The faculty has been incredibly supportive, advocating for students' concerns while maintaining transparency and accountability. They provided the necessary resources for those willing to take initiative in their education and seek help when needed. Dean Green, in particular, actively listened to our feedback as nursing students and implemented meaningful changes that improved the program. The instructors were dedicated to our success, guiding us through complex nursing concepts and ensuring we were well-prepared for clinical practice. Hands-on experience in both the skills lab and clinical rotations was invaluable, allowing us to apply what we learned in real-world healthcare settings. This program claims to stand for student success, but that is far from the reality. The staff consistently fail to advocate for students, show little accountability, and appear far more interested in collecting tuition than supporting education. The Respiratory Therapy program is especially disappointing and clearly in need of major restructuring Many instructors are disengaged, unapproachable, and outright rude to students including Concerns are routinely ignored, communication is poor, and leadership is essentially absent. A large portion of staff seem disconnected from both students Multiple clinical sites have openly expressed negative experiences with this school and its faculty staff and embarrassing reflection of how the program is run. If I could give 0 stars I would My experience at Carrington College for the nursing program has been nothing but exhausting, disappointing, and unfair. I came here genuinely wanting to become a nurse -- I put in years of hard work, time, and money, only to be treated like I didn't matter. The amount of disorganization, constant instructor turnover, lack of consistency, and biased treatment is unbelievable. Every semester felt like starting over because policies changed depending on who was in charge that week. I was never properly supported, even when I tried to follow the rules. When I asked for help or clarity, I was ignored or criticized. Instructors graded unfairly and differently for each student -- it wasn't based on performance, it was based on favoritism. The school loves to talk about "student success" and "support," but in reality, it's all about keeping your tuition checks coming in while offering the bare minimum in return. They also mishandled situations that should have been dealt with professionally -- including issues with communication, accommodations, and evaluations. It's sad because students come here with real goals and dedication, but you get stuck fighting a system that doesn't care about your education or future. If you're considering Carrington College, save yourself the stress, time, and money. Look for a program that actually values its students and practices fairness and transparency. Well, if you're 20 probably admission is easy, getting them to recognize an official document embossed with a state seal, forget it, getting them to accept an immunization record from CVS pharmacy, both what the pharmacy gave me AND the pharmacist speaking to them, forget it. They have campuses in CA so why they can't verify CA school and immunization records is bizarre. Just call your sister school people and they can verify. Basically you're on your own for admission. I have all the funds available, so I guess I'll just give my money to a school that actually puts in some effort with the admission requirements. Update to my review 6 months ago. I would still give zero stars if that was an option. So they sent me to collections for the semester they made me retake just to take the exit exam again. After telling me multiple times not to worry and they would work with me with it when the time came to pay it, nope just sent me to collections without even notifying me. I contacted the financial ad lady and she said the sorry it wasn't her and said the school finance dept just did it. So now I have one negative thing on my credit report. This school is an absolute joke and only cares about getting your money. Don't waste your time please read my other review. You can pass every single class but if you can't pass the exit exam you won't get a degree and they don't tell you this until the very end. Wasted 3 1/2 years and almost 50k at this school. I was excited to apply for Carrington's Respiratory Therapy program and applied for their February 2026 start date, which was for evening classes. Two weeks later, I was told that the schedule for that class had been changed to 9 AM-3 PM. This does not help at all -- it's completely unrealistic for students who work or have families. I was initially told that nighttime classes only run twice a year because it's hard to find instructors, but then I was later told they stopped offering night classes because "daytime students perform better," which doesn't seem accurate and feels like an excuse. Decisions like this make it much harder for people to attend school while also providing for their families, and I can see why there's a shortage of healthcare workers. Overall, this was a horrible decision, and the program's communication and scheduling choices feel inconsiderate and frustrating for students with real-life responsibilities. The dental assistant program is an amazing learning experience. The teachers Mrs. Baugh and Mrs. Anderson are patient and always ready to break down steps for students who need the extra help. There are rooms so we can do hands-on training for real world dental situations. We also have the opportunity for extra time/ help on Fridays, where one on one moments are available. Thank you Carrington College for offering evening Medical Assisting classes. I was able to keep up with my life during the day and only had to attend class instruction twice a week. This allowed me the flexibility I needed to complete assignments at my convenience, while adhering to deadlines of course. In the beginning it was a little rough, but with my dedicated persistence and my instructor's (Ms. Jacque) reliable guidance, I not only completed the program, I also graduated with honors. If I can do it then anyone can, but please, only serious students apply. These classes move at a fairly quick and steady pace and one can easily fall behind if they do not stay on top of their workload. I've found that during my time there, as students fall behind they are quick to blame others while failing to accept responsibility and accountability. I personally know Ms. Jacque will open up the lab and classroom to those in need of extra time/assistance. I encourage those interested to contact the school and schedule a tour or look for upcoming open house information. Of special note: at times there was bickering with staff and even students, which is unprofessional. Staff could probably use some team building exercises and disrespectful students should NOT be tolerated in the classroom...it interrupts the learning environment, discourages classroom engagement and adds unnecessary stress to all parties. read more

