They got a pretty good selection of both and the prices are not to bad either. I stopped in here because we were already here at the mall shopping for the grandkid's. Being they had changed names I want to see what they had to offer. So I browsed through the tunes and found a couple of CD's I've been looking for. Then I headed to the DVD's to see if anything grabbed me, I found one and my wife found one she wanted. So I got me a little something while we were out. So if your at South Park Mall check'em out you might find that movie you've been looking for or that hard to find CD.

Since then, they have forced me to sign up with magazines which they did without my consent, charged me more and more each month, and now they are making it difficult to leave the program. because of thins, I am losing around $50 a month to them when I haven't been in months. It's so bad that I made an account on here just to write this. To make it worse, I tried canceling the subscriptions but you have to call to cancel them. What they don't tell you is that you need your FYE card while in the call to cancel but if you've lost the card then you're out of luck and have to continue paying. it seemed like there might be a workaround online but you need the card number to log in on there too. You can request an email to reset your password to a separate account which MIGHT have the card number but I wouldn't know because I asked for the reset an hour ago and still haven't gotten it. The store is fine for a trip or two but I do not recommend getting invested in it.

They even have a decent number of CDs although they are priced higher than many Goodwills. Staff seems to be all volunteer. The staffer I encountered really knew his books like nothing else and he really understood vintage vs newer and how many different categories were integrated with each other. He also understood how some other volunteers might improperly categorize things and where to optimally try to look. He could tell that I had a sense of the different array of things in the store too. I was a bit surprised when he told me that he was here only part time. He was trying to see if he could give me a discount as he could tell I a bit surprised about the CD price. Even told me if I got one more CD or DVD that it would be $1 more. However, it was near closing and I just kept the purchase I had decided on. Two of the three CDs I got turned out not to be a win for me. Lol that is how it goes. He told me he worked here part time. He may've assumed I would come back here regularly. That person can feel free to reach out via private message if he was looking to build something more outside of the store. He was staying professional- and I was starting to get tired from a long trip and didn't want to hold him up from near closing time. He noticed my unique choose your own adventure shirt (with quality choices on the back) stuck out to him as did several other people in public.

I found some treasures. Not just books but DVDs, video games, crystals, and other stuff! Almost every book is under $6. The younger girl who was working was really nice and helpful. They have comics, kids books, old and new, something from almost every genre and type. It's a pretty massive place and it was fun combing through their genres!

Vinyl Conflict (I'm assuming named after the Slayer boxset of same name) is a great store I came…read moreacross online. They had a bunch of cheap cheap $3-$10 records and I bought some. All were used (and all were in great shape upon arriving). Pretty freaking cool for $85 (includes shipping), for 13 records, that I genuinely enjoy and look forward to listening to again. I was really pleasantly surprised at how many records they had on the cheap that were in my wheelhouse. The descriptions on the website were very helpful, letting me (the buyer) know the condition of the record, if it came with an insert/poster/whatever, and if it was colored. Sometimes even more info than that. These guys and gals know how to vinyl. The guy I communicated with at Vinyl Conflict through email (Bobby) was really cool and didn't care about last-minute additions to my order. Packaging was great too upon receiving it. They're no dummies. Check out Vinyl Conflict, you might find some great music for a great price. Jesus I sound like a commercial. But do it anyway!

Helpful and friendly service, awesome and interesting finds, and just something fun to do if you're bored. In fact, I think it was boredom that turned me into a hipster to begin with. And ironically enough, I'm currently in the process of knitting a beanie, no joke. :-D

They also have some of the classics you'd expect to find in a music shop. Not a ton of inventory but it definitely has the vibe of being careful curated for a specific customer in mind. Plus the back was cool with various pinball machines. If it wasn't for the neighborhood I'd probably make this place a regular stop.

They even had a couple crates of Broadway soundtracks the day we stopped in. Though we didn't look through them, you can also get CDs, cassettes and even 8-tracks here. The store itself is super crowded - narrow aisles, things precariously stacked about in places. Get more than a few people in here and it's hard to move around. It was also quite cold inside as they left the front door open (in January) the entire time we were there. The owner is fantastic and helpful and knows where his stock is. Prices vary and are generally pretty good - less expensive than other places in town, for the most part. Sidetracks will definitely be a stop for us any time we're in town.

When I got there, they had a table of books for $1, mostly kid's books. Once inside, there are books along the wall. I also saw comic books, records and some vintage ads by decades. They have a very tiny kid's section nothing to rave about. My impression is that they had a lot of books, but not a lot of popular books. It was still worth a look. I did see some books about Art and Architecture. I am sure I am missing mentioning more, but that is what I remembered. The books were fairly priced and was glad to find 2 books. You can see my pics to see them. The bookstore seems to have been there a long time. It doesn't look like it's been updated ever. There is an old vibe here, but these are the kinds of bookstore you will find something cool and rare. The old register at the counter is also a classic.
