Four shells were inedible as they had not opened, we showed the server and got a $5 refund which was fair. She said the kitchen explained they receive them pasteurized and should be safe. Never heard this before. So they are not fresh shellfish. Chicken soup was good. Caesar salad was drenched in dressing. Bread and oil dip was delivered immediately and warm and tasty. Entrees of an Italian platter and Champaign chicken were both good and plentiful. We had a great server, except it took a while to get the check at the end. First time visiting Carrabba's and had a great time. We were quickly seated upon entering and was met with one of the best servers I've ever come across, "Mary." Ordered the ribeye cooked to the perfect requested medium rare. The mashed potatoes were tasty and my only complaint was the side of pasta was a bit over-done for my liking. This is the worst service I have ever had. I can't give ZERO STARS, so 1 is my only option. The server was not attentive, could not remember who had what and had a nonchalant attitude. Two of the kids didn't get their chicken strips, so we just canceled the order and got the checks and left dissatisfied, disappointed and pissed off by our server and the taste and quality of the food. This restaurant has become one of my staples when I'm craving Italian food! Carrabba's has a welcoming environment that allows it's guests to talk comfortably, even with a large group. It's a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy good food. I love the Carrabba's Italian Classics Trio because you get to have a little of three really delicious dishes: creamy alfredo pasta, crispy chicken parmesean, and a delicious peace of lasagna. I have also tried their chicken soup appetizer, which is very good. While all of the food is delicious, I have to say one of my favorite things about coming here is their fresh bread and herbed oil! What happened to Carrabba's?! My gentleman friend and I have been going there for years. We each ordered a tenderloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes and two sides. I wanted grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. There was an up-charge for the asparagus which was acceptable. My friend ordered penne with tomato sauce. We each had a salad as a starter and always get their delicious bread with an herbal oil dipping sauce. That's where things went down hill fast. When we asked about the bread our server said they ran out of bread. My steak was served without the asparagus and the garlic mashed potatoes looked gray with no garlic and lots of ground pepper. When I asked about the asparagus another server said it isn't ready yet. That came later. My steak was so tough, it was difficult getting a steak knife through it. When I finally cut a piece it was so chewy, I couldn't swallow it. By this time my asparagus was served. I sent my steak back and got it taken off final bill. Our server was pleasant and told us her manager went out to buy bread but by the time bread arrived we finished dinner. Bottom line: This was the weirdest dining experience I have ever had! I and my friends were pretty full on the bread and soup before our entrees arrived but we have only the waiter their to blame. Recently stopped in on Saturday around 2:00 to meet some friends for late lunch. Seated right away, server Michael was great, attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the grilled salmon w/fries and salad and he ordered the Tuscon Grilled Chicken with a side of steamed broccoli & penne. The penne was cold- waitress brought us a fresh side. The fresh warm bread and oil are very good. Service can be slow so bring your patience. Atmosphere is very relaxing- love the open kitchen and bar area. I've been here a couple times before and it's definitely not my first choice. We had a gift card to use up. We were welcomed and seated as soon as we walked in. The server came over soon after we were seated. We got our drinks quickly, but it took asking two other servers to get refills. I got the Tuscan grilled chicken. It was cooked perfectly and had good seasoning. The garlic mashed potatoes were your typical restaurant quality instant/pre made potatoes. My friends steak was grilled nicely, cooked to temp, and he said it was tasty. The restaurant was clean. The decor was pretty plain. The drop ceiling made it feel more like a cafeteria. We had a booth by the kitchen. It was loud. I could hear the staffs personal conversations. While they were just having fun, it wasn't very relaxing. Any time the manager came by, they all got quiet. The food was decent this time, although a bit pricey for the portions. The server was good initially but pretty much disappeared after the order was taken. The service was OK, but the kitchen couldn't cook my mom's tenderloin properly - it was raw and redone twice until she said to just leave it. Very disappointing. The sampler platter was so yummy - definitely recommend. My eggplant parm was also yummy and perfectly portioned. Hubby said pasta was OK, but it could've had more seafood. The waiter forgot my tea, and I just cancelled the order after 15 mins. To be fair, we did get a free dessert because of the tea and raw pork. I don't know if I would go back here. Based on reputation i was expecting high quality and good sized portions. The cost of the meals warranted this. I had chicken marsala. I asked the waitress to caution the kitchen not to overcook the chicken, which of course, it was. I had her return the dish and try again. Better the second time but the portion was small and the flavor akin to something I could buy frozen at Trader Joe's. The sausage soup which accompanied it was excellent and was a bowl not a cup. The sautéed spinach was flush with garlic which was good to me but my mate thought it a bit over the top. My mate had the filet and shrimp fettuccine. Again overcooked with mediocre flavors. 