If I could give this school a ZERO I would. The administrative on campus staff is negligent, incompetent and the absolute worst that I have ever encountered in a scholastic association. I have been attending school since 1988 and this campus staff should be REPLACED. The staff personnel is extremely dishonest (Shawnie Morgan), ASSistant Director of Career Services is a habitual LIAR. She robbed me of my decision to graduate. I have been working extremely hard in the online program to reach the culmination of the program to be told 'there are no more tickets available for graduation. There was a computer glitch, and an entire class did not receive notification about graduation'. is totally unacceptable. The level of ineptitude of the administrative staff is extremely unsettling. It is amazing that I can receive all their other correspondence, for financial aid, or docusign documents that benefits the school, but there was a system glitch for graduation notification. They have a designated email and Outlook Mail system for each student, but for whatever reason I was unable to receive graduation correspondence. She said that it was sent to my personal email. She had the audacity to say, 'I will be sure to add you to the next graduation class'. When is that? NEXT JUNE. I had to end my call immediately without a response and refrain from her taking me to a place that I chose not to visit mentally. Instead, I am going to reach out to ALL platforms available and make them aware of what transpired and my experience with this entity. read more

Medical billers and medical coders are the healthcare professionals in charge of processing patient data such as treatment records and related insurance information. Medical insurance billers and coders are tasked with coding a patient's diagnosis along with a request for payments from the patient's insurance company. Both medical billing and medical coding professions are involved in the medical reimbursement cycle, which ensures that healthcare providers are accurately and efficiently paid for the services they perform. After months going to Carrington they helped me find an externship at OptumCare and before I finished my hours I got hired full time. When I signed up for school through Carrington they fed me lies on how I would jump into the work force after going through their medical coding and billing, come to find out after paying too much money for the schooling, the credential is not even one that is for coding. I specifically asked to do the coding program before I signed up. After finishing at the top of my class I was told by my career advisor that I would only get an entry level position ( receptionist) or something similar and then I would have to work my way up. If that was what I was told in the beginning I would have just went and got a job as a receptionist and worked my way up, I paid for this program to be able to start at the level I was told I was going to...a medical coders. I am now in AAPC and am learning so much that will make me be prepared to get a coding position once I'm finished. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY THROUGH CARRINGTON! read more

