Spur of the moment decision to revisit Peppinos while we were in the area on a Saturday evening. We were greeted by a personable, young hostess who informed us that there was a table available. Our server acknowledged us arriving and said she'd be over shortly, which she was. A generous glass of house red was only $10. Soup or salad comes with each entree; the soup of the day was seafood in a tomato-based broth. The salad was fresh. Our entree choices were pasta with a huge meatball and chicken cacciatore. The CC was fantastic. Peppers and onions and sauce was spicy and the boneless chicken was sautéd perfectly. The portion was enough for another meal. An above average Italian place. The staff are always kind and attentive. The food is always solidly good. It is small inside, and always busy, but I have never had an issue getting a table. If there is a better Italian place in the area, I am unaware of it. read more

Update: Takeout from Peppinos. Huge portions. Daughter recently ordered the Greens and Beans and excited my senses to do the same. Unbelievable flavor. So rich, buttery and garlicy. The Chicken Cacciatore was mind blowing. The sauce must've been simmered all day! The main reason for theis update is the 3 bay leaves pictured. If Peppinos used a jar sauce or just "mailed it in" why would I find bay leaves! They really put the effort in and this is proven by the wonderful real homemade sauces served here. So happy we have good Italian out east! read more

I did an online order last night and did not pay too close of attention to the time I was ordering. It ended up being ready just around closing. I wanted to mention that because that did not affect the quality of my food, everything was delicious! I ended up going with a simple pasta dish and a cannoli for dessert. The sauce was delicious, pasta was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the italian bread and garlic butter that came with the meal. Excellent food and service. Good size portions. Numerous sauces for pasta including 3-4 different red sauces. I had Veal Parm with traditional red sauce and wife had Veal Marsala. Both were excellent and$26 with pasta side and nice house salad. I'm a sauce snob and I give their red 10/10. Wife's Marsala was also excellent but I have to agree with her, it had a little bite; I think just a little heavy handed on the black pepper. No liquor license as of yet but do offer a corking fee. Hope to have their license by early 2024. I will definitely return. Not a lot of fanfare but excellent food, very nice menu, affordable, clean and great service. read more

Finally tried this place. Very disappointed. Calamari was dry and had no flavor...mostly breading...along with a liquid red sauce they called marinara. The Manhattan clam chowder did not have one clam in it and it tasted like V8. Finally the main course appeared. It was good but I can definitely say without a doubt that it was frozen. The salad tasted as if it came out of a bag. The place is extremely small...diner type of place. No wine...no alcohol at all. Would not call this an Italian restaurant.
