As someone with no health insurance, I have to say I had an excellent experience. Whenever I…read morearrived, the intake receptionist and patient billing advocate, Jacque Lambert explained all of the information and potential costs to me up front which was very much appreciated. I knew I needed to see a doctor so I agreed and proceeded to. Complete the intake paperwork which is when I was called back by the ER Nurse Brent. He was also great and explained everything while answering ALL of my questions. I then had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Coppola who was very understanding, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood what was going on. While I may have only been for a simple dog bite analysis and check up, I felt like every person had MY best interests in mind. I received a brief treatment as well as prescription and explanation of next steps; however, I felt very confident and informed when leaving. I think everyone did a great job! The place had an immaculate waiting room and I received expedited treatment and services which was a pleasant surprise that left me with a feeling of having a great overall experience! I would definitely recommend this location and all of the staff I had interactions with, as they were very informative and were happy to answer any questions I had (a lot). I will be visiting this location in the future if and when the need arises! Thank you for the excellent experience and service!

To be fair, we previously took our pets to this practice at their former location and received…read moreacceptable care. Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.

They did several breathing treatments on me and gave a round of IV cortisteroids then sent me home and said if I didn't feel better to come back. Well about 12 hours later I was worse again and had to come back. This time they admitted me. Once admitted the first MD examined me and really didn't ever say anything at all and just left. They were basically just watching me and giving breathing treatments every six hours. Next day my breathing wasn't any better and blood work was getting worse so more IV cortisteroids and antibiotics. Next day no better and at one point the MD told me that it was probably just a hold over from covid and that I might be like this for 6 months and that I just needed to relax. They sent me home the next day with me feeling no better and not being able to stop coughing or breath well. I sent all of my labs from the hospital to my personal MD who doesn't have privileges at this hospital and after a phone conversation she changed my antibiotic and the next day started feeling better. It turns out I had a relatively rare bacterial infection in my lungs that the hospital didn't catch and could have caused severe organ damage or even death if left untreated. All the while the MD's at the hospital didn't even think there was anything really wrong with me. They gave me enough Steroids to keep me going but not fix anything. I would not ever go back here or recommend it to anyone.