I inquired about medical billing program. The admission advisor was pushy and very rude from the first phone call. She talked down to me and was very discouraging. You need to take an 8 minute assessment test., to pass the test, a score of 13 is required. I took the test and received an 18. She called me back and had so much surprise in her voice. Very insulting when you are asked to $15000 for a MBC online program. Then we spoke about to fill out forms, and me talking to financial aid. I told her that I had a full Time career and was busy working, but gave her my availability. I filled out the majority of forms except the enrollment form. We had not talked about when courses start and personally I want to know how I could pay for something before committing. The following day I was receiving brazen emails that I did complete the enrollment form. She ask if I had questions- I had several. She tried to hold the form over my head as a condition to meet with financial aid. I felt completely bullied. I was interested in the program so I ignored it. Plus Carrington was the first school I inquired about. Financial aid was helpful and informative. I was thinking the cost was a lot, but I know that online schools are expensive, but didn't do any research at the time. So I started to I need to do research. I got a text from Angela Allen the rude admissions advisor telling me that she was voiding my admissions paperwork because I was not committing to a 3/1/21 start date. I asked if we could hold it for a few days to see if I could get funding and again she was rude. So I told her to void my paperwork. I've worked in Academic in the UC system & NSHE for over 25yrs. I would never treat a perspective student in the manner I was treated. It was unprofessional and disrespectful. I choose to spend my hard earned money elsewhere. There are a lot of negative reviews about Carrington College, so I thought that it was important that I share my positive experience. I decided to go back to school after leaving my job of 11 years. My enrollment rep Kristie was extremely friendly and helpful with getting registered for school. At the time I was unemployed but due to my earnings from the previous years I did not qualify for financial aid. Maria my financial aid advisor helped me to prove that I currently had no earnings, so that I was able to get the financial aid I needed to be able to attend school. My goal was to finish my program and land a job with my externship. I expressed this to my career service adviser Shana and she made sure to place me at an extern site that was actually looking to hire. I ended up accomplishing my goal and landed the job from my extern site once my program was finished. I decided to continue my education and earn my associates degree in health studies. I love that they give you the option to earn more than just a certificate. This is my last week in school with them and I will have earned my associates degree. I am now looking to continue my education and get my bachelors through one of the schools that Carrington has a transfer credit agreement with. Yes Carrington is more expensive than a community college, but the flexibility that is offered for a working adult and the career focused programs they provide was well worth the money to me. I attended a community college straight out of high school and the hands on training and care that I received at Carrington was amazing compared to what I experienced at the community college I previously attended. read more

It really depends on how you do when it comes to vocational or excelerated schools. I don't really understand why people complain about how shitty this school is. Administration is involved for no reason other than money. They treat the students like everything is an issue. I was just placed on a student success plan for reporting a sexual harassment issue I was involved in/over heard. I was penalized for knowing the code of conduct and reporting inappropriate behavior like our student code of conduct states we should do. Their reasoning was "to keep everyone on the same page" and "because there was no way to actually tell what happened between when the issue started and when it was reported". I am NOT happy with my overall experience as a student here and I would sway people from even meeting with admissions after being enrolled since November. read more

MA programs is what i'm in right now. I enjoy the night class a lot. We learn a variety of things to do in MA field. I learn about what to do, and how to do it properly. After all if you really study hard and into medical field. You will enjoy the class no matter what school you go to. Teacher are awesome, staffs are super nice and helpful. The facility is clean. I'm honestly not sure what to rate this school. My teacher for most of my modules was Feliciano Gonzalez. He was amazing, fantastic, definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had in my life. He was experienced in medical billing and coding and knew what he was teaching us. Whenever we were having trouble he would go over it with the whole class. No questions were considered stupid and he always found time to help us out individually. He made sure that we were all doing great and that we understood the concepts. The program I was in had 6 modules in it. Sadly, I only had Mr. Fez for 5 of those modules. Here are some of the reasons why Carrington made me mad: 1) we kept switching classrooms. I've been in about 3 different classrooms my whole time there. 2) the school didn't even have the decency to tell us when our teacher's last day was so we didn't even get to a say nice farewell to him. (Our next teacher Ms. Jennifer Jackson was great though. She has a lot of experience within the medical field and was trying to make us as comfortable as we were with Mr. Fez. There were some moments when she couldn't really help us out since she was more of a medical assistant than a medical biller/coder but she still helped us to the best of her abilities.) 3) The MBC program DOES NOT get you prepared for the billing portion. They're more focused on the coding portion which isn't too good considering my extern site is specifically for medical billing only, sooo I had no idea what I was doing. I still don't have a clue lol I'm just glad that the people I work for are kind and have plenty of patience. I'm planning on visiting Carrington just to give them a heads-up and maybe let them teach more billing as well. Once I left Carrington the students that were left behind were told that they were going to have about 4 more substitute teachers until the actual MBC teacher came back from sick leave. 4) I don't know if it was the rest of the staff that's having a problem but it seemed as if the communication was terrible. There was one time staff kept telling all classes and their teachers that school hours would change from 8:00-12:30pm to 7:30-12:00 pm. My class could not be apart of that schedule since many of them are parents and had to drop off their kids to school and get their kids from school. Irritated and confused we decided to message corporate and ask them why they were changing the schedules.... They had NO idea what we were talking about... read more

