Tony Cu made us do it! We saw his TikTok review of Carrie's Crispies and immediately added it to our must-visit list while in town visiting family this past weekend (worth the 45 minute drive). It looked way too good to pass up and it did not disappoint. This bright turquoise gem is tucked into a quiet neighborhood, and it's absolutely adorable inside. Small, cozy, and full of charm. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Now for the main event: the treats. I walked in thinking I'd grab one or two... and walked out with EIGHT. I went with 3 S'mores (yes, three--no regrets), Puppy Chow, Almond Pistachio, Brown Butter & Sea Salt, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, and Caramel Bourbon. Every single one I've tried so far has been delicious! Perfectly chewy, marshmallowy, rich in flavor, and so creative. I could've kept going, but my wallet told me otherwise. If you're anywhere near West Allis or up for a roadtrip, this place is a must. We'll definitely be back soon. I think I might even add this to my roadtrip routine.

I have purchased Carrie's Crispies on three separate occasions, including this afternoon. They make awesome gifts for coworkers, friends, and families. They have a variety of flavors and the vast majority of them are gluten-free. They often have seasonal flavors, including root beer float, pineapple mai tai, and strawberry margarita this summer. Both Carrie and her husband, Brian, are really sweet people. Support small businesses!

New to the gf life so always on the look out for my favorites and especially sweets. I recently was researching rice crispy and treats but no real help. Saw Carries table at the Harvest fest and bought a peanut butter rice Crispie it is pretty darn good. I will be visiting the brick and mortar store soon -

Carrie's Crispies has the best customer service and worked to create a delicious package of 3 minis for his 3rd birthday. They created the cutest labels and provided bags for the treats. We chose birthday cake, puppy chow and maple bacon for our selection. We received rave reviews on everything. Also had to try their sampler and other flavors. Happy to support woman small local businesses and keep them going especially during COVID. Highly recommend for great treats and gifts as a sweet treat option.

The lunch menu has a huge variety of options, which made it tough to choose. I went with the BLT on sourdough, served with a pickle spear and thick-cut potato chips. It totally hit the spot. The bacon they use is fantastic. My friend ordered the Sriracha Melt (ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, jalapeños, and sriracha mayo grilled on white bread), which also came with chips and a pickle. Immediately devoured. The salads looked incredible....the table next to us ordered a couple and they looked absolutely divine. Next time for sure. The adjacent market is a must-browse too. It's packed with specialty products and rare finds that you don't see everywhere, making it easy to walk out with way more than you planned. Great food, great service, and a fun market to explore. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near West Allis.

Had a great lunch at West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe!…read more We ordered The Cliff (turkey, bacon, pepper cheese, tomato, arugula, and avocado crema on ciabatta) and the breakfast sandwich special a Smoked Ham Bagel (jalapeño cheddar, ham, jalapeño cream cheese, hot honey, and fried egg). Both were fantastic! There was street parking available, and while we arrived at a peak time, we were able to find a table after a brief wait once we ordered. There was a covered patio seating area that was also being utilized. After lunch, we browsed the connected store, with a nice selection of cheese and sausage, of course, and lots of great local products. Friendly service, generous portions, and delicious food - we'll be back!

This traditional European-style Christmas market features over 60 vendors, including artisan crafts, handmade gifts, and Wisconsin specialty foods. There were so many unique items to browse, from ornaments and décor to homemade treats. The food and drink options were fantastic -- local food trucks like EZ Tiki, Flip's Mini Donuts, Tots on the Street, and Milwaukee Pretzel Company, plus local beer, made it easy to snack while walking. The weather was decent, which made strolling through the market enjoyable, though it was definitely busy with lots of holiday shoppers. Live music and festive decorations added to the cheerful atmosphere. Parking was convenient with several nearby lots, and the layout made it easy to explore despite the crowds. A fun, lively holiday event -- perfect for shopping, enjoying seasonal treats, and getting into the Christmas spirit!

I have not been to the MM in a while, so I'm not sure when this was a new policy. I took a bag that I usually take to other grocery stores, because I am not going to bring a lot of things and try to save plastic. That being said, we were approached by an employee who, while respectful enough was still offputting to inform us that we could not put groceries in the bag as we shopped, but needed to have a cart or basket. I didn't see any signs to this effect in English or Spanish and so I was very confused, but of course obliged. Now I understand why the staff lady gave us a nasty look when we first came in, but we had no idea! Please make this policy more clear; for now going to return to friendlier ethnic stores.

Anyone who follows me knows I'm a BBQ hound all over the country and I never do pulled pork because it doesn't interest me but Mexican carnitas on the other hand is something I have to always get. The store is pretty much the same as the 27 st location with the ice cream shop, meat, deli, produce, western union thing, hot table, dine in seating etc etc. The meat prices in the weekly ad seem very reasonable. The carnitas is my only reason to stop over and compared to other Mexican stores it isn't in a swimming pool of lard at this location and are on the dry side which I prefer over a pool of lard but I like them as they are. The hot table is way more than Mexican with a variety of items including pizza puffs etc etc. The cashier was friendly and greeted me with a good morning. Now that I have two Mexican food stores in the area I'm going to see who has the best carnitas.
