I ordered the Shrimp Damian (a mobile app exclusive) and I wanted to love it, but the chef over did it with the salt and pepper. So much that I wasn't able to really consume it. You can tell that the flavor of the dish is good, but it was taken over by the seasoning. The last time I ordered calamari (normally good when you dine in) to go it was also too much salt and pepper. I'm not sensitive to either and I appreciate the effort to season the food, but none of us could eat it. Carrabba's is always my go-to when someone asks for a good steak spot, their ribeye is full of flavor, even if the medium-well can be a hit or miss at times. This visit, I sampled a few different dishes. The crab cakes were tasty, but the roasted red pepper sauce was a bit overpowering, so I'd get it on the side next time. The shrimp scampi appetizer is still a favorite, although the bread was so hard this time that it ruined the dipping experience. From the Classic Combo, the calamari was good, the mozzarella sticks lacked cheese, but the Bruschetta Caprese was fresh, flavorful, and the bread was perfectly toasted. It is unfortunate that one of my family's favorite dinner spots is Carrabba's, and even more unfortunate we usually order out. I have long been dissatisfied, disappointed, and less than thrilled with the take out experience. Orders have taken really long in the past, but never as long as it did on Mother's Day of 2026. I waited over TWO HOURS. 2!!!! To get my food and never did. I was even more upset when I walked into use the bathroom after an hour and a half and only one family was dining in. Workers were plentiful, but they were on their phone spaced out. I've worked in service. I have empathy. It's hard. But if your website says 50 minute wait, and after 50 minutes the website says my order is complete, and I have to wait an hour and 10 more minutes until the restaurant closes to be told my food hasn't even been started yet I'm going to be pretty upset. The service was great and our waiter (Keagan) recommended a chicken trio as a sampler, considering it was my first time there and it did not disappoint. Carrabba's is my go to whenever I'm Italian food! Let me say I usually go for their happy hour because they moved their amazing wings to hh only! Boooo. Anyways the peach sangria pitcher is always my go to or occasionally blackberry but I prefer peach because it's a little sweeter. I love that they moved a small portion of the mezzaluna a chicken stuffed ravioli to the happy hour menu as well. Honestly I've had every appetizer that doesn't include pork and they are all packed with a flavor punch. When dining for dinner I usually go for the chicken Marsala I am OBSESSED! I've been to Carrabba's Italian Grill before and had decent experiences, but this was my first time at this particular location--and unfortunately, it will be my last. I decided to treat myself to a solo birthday lunch and when I walked in, it wasn't crowded at all. I actually felt optimistic because I assumed a slower afternoon would mean better service and attention. Boy, was I wrong. During my short visit, I had a total of three different servers, and unfortunately none of them provided good service. There was no consistency, no follow-up, and overall it just felt very disorganized. For my appetizer, I ordered the calamari. It was so dry it felt more like chips than actual calamari. I barely touched it, and to his credit, the first waiter did remove it from my bill. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp and scallops in vodka sauce. It had absolutely no flavor whatsoever, and the scallops tasted old and fishy. At that point, I was pretty much over the entire experience. To make matters worse, I had also ordered the $10 take-home meal, and they completely forgot to prepare it, which caused me to wait even longer. Overall, both the food and the service were subpar. I was utterly exhausted after my first day/night in Crystal City, VA! I had a long drive for an early flight out of Fort Wayne, IN, connection in Atlanta, before arriving in DC. I then had a day and night involving the major industry meeting I was representing my company on. I just did not have any energy left after to go to a restaurant. I've started the keto diet recently and discovered Carrabba's through Doordash. The food is always so good. I've had the 7 oz sirloin, sautéed spinach, broccoli, but by far my favorite thing has been the grilled pork chop. It's tender and juicy, unlike my pork at home. Before I started the diet, I had the fettuccine alfredo as a side and it is to die for. Fresh pasta and the sauce is delicious! I also miss being able to eat the WARM bread dipped in the olive oil and herbs they send with it. You can't Miss with Carrabba's. read more

Tried something new that wasn't pasta -the scallops with lemon butter sauce. It was delicious. Even coming 10 miles from the restaurant it was still very warm and tasty which was a surprise considering the traffic. Cesar salad was crispy and the dressing as yummy as always. Not too great honestly. Had calamari for appetizer and that amount of salt and grease that is visible on every single piece is not really appealing to my cholesterol and blood pressure. Well I had to drop the stars because this meal I had was not it. I should have just went with what I had last time or tried the lobster ravioli. This pasta had no flavor at all and was very watery. I guess the crushed tomatoes wasn't suppose to coat the pasta because it seemed like they was just placed on there for color. The shrimp was grilled but the char was a little too much and some of it came off all in my mouth. But at least they were cooked right. Garlic I asked for extra but that couldn't help this dish. The salad also was horrible! I didn't know a house salad would not contain tomatoes, cheese, and other salad options. I guess carrots aren't my jam because I did not like them in this bland salad. Well, we are hungry again and found this place. We sat at the bar and Savanah was the bartender. She greeted us with a welcoming attitude. She made some suggestions and it was happy hour at 3 pm. My chicken soup was delicious, almost as good as mine. It had big chunks of chicken in it. The chicken parm sandwich was dry. So, I put the bread oil with seasoning on it. Made it tasty. Savanah made the best cosmopolitan, and tasty. They have 3 TVs to watch whatever. Savanah has almost completed college for forensics. Congratulations.