And when she is she doesn't teach is. She's to busy looking for activities for her family to do on weekends or playing game on her phone. I've tried to complain about it and they just dismiss you. The Respiratory Program here is wonderful! It's hard to believe that I am almost done with school and I can honestly say this school was my best choice. I have had the unfortunate event to attend Pima initially for the same program, so I can honestly say that I have the ability to compare. I cannot emphasize enough what a breath of fresh air (haha, RT joke) it is to look forward to school and work with teachers who WANT you to excel, who offer tutoring when you need it, on a constant basis and who want you to SUCCEED! I love the continuity that each semester has to offer, we work with the same instructor for the entire semester and not only they are available, but ALL the instructors are available to answer any questions you may have and tutoring. And Dawn, the director? They couldn't have put a better person in that position. She keeps it 100% real with you, encourages you, nudges you and pushes you because she realizes the full potential in you as a student and a future RRT. She does not push you by INTIMIDATING YOU, she gives you positive and constructive criticism if needed. Thank you Dawn for sharing your experiences and knowledge with us. Did I mention that when RRT students from this campus graduate, from what I remember, we are able to transfer our credits to any 2-4 year university to extend our education for a bachelors degree and we graduate with only 20 (give or take, depending on whatever bachelors degree you are trying to get) credits left to obtain our BSRT? Carrington is the best choice I've made. If you are ever wanting to go to school to be an RRT...don't look anywhere else. Get on the wait list if you have to...this school or CSN are your best choices. read more

This school itself isn't bad, I learned quitea bit in my time there. That said, they are overly expensive for their Respiratory program, and their student finance department is absolute garbage. Because they failed to contact me in any timely manner that they were missing a piece of documentation to get my loans approved, I now owe them over $15000, I can no longer attend class because I can't afford their payment plan they want me on, and I cannot recieve my transcripts to transfer them to another school. So I now have to start from square one again at Pima. I wasted over a year here only to be screwed by inept staff. Not only would I not recommend this place, I'm actively trying to get students to transfer.Schools that are ran this inefficently do not deserve to be in business. I urge you all to please stay away from this trainwreck, I don't want to see anyone else get screwed like me. read more

Was excited to get all my things together and was sadly advised they weren't going to offer night schooling anymore. I attended this school and the commination was terrible, I felt that lab was a waste of time because we were just doing vitals the majority of the time everything else we've done one or twice which does not properly prepare you for extern. when you sign up for school they don't tell you that your extern has to be done in the mornings only so if you are attending school at night because you work in the morning you might want to make arrangements with your job early. I attended Carrington and had to drop out so when I returned I inquired on my venipuncture's and it took me about a month in a half for them to tall me that they discarded them and I have to start all over (keep in mind I only had 3 mods left and I was already halfway through my second MOD), you need 50 venipuncture's to be eligible to take your phlebotomy certification test and it defiantly wasn't possible that I would get all them completed so now I have to go to another school to receive the sticks that I've already earned at Carrington the first time around and apparently I wasn't the only one. If you do decide to attend Carrington please ask questions, lots! Know exactly what your getting yourself into. read more

I enrolled at Carrington on 10/22. I confirmed my 9:00 am appointment to do so on the afternoon of 10/19. I had to wait for an hour for the Admissions person after being informed upon my arrival that she doesn't report in until after 10:00 am. So I enrolled, reiterating to the Financing person we would be paying for my schooling without any direct involvement from 'Financial Aid. My day of orientation was 10/25. Carrington failed to enter my information into their system--preventing me from completely registering as a student--after they had THREE BUSINESS DAYS TO DO SO. Oh, and I was told I STILL had to talk to 'Financial Aid after Orientation, as there remained a problem as to how I would pay for school. we had been over this already. I work nights. Including today, 10/25, any of these problems could've been done away with before I had even gone in for Orientation, yet they never bothered to call me at home over any outstanding issues. I returned the student paraphernalia they gave me an hour later and cancelled my enrollment into the school. I had my affairs in order well before I'd even set foot for the first time into Carrington. Carrington did not. read more

