I traveled about an hour to see this car. When I got there, it was obviously in need of rotors, as the ones on it were "lipped". When I got the key from the sales person and cranked up the car, it had a service engine light on the dash. Continuing from there I noticed the car had a busted windshield! About a 6" crack up in front of the rear view mirror. Their website states that "every vehicle we offer has been FULLY serviced, detailed, inspected, and ready for a new home." Well, this car hasn't even been washed! Upon further inspection I notice the rear wheels are leaning in at the top, about 2". This is not by design please understand. This is an obvious alignment issue. I decide to shut the car off as it has been idling for about 20-30 minutes, the vehicle has yet to reach operating temperature, by the way, and I notice another warning light pops up...ABC Malfunction. Thats not a cheap fix at all. I ask the sales person what they did to the car before putting it on the lot, and he replied, "I don't know exactly but every vehicle we offer has been fully serviced, detailed, and inspected." Theres more to my experience but i am running out of room. So take heed. Don't waste your time, energy, gas, etc . Its pretty much in the middle of nowhere and not worth it. read more

I was going through my mid-life crisis and drove 1.5 hours and bought a Mazda RX8 in 2007 from CPL. Over my life (I counted) I have bought 11 cars from 11 different car dealers from Maine to Texas. CPL was by far the best experience! Absolutely no sales pressure AT ALL. I could take a test drive of any car I wanted, without the salesman. They just handed me the keys. Bud Watts was my salesman. I made an offer $500 below an already very reasonable asking price and Bud countered $600 below the asking price. Yes, I typed that correctly. They also have, what I think is the best website. I purchased a 2017 Nissan Maxima SR MidNight Edition last week and I am in love with my car. The customer service here is great and there was little to no sales pressure from my salesman. I highly recommend Cars Plus Lenoir to anyone that is looking for a used car at a GREAT price. I found a used 2016 Maxima at Modern Nissan of Hickory with roughly 30,000 miles for nearly the same selling price that I bought my SR Midnight edition for at CPL. And my only had 1,000 miles on it! Great people to deal with. I had a horrible experience with my local ford dealer so I drove from va to nc to buy my truck. We agreed upon a price for my new truck and my old trade over the phone. I drove 1.5 hours to come to see a car I found on line. the car was perfect and the price was very fair. I worked with a very nice salesman, Eric Holder (no, not the former Attorney General) and had a very positive experience. Their business office expeditiously took care of the paperwork and did not try to charge those ridiculous fees that car dealers add for another $500 or so. If I needed another nearly new car, I would go back to Eric in a heartbeat. I also met David, the owner, and he was also pleasant. Car buying does NOT need to be painful. I talked with Jack at CarsPlus about a 2006 Toyota Landcruiser. He was very courteous and promised to hold it until I could drive over and look the next day. Well we drove 1 1/2 hours from Charlotte to Lenoir and the vehicle was as described in great shape. They gave me a good deal and this was the first time it only took an hour and a half from start to finish. Unbelievable! I have purchased well over 70 cars in my life and this was the smoothest ever. I drove home and checked the spare because the tire pressure light was on and found that the TMP was broken. I texted Jack and told him about it and that Toyota wanted $300.00 for a new one and install. Well CarsPlus is going to take care of it even though I purchased the cars as is. I am slightly(?) excessive in my research practices regarding the purchase of a new car. I do not even drive on to any car lot without knowing what specific car I want, the price that would be fair, the differences in cost between new and used on my vehicle of choice, etc. Therefore, I get very irritated with what might be described as "typical" woman car buyer treatment at many car dealers. At Cars Plus Lenoir, my car purchase was a very smooth process from beginning to end. More specifically, I would like to give high praise to Josh (my salesperson), not only was he extremely genuine and a gentleman to boot, but also a true professional. His approach is quite relaxed and there was no pressure at any time. He responded to my emails, texts and calls. He DID NOT relentlessly contact me, rather I was the one contacting him!! On my initial contact, he responded almost immediately, and thank goodness, he did because I was just minutes away from a car purchase with another dealer. After doing my homework and shopping around, I knew the deal that I needed to make things work for me, and the price already on the car....was a fair price. I felt NO need to ask for more, when I knew the asking price was already FAIR!!!! Not only did I get the car I wanted at the price I needed, but I left the car lot with my dignity intact! Thank you, Josh! I told Josh I would wait a month or so before I wrote this review, just in case there were hidden issues in my used car purchase, etc. However, all my car buying anxiety was wasted as at Cars Plus Lenoir, I participated in the most honest, kind and quick car purchase I have experienced yet to date. I bought a 2002 Lincoln Town Car from Cars Plus in Lenoir NC a short while back and did not know and was not told that the drivers seat would not move forward or backward and the local Ford Dealer here in Morganton wanted to charge me $1,000.00 to fix the seat so that is out also the car was inspected when I bought it and after I drove it a few days and needed the windshield wipers they did not work so that cost me over $100.00 to get fixed the mechanic that fix it had to replace the wiper motor and he said the wiper motor had been bad for some time it had to be bad when Cars Plus inspected it or had it inspected, I bought the car as is and I understand that but I was not informed about the seat not working or the wipers not working and I should have been or they should have fixed major things like that before it was inspected and sold to me. read more

We had an incredible experience at Cars Plus. We live 3 hours away and found a vehicle we were very interested in. After a handful of calls and speaking with Bud, we came to an awesome price and drove down to see the car. When we arrived, the car was off site because they were putting brand new tires on it -- which we did not expect at all! They told us it was slated to have it done and they went ahead and did it. We were so thrilled. When the car came back from the shop they took it around back and washed it before pulling it around for us to see. When we were looking at the exterior/interior they were finishing up drying it by hand. Needless to say we took it on a 5 minute test drive and were absolutely sold. Don't waste time at big dealerships -- this place is worth the drive. I am happy to give my business to a place like Cars Plus. When the time comes for my fiance to get a new vehicle we will be doing business with them. I honestly don't know if I'd go anywhere else. The car we purchased beat the price of the same car at big time dealerships in our area and was in pristine condition. Great Experience!!! I have bought many cars in my life and never did so sight unseen until now. I found the car I was looking for online at Cars Plus, Lenoir, NC. at the right price. I emailed on a Saturday evening and on Monday morning I was contacted by Josh. I asked many questions and he was gracious enough to put up with me and even gave me his cell phone number. I called several times and he answered every time. After looking over their reviews I decided to take a leap of faith and buy the car. I wired over a $500 deposit even though I was hesitant. I was planning on flying down (600 miles away) to pick up the car and drive it back. After speaking to Josh a few more hundred times (lol) I decided to just have the car shipped back and took his word on condition. I had him take some extra pics which he immediately did and sent them over to me. Well, I just received the car and it's absolutely beautiful and better than I expected. Josh is the most honest car salesman I've ever dealt with and so is the dealership. I also told him to use me as a reference if any of his clients were on the fence.
