Simply put, what they do they do very well. The popcorn was sweet and crunchy without being clawingly sweet, with a little hint of saltiness. A perfect combination. The salted caramel chews are perfectly chewy and luscious and garnished with the slightest hint of salt to contrast the sweetness. Try eating just one! I've also had the chocolate caramels which are absolutely out of this world delicious. The products are a little pricey, but well worth the few extra dollars for the flavor and quality that sets them apart from the rest. Looking forward to trying more of their confections in the near future!

I also can't elaborate much on the shop itself as this tube of popcorn was a Christmas gift. That's okay because it's what I thought of the popcorn that matters, right? Before I share my thoughts, let me clarify what caramel corn actually is. Standard popcorn is mixed with a heated caramelized candy syrup and allowed to cool. Depending on the manufacturer, the caramel corn is sometimes baked in an oven after mixing to increase the crispness. L&P takes there version up a notch by splashing in some sea salt. Although the sea salt is not the strongest, I do have to say that this is still one of the better caramel corns that I've had. It's sweet, crispy, crunchy, and tough to put down. I'm just disappointed I didn't receive one of their more exciting flavors as the website lists: Birthday Cake, Cookie & Cream, Caramel Cold Brew, Peanut Butter Cup, French Toast, and S'mores. Just like it's namesake, Joyaux (meaning "jewel" in French) values every handmade truffle and confection like a precious gem with care, detail and quality gleaming in each one. The box assembled has a great range of flavors that really helps to complement each other. I ate the double chocolate truffle, so rich, dark and decadent, and then followed it up with raspberry pate de fruit which was bright, sparkling and REALLY popped compared to the richness of the chocolate. The sourdough dark chocolate pretzels are something I personally could eat an entire bag of, so they're plenty dangerous and could be paired with beer, whisky or your favorite cocktail easily. Soft carmel was chewy but only JUST chewy enough where I didn't feel like I'd have to go to the dentist to get my fillings redone like some carmels I'm legit afraid of. The white chocolate raspberry ganache truffle was smooth and creamy like how you picture white chocolate. The hint of raspberry lingers around at the end of the flavor - for those who love raspberry I could even seen that getting punched up a little. The Arc de Triomphe (get it, the name is French?!!) is the peanut butter truffle. It's a souped-up Reese's on steroids. If you like chocolate and you like peanut butter (who doesn't?) you're gonna fall in love with this treat. Something they do with the peanut butter filling gives it an extra layer of complexity and just a hint of crunch.