I had posted a review about this college maybe a month ago but removed it because my issue had been resolved that day. Then it went back to crap. The customer service here is AWFUL! Let me start from the beginning...I had gone in sometime in September to enroll for the start date on either the 10th or 17th, I can't remember which one or if those are even right. The initial appointment took 2 hours and I was late to where I needed to be. They didn't start my appointment on time. I didn't get to meet with financial services because I had to leave. I will say Christine was awesome because she helped me out a lot with my financial aid. I missed the first enrollment date because I still didn't have a final number of how much I would be receiving for financial aid so I didn't want to start. Plus, Stacey from admissions didn't get me enrolled in time. I was passed around to THREE different people. Since Stacey wasn't in the day I went to see Christine for financial aid, I talked to this guy named Jared, he was super helpful and took care of everything. So I thought. He told me I would be receiving an email to set everything up online and I never did. I kept contacting Stacey and eventually, the truth came out that she didn't have my application and had to send me another one to fill out. Because of all this, I had to wait for the second enrollment date which was at the beginning of October I believe. I still hadn't gotten confirmation on financial aid and the term had started so I had to unenroll for that term and enroll for October 29th because I was 3 days behind in class and nobody was getting back to me. Finally last week on Thursday I believe I called Stacey and left her a voicemail saying to completely unenroll me because I have found a different school to attend, which I have and they have been so much better. The biggest thing that pissed me off with this school is that nobody communicated with me especially Stacey. I would call her phone multiple times a day sometimes and would receive no answer. I would leave her voicemails and she wouldn't respond to them until DAYS later. She would tell me not to worry about deadlines coming up when I started to get on her tail more about things and I listened to her and guess what happened, I missed some deadlines. Multiple times I had tried to call the front desk as well and they wouldn't answer. This school needs a lesson in communication. It's not that difficult to respond to people and pick up a phone. I'm very disappointed with how things turned out because I had heard great things about this school but because of their lack of communication, I had to take my business elsewhere. read more

I am in the Medical Assistant program and I felt like the beginning of my first MOD was good it was a small class and my teacher seemed to care a lot. Then towards the ending of it he began to come to class complaining about his new baby and him not getting rest. He seemed very irritable and began to give myself and other students wise and rude remarks when we asked questions. It became a constant thing. I am a mother myself and I do have a full time job on top of me coming to school to learn. Some days I am very tired, very irritated, or just worried. Besides that I still go to class and be professional towards my fellow students and my teacher. I am not the only mother or father that does work and go to school and none of them display any unprofessional behavior as well. So I feel that if we can keep ourselves together he should be able to as well. He also began to not care much for our learning he would come in and just give us a bunch of papers and tell us to look it up on google or in the book and he would sit at his computer and watch movies. Or walk around the campus and talk to other teachers and students. He does get paid off of our tuition to teach us and answer any questions we have and be professional. I am paying for a quality education as well as a professional environment. I expect exactly that. This school is high priced and very small. I see more and more students every 6 weeks. And I feel like they don't know exactly what they are getting themselves into. Other student as well as myself have mentioned his actions to other staff that handle any school related issues and the teacher is still there and only cares when he feels like it. Some students who have had him before also say the same things about his teaching. So if the school doesn't care about the teachers they have working they don't care much about your education just the money. I would advise to look into a different school from my personal experience. If it wasn't for the big loans I already had o take out for tuition I would go to another school. read more

i guess the staffs here used to run other medical school back then such as high tech institute then changed to anthem inst, at rancho and sahara rd. they fooled me into signing up for free tuition so i did, with no job and a kid to support i had to make something of time hopefully landing a better job for security, from free schooling,up to$900 in school financial contract obligation,so i said what the hell, i did sign,then later to be called in middle of class session to go to financial office,they redid the contract .up to $2500,,then i have a month to go,they redid the contarc up to$4800 they had me resign a new contract form again,that fat spanish lady who runs the show who thinks shes the head president had a real attitude,she scares all the student that they will not graduate if they dont go to the financial office and redo and sign their contract, i had to again,yeah, stupid me,i signed up to be a medical assistant,the school sucks,tutors are lazy, on their phones too much, hitting on nice fine students,one tutor got dismissed for not teaching,mostly talking with their personal favorites about their personal lives while students sits on his desk the whole 40 min,after leaving this school, cant find jobs for 6 months,school staffs referred me to places they found on craigslist ad for med jobs which been abandoned and closed for years when i went to check it out.there is no real job at craigslist and its a scam,as the students loan interest went up as i am jobless, i am now threatened and harrassed by bank and now owe $9,700.00 at this present time, parents, think twice before you send your kids to schools like these, in jesus, name the crooks,the bad people will get punish and get whats coming to them.. read more
