I went to Nissan in April 2024 to lease a new car. My salesperson was Ramin Elahi. As expected,…read morewhen trying to make a sale, it's a generally pleasant process, especially how good of a deal I got.
But after that, they really dropped the ball in every way you can drop the ball.
After the deal was signed, I asked Ramin how long it would take to get the car. He said 2 weeks. I believed him. Boy, was I naive. Two weeks had come and gone, and no card. Also, no phone call or email, saying there would be a delay. So I email him, and he says an additional 2 weeks. OK.
Two more week pass by, and he says the car is ready for pickup. As I approach the new car, I see that it's not the colour I requested. Another 2 weeks pass by before I actually get the car and the colour I requested.
In the meantime, one week after signing the deal, Ramin calls me 4 times on a Friday evening, begging me to give him a review. I explain to him that I can't leave a review yet, as I don't have a car yet. It would be in his best interest for me to NOT leave him a review.
I wasn't happy with the service at all, but I was super happy with the price. No one else could come close to that, so I sent him 2 referrals (my dad and a client of mine). He said he'd give me a commission for those referrals (although that's not the reason I referred). That commission would come in 3-4 business days.
Again, I shouldn't really believe what he says based on my previous experience, but I didn't. That was a mistake. Because after 4 days, I heard nothing. After a week, I emailed him, and he said it would be another week.
Furthermore, during our original negotiation, he verbally promised that the service department would switch my winter tires to all season and back at no cost. A few months later, when I showed up to do exactly what was promised to me, the service department said that they don't see that anywhere in their notes, or in my contract.
I know I didn't hallucinate that, because my wife was there also, as a witness.
Overall, from start to finish, a horrible experience. It's salespeople like Ramin (and my other review of Don Valley North Hyundai - Hanan Laccheb) that give car salespeople bad names.
The only reason I didn't give them a one start review is because of the price. Although when my lease ended, and I went to get another Nissan, their price was no longer competitive (or even attractive), so I switched to Hyundai.
