland compared to my meal. The biggest downside of our visit was the service. We were trying to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time together, but our waitress interrupted us constantly--almost every time we took a bite. We repeatedly assured her that everything was fine, yet she continued coming back to the table. At one point, while we were still actively eating, she asked if we were ready for boxes. When I said no, she replied, "Oh, okay, you're just taking your time." It definitely felt like we were being rushed rather than encouraged to relax and enjoy our meal. To top it off, we were never offered dessert or after-meal options. Despite feeling a bit rushed and annoyed by the constant interruptions, we still left a good tip because the waitress was working hard and remained polite. Overall, the food was a mixed experience, the atmosphere was wonderful, but the service made what should have been a relaxing mother-daughter lunch feel hurried.

Friday night in early December. Walked in to be warmly greeted by waitstaff in santa hats. Restaurant and bar is full Christmas spirit with lights, trees and decorations. Very festive! The walls are adorned in caricatures of famous italian americans: actors, athletes, singers, politicians etc. There's also a room dedicated to fake italians, for actors who played iconic italian roles but are not in fact of italian dissent. We were in that room, which was fun for us because 2 our all time favs were in there: the Barones of Everybody Loves Raymond and some Soprano's characters. Normally I am not a fan of chain restaurants for italian food, but this place is special. The food was bellisimo! Absolutely delicious. The shrimp cocktail, were like small lobster tails they were so huge & fresh! The stuffed peppers appetizer itself could be a meal (and for me, it was) The peppers practically melted in your mouth, stuffed with ricotta, sausage, gorgonzola and crusted breadcrumbs with balsamic glaze drizzle. To DIE for! The one pound lasagna is EPIC. Yes it's huge, but it's also cooked and stuffed to perfection. Comes with a pitcher of extra sauce without having to ask! We were too stuffed for dessert. Loved it here. Hope they expand include a Long Island location someday.

The servers are not just taking orders, they actually understand the menu, the ingredients, the pairings. You can ask questions and get real answers. At one point I thought, these aren't bartenders, they're scientists. The level of knowledge and attention to detail is just different. The food completely lived up to that same standard. Every single person at the table was happy with their meal, which honestly says a lot. No one was picking around their plate or wishing they ordered something else. The chef clearly knows what they're doing. Everything was thoughtful, balanced, and just really, really good. Quick note on dessert though. It didn't quite match the level of the rest of the menu. Not bad, just not on the same level. If you're trying to be strategic, you can probably skip it and leave happy. Parking is easy, which I always appreciate. You've got valet or you can self park, so no stress there. If you're in Rochester, you really can't skip Redd Wood. Chicken wings were nicely spiced and no too saucy For the main we shared 2 steak frites- a bit more well done than the medium rare ordered but tender and tasty, fries are great- bordelaise sauce didn't have the depth of flavor I expected. For dessert we shared the lemon poppyseed cake and chocolate mouse. The cake was light and Lemony with a hint of poppyseed flavor. The mousse was very odd- super pale in color and the crunchy bits on top did not pair well with the texture of the mousse Service was attentive, sometimes a bit too much- reaching across the table to fill waters... maybe leave a bottle on the table? Unfortunately, this Mother's Day 5/10/26 experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to leave a review. We had reservations for 3:30 PM on Mother's Day, and in the special request section of the reservation, I clearly specified that this was a Mother's Day celebration. I also requested a quiet or private booth and mentioned that my daughter is vegetarian. Upon arrival, we were seated upstairs directly next to what appeared to be an employee service area. We could constantly hear employees talking, dishes being washed or thrown around, and overall it was easily the loudest table in the restaurant. What made this more frustrating was that another couple seated next to us complained loudly about their table and caused a scene. Although staff initially explained the restaurant was full, they were eventually moved. Meanwhile, we had politely requested a better table in advance through the reservation system, yet because we were patient and understanding, it felt like we were simply ignored. Service throughout the meal was inconsistent and inattentive. It took quite a while before anyone took our drink order. The wine menu presented to me only included wines by the glass, despite the fact that I later saw servers bringing full bottles of wine and champagne to other tables. I wanted to order a bottle of champagne for the occasion, but by the time our waitress finally arrived, I didn't want to complicate things further. Another detail that stood out was the complete lack of acknowledgment for Mother's Day. I overheard our waitress enthusiastically wishing other tables a "Happy Mother's Day" and asking if they were celebrating anything special, yet she never once acknowledged me or our celebration. My husband ordered a piña colada and was told they could not make one, so he settled for a strawberry martini that was overwhelmingly sweet and unenjoyable. We chose not to complain. The food itself, as always, was excellent and truly the highlight of the evening. However, the service continued to feel rushed and impersonal. I was planning to order my favorite espresso martini after dinner, but instead the bill was simply dropped at the table without anyone asking if we wanted dessert or another drink. One employee who was handling bread and water service also made us feel rushed. While I was literally still chewing my food, she interrupted to ask, "Should I bag that for you?" It made me feel like we were being pushed out. I was also disappointed that despite specifically mentioning my daughter was vegetarian in the reservation notes, our waitress never offered vegetarian suggestions or asked about dietary restrictions. At most upscale restaurants, this level of attentiveness is expected. The most upsetting part of the evening, however, was what felt like dismissive and unprofessional behavior toward us as Latinos. My husband has an accent, and our waitress repeatedly pretended not to understand him. At one point, after commenting on his accent, she laughed and said, "Or maybe I'm deaf." We found this rude, uncomfortable, and inappropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. Ironically, despite the poor experience, I still tipped over 20% -- more than $100 from our table alone -- because I did not want to reinforce unfair stereotypes about Latinos not tipping. Black & Blue has always justified its upscale pricing through excellent food and outstanding hospitality, which is why this experience was so disappointing. While the food remains exceptional, the atmosphere has become extremely loud and chaotic, to the point where it reminded me more of Red Lobster than the elevated dining experience this restaurant once offered. I truly hope management takes customer service more seriously moving forward, because this visit was nowhere near the standard Black & Blue used to represent.
