Great staff, big rooms with natural light, a playground (multiple) out back, CONCOURSE ACCESS for indoor walks and travel to the NYS museum (not like there's ever a need for an indoor walk in Albany), outside twice a day as toddlers, outside every day as babies, they use the parks near them and enjoy picnics in Washington Park or the sprinklers in Lincoln Park....I always felt safe and comfortable with her at CP, and when I picked her up she would often be very busy playing, even at the end of the day. No teachers on phones taking pictures of kids to text to parents. No screens, no swings, no bouncers. They have their methods and they involve really respecting the kids.

Spoke to the assistant manager and everything sounds great. I specifically asked about availabilities on the phone before I make this tour appointment. I clearly explained to the manager which days I need coverage for my child. Everything sounded great on the phone so we decided to take a tour of the place before we start enrollment. I got there 15 minutes early with my toddler. The manager asked me to sign in and after take a seat, my child and I sat there almost half an hour before the manager came back and told us there was no availability and there's no reason in taking the tour, but she would love to put us on the waiting list.. I mean good God that's not what I was told on the phone. Just a waste of time. This was certainly unprofessional. Moving forward please improve communication.

Now my son speaks fluent English and Spanish and is able to write his name, say the alphabet in Spanish and English and is even starting to READ and he is only 4! My daughter was very shy when she started school and is now very comfortable with all of the teachers and her friends. She too knows numbers and letters in Spanish and English and has become much more independent! I am blown away at the level of care that BGA provides. I had my daughter enrolled in this center for two months. This place is very overpriced for what…read morethey actually offer. They do not provide any food. I would send her with breast milk, and they would put it in a bottle and not mark whether or not she drank from the bottle, so I would have to throw out the milk. She was out many times due to fevers and positive COVID cases in the classroom, and they would still charge us for those days. She had an incident that has left her with a lifelong scar. She fell and hit her face on the edge of the table and cut her eyebrows. Due to the placement of the injury, her hair will not grow back there. This frustrated me tremendously because, although I understand things happen, in a classroom filled with babies, you would think things would be childproof, but apparently not. When I reached out to corporate, all they said was that the tables are safe, despite my child's incident. The assistant director did not care whatsoever about what happened and showed zero concern for my daughter. They contacted us and stated it was a minor injury. As soon as I saw the pictures, I just cried. We removed her from the center immediately. Since these events occurred on the 1st of December and we had just paid for that month, they refused to give us a refund. After numerous calls to corporate, they refunded me the money; however, they never mentioned making any changes to protect the children.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew they were loved, cared for, and treated like family. We were fortunate enough to experience both the original in-home daycare and the transition to the Parkside Kids center, and it was seamless. The same love, attention, and family atmosphere that made us feel at home from the very beginning only continued to grow. The peace of mind that comes from knowing your children are happy and safe each day is something every parent hopes for, and Parkside Kids gave us exactly that. Every teacher and caregiver has been incredible. They didn't just care for our children--they encouraged them, celebrated their milestones, and helped them grow into the amazing little girls they are today. Along the way, our girls made friendships and memories they'll carry with them for years to come. The facility is always impeccably clean, communication has consistently been excellent, and it's clear how much pride everyone takes in creating a warm, welcoming environment. It is clear Steph and Parkside's wonderful teachers love what they do, and our toddler son felt right at home from our very first day at the center. Steph's years of experience operating an in home center have seamlessly scaled to a larger daycare center setting while maintaining high standards and a close knit family feel. We have been less than impressed by other daycares in the area but have always felt comfortable and confident leaving our son in Parkside's very capable hands. In addition to the wonderful owner/director and staff, the indoor and outdoor play areas are clean and appropriately stimulating for young children. There is so much space and variety for children to explore, play, and burn energy, which is a huge plus for our active little one. I always have to drag my son out of Parkside at pick up time because he just loves playing with the excavators and rocks outside! The extreme cleanliness of the facility, nutritious and included meals, convenient hours of operation, frequent updates and pictures via the Brightwheel app, and reasonable rates are other things we appreciate. She assures that each child reaches their full potential and their curricular activities. Additionally, Miss Kitty's is helpful and supportive, particularly in regards to scheduling, and demonstrating a genuine interest in the children's success. The learning environment is also enhanced by the decorations making it comfortable and conducive for children to learn.
