This place felt like a retirement home in terms of decor, aroma, and taste... not the best pick for someone under 65.

Went here for breakfast and felt like we hit the jackpot! Great food in big quantities that was inexpensive.

Each dining area features different Chinese-style decorative patterns on the tables, creating a unique atmosphere. The environment is very clean and well maintained. The salad bar, fruits, and desserts offer a great variety, and everything is fresh, high quality, and delicious. The ice cream is also excellent. Sushi and hot dishes can be customized, ( good choice for vegan or vegetarian )

Not near it. OUT OF IT. At that point I wasn't sure if I was eating at a buffet or witnessing a wildlife documentary. The shrimp smelled like it had been shipped here on the Mayflower. One sniff and my nose filed a formal complaint. I considered calling the health department just so someone else could smell what I smelled and confirm I wasn't hallucinating. To make things even better, when it was time to pay, the staff hovered over me while I signed the receipt like they were proctors at the SAT exam. Nothing says "great dining experience" like feeling pressured into tipping after playing Russian roulette with the seafood. The food looked exhausted, the shrimp smelled like low tide, a fly emerged from my sushi like it was paying rent there, and the only thing fresher than the food was the pressure to leave a tip. One star because the fly at least seemed happy with the meal.

Our waitress not so much, I'm a server too and my standards are pretty low because I know what the restaurant industry is like, but they were not busy, I saw her refilling other tables coffee and ignoring us, and seemed bothered when I asked for a refill, might go back but if you don't like your job, don't do it

I really wanted to like this restaurant. Their weekend breakfast buffet is small but has a nice…read morevariety of homemade food and is served until noon. We went a few Sundays in the late spring and had a good experience. When Knoebel's opened, the experience went downhill. We drew the line when we went in on a Sunday where large groups were present, and they apparently had no clue on buffet etiquette, or just didn't care. Cleanliness and food safety are huge to me after I got horrible food poisoning at another buffet in the area and spent 4 days in the ICU with it. While the buffet area itself was clean and the food was to temperature, there were many patrons taking dirty plates back up. We notified our server who just looked at us and kind-of shrugged and walked away. My husband approached one of them and said, "Please don't keep taking dirty plates back up to the buffet.". One of them chastised him and told him he was "nuts" and that he was lying that it's not OK to do that. Plates are not at the buffet - the server brings them, and will bring two sets at the beginning, and then will replenish when needed. When we left, we informed another server that it was gross to do that and they're opening themselves up for issues if the health department stopped by, she asked why we didn't say anything. We said that we did but the server didn't seem to care. She yelled "I care!" from behind a door, but that was enough for us to opt to not return until Knoebel's was closed for the year. We suggested that they consider keeping the plates at the buffet area to discourage that. We decided to try again recently. Not only was there a large group there taking their dirty plates back up, but they were also taking dirty utensils up and using them. I was 3/4 through my plate when I saw that and refused to eat any more. My husband again said something to them, and they just pretended as if he didn't hear. We again said something to the server and suggested that they need to put signs up saying to not take dirty plates back up, or again to put plates at the buffet, but I'm fairly confident nothing will be done. There are other reviews out there that bring up questions of cleanliness, which is concerning. Unsure whether we'll try to return or not. At 10 am, much of the hot side of the buffet was empty, and not restocked while we were there, which is another strike.

We didn't know what to expect, especially seeing a few right-leaning shirts at the tables around us. Noticing this place while on a road trip we wanted to try it out. Breakfast was priced at $10.99 on the website. We got two plus one coffee and with tip the bill was about $35. Didn't add up, but ok. I noticed a few comments here about the staff being rude. We didn't experience that. From the cashier to the people serving drinks and picking up plates, they were nice and helpful. The food was ok, not great, but good for the price paid. I mean, from the mountains of food people were putting on their plates I'm a little confused how they make a profit. As a vegetarian and diabetic I had limited choice. If you are a meat eater, about every breakfast meat you can imagine they had, even something called scrapple, which is a regional thing I guess. There was an omelette station too. There was a dessert bar also. My husband -who has a sweet tooth- got a blueberry pie type dessert and could barely eat it because it was too sweet. As a diabetic it was good to see they had sugar free syrup and one sugar free dessert. On the buffet I could only have the eggs, mushrooms and a few house breakfast potatoes- which were quite good. We got there a little after 8:30 a.m. and it wasn't super busy. There was no waiting in line. When we left 45 minutes later, there was a huge line. Overall happy we tried it out. If we lived here we may go back to try out lunch or dinner. This isn't gourmet food, and for the price paid you wouldn't expect it. If you go, enjoy it for what it is.

Did I like everything on the buffet, no, but I did find plenty that I did like. They have a hot bar, a salad bar, a specialty bar, and a bakery bar. Nothing there was terrible, nothing was inedible, as some reviews have hinted. Some I liked better than others and In fact I'd go as far to say it's probably one of the better buffets in the area. For all you can eat, the price was very reasonable. If you can't find enough good food that you like to eat here, you are way too uppity to be eating at a buffet. I'd definitely go back, and soon.
