I was SO very excited to move in initially. As soon as I moved in, I battled with ants for several weeks not to mention the insane amount of insects. I have never experienced anything like this before. Every place I have lived in they were super wonderful about taking care of their tenants...including insects. I will say that the maintenance team are great here; however, when I moved in my sink was backing up and they fixed it...so I thought it was fixed, but then AGAIN after three months I am still dealing with the same issue. I have spent so munch money with the cleaning service...as every time the maintenance come through I have to have my home cleaned to get all the stance out from under the sink baking up into the apartment.. On top of that I have had a leakage under my sink which leaked everywhere on the kitchen which caused my floor to warp. I asked when that would be fixed and I was told by the leasing office...that Maintenance had other priorities. WOW! How would you feel if you're paying $1800 a moth? I don't believe I'm being unreasonable. I have complained again about the insects...I was told that they didn't get any complaints from other tenants...so therefore I don't matter. No resolution was offered to me...instead I was treated like a pest. I take pride in my place and take care of it like it's my own home, but when I am paying their mortgage I would expect them to take care of me and my place. Is that so much to ask? I am still dealing with flying insects...it's hovering over my desk, bed, bathroom. I even had a couple that flew into my nostril. This is where the buck stops and why I am writing out of frustration. Unfortunately I am locked in with the lease.

We had REALLY sketchy neighbors below us who we think had a sketchy occupation because their "friends" would knock on our door at 2am at least twice each week. They would BLAST music under us at all odd hours of the night and it would vibrate our apartment violently. To Sandalwood's credit they did handle my noise complaint promptly. The main reason for my 1 star review though is the fact that we went on vacation for 10 days and when we returned they TOWED OUR CARS out of the spot we PAID for and two cars were in our spots. We had to pay $1,000 to get our cars out of car prison and Sandalwood only reimbursed us HALF of the money we paid, and only gave us a rent credit for the other half. Many of our neighbors we talked to also got towed because the office staff were incredibly unorganized. Shelise (an awful employee who worked in the office) tried to offer us a new spot instead of giving our old ones back and THERE WAS SOMEONE PARKED IN THE NEW SPOT THEY WERE OFFERING ME! Basically, this complex is unorganized. It is under new management so I hope they fixed all the problems we had when we were here. LASTLY, our air conditioning and hot water went out MANY times when I lived there and it would take over 5 or 7 days sometimes for them to fix it, only for it to go out again the following day. There is a reason it's cheap to live here. But at what cost.

But Issa and Lani are more than just the leasing office staff, they know which room that you live in, and they welcome you like how your family would do when you get back home. Most importantly I felt free to address any issue or problem I might have, and they are proactive so you don't need to keep following up with them. Cleanliness: Whether the apartment is clean or not is a big thing for me too. Especially the common area and the grass area. Grass is the easy spot to tell whether the apartment staff pay enough attention to keep it clean, especially for apartments that allow dogs. Well it should not be that way, but some dog parents just don't pick up their puppies poop. They always keep the grass clean, and if there's something messy or anything smells bad, they would clean it right away. I know that Traci works really hard to keep everything clean and she does check the building everyday to make sure everything is good. I was also impressed with how quick they are to get the work order done so that I don't have to wait. Last but not the least, if you don't know there are many people got their car broken into in this area. Some apartment might have cameras, but they don't really work sometimes, since most of the time people don't really check that while looking for an apartment. Season by far has the best security and access control that I know in town. All their cameras work. You get what you pay especially for a safe and comfortable place that you can call home. However, the parking here is the worst I've ever seen at an apartment complex. I've lived in multiple places and haven't seen somewhere that doesn't invest in finding more parking. They had a field next to them that got bought by a landscaping company where they could've invested in making more parking and there is a field to the south of them. They've painted the buildings and have done many nice things to make the complex look great but the parking is a joke. Just a fair warning of what to expect when you move here. No parking but a wonderful place to live. You also don't get a covered parking spot with your apartment but have to pay for it separately which I haven't seen at any other place either.