4 pieces of steak a 4 shrimp. The side salad was very good. With a glass of wine and tip, the $80 spent is why I've come to prefer cooking at home. The restaurant wasn't too busy as we went at an off time, which was nice. I ordered a peach iced tea to drink, which I loved so much. I do not know what was so special about it, but I had about three of them because they were just too good. To eat, I ordered the Johnny, which is a Tuscan-Grilled Sirloin Marsala, Chicken Bryan, a side of your choice, and a side salad. The quality of service and the food has gone downhill. When we were finally seated, we had two waitresses. We weren't sure why in the first place. We were expecting to order drinks and appetizers first and then order our meal. But we were rushed, they said we needed to order our meal now. I was a bit puzzled about their approach. The waitress didn't check in with us promptly to ensure our drinks were refilled. We ordered an appetizer, and it arrived cold. We didn't complain about it. Then when our meals arrived cold, we complained about both. Then they made another batch. It has come hot. However, it wasn't mixed in as it should have been made. I had a pasta weeise, and it was a lump of pasta next to a lump of shrimp and a lump of mushrooms with very little alfredo sauce. It was not like I remembered how food was made in the restaurant during the pre-COVID era. We have gone there frequently in the past. We would not want to come back again. Regardless of the experience, it was. The manager did give us a waiver for the appetizer. We tipped them 20% due to the stereotype that we have been experiencing as deaf customers at the restaurant. Returned last night and was not disappointed Our group enjoyed the warm, soft bread, dipping pieces in olive oil to start. Very, very tasty! Our main dishes, chicken marmalade- another had sirloin marmalade with mashed potatoes - and one of the specials, a giant meet ball filled with mozzarella cheese over spaghetti with broccoli on the size. All cooked to perfection and very large portions. Sorry, no room for desser!. All the staff were very professional, friendly and attentive without been overbearing. I typically don't leave negative reviews as I've worked in the food service industry for many years but this place is a mess. My fiancé has been working out of town in Rochester since January- this was the second time we've tried food from this particular Carrabba's and will certainly be the last. The first time we visited in person on a week night and got there around 4:30. The server was attentive but slow. We ordered drinks from the bar, an appetizer and my daughters food as she's a toddler and the sooner she's fed the better. Our appetizer took almost a half an hour to come out, our drinks took even longer. The food runner had delivered our appetizer to the table behind us, and then tried to pick it up from their table and give it to us. Due to how incredibly unsanitary that is, we politely asked for it to be taken back and remade. Our appetizer (the sampler) was brought back out not even five minutes later and was cold. The motzarella sticks were barely melted and the stuffed mushrooms were room temperature at best. It was very obvious they just waited a few minutes and brought the same appetizer back out. I asked to speak with the manager who kindly took that, and a round of drinks that had taken well over 30 minutes to come out off our bill. I was impressed with the way she handled the situation and decided to not write them off completely: Tonight I ordered from them again on door dash - I ordered an Italian salad with salmon and spaghetti and a meatball from the kids menu for my daughter. I received my food cold and no salmon on the salad, no meatball on the spaghetti. Terrible experience today. Tried to place an order online, unable to use carrabba's gift card online. I decided to call the store to place order. Girl answers phone and says I can order the phone but she has to transfer me to another person. I wait on hold several minutes no one answers before line is disconnected. I call back, the girl who answers the phone says we are really busy, an it will be a several minute wait before someone can take my phone order because "we are really busy". I said, I'm in the area I'll just come in. She replied oh okay. She then repeated that the store was really busy, and that if I came in, it would still be several minutes before anyone could assist me. I was like fine, I'll be there in a few minutes. I get there and I kid you not but the place was mostly empty. Only four tables has people at them. The hostess girl, whom I assume answered the phone said she had to get someone to take my order. A really sweet young man took my order, but his respectfulness and politeness made up for the fact that the kitchen completely messed up my order and left out 1/2 my order. So I had to return to the store to retrieve that 1/2 of my order that wasn't even in the bag. I waited almost 1/2 an hour for my order to be prepared and they still messed it up. I write all this to say, please avoid this restaurant/establishment. If they struggle with orders when business is slow, I can't imagine how awful things can get if they were busy.
