Mohammed had it diagnosed before I finished describing the symptoms - I'm not kidding. He explained the problem and how it needed to be fixed, gave me the quote and the time it would take, and he DELIVERED ON THOSE AND MORE. Beyond his expertise and skill, he is exceptionally professional also because of his honesty, integrity, and respectful communication. And I knew I could trust him because his explanation made complete sense. He walked me through it clearly enough that I understood the problem myself, rather than just being handed a number and told to accept it. I couldn't recommend him more. Complete and total Garbage as a mechanic and worse as a person. He came recommended by an acquaintance. I took my X5 for repairs, spend 1400/ for an engine light issue, which was already diagnosed as a sensor issue by Erhard BMW. He supposedly replaced the sensor. A year later, the sign is still on. Instead of taking the car to him, please shop around. There are plenty of much better BMW mechanics. I am not associated with any of them so wont mention names. Stay away this guy is terrible! Read my Update near bottom of this review! A friend at work suggested Muhammad to me for repairs that were needed on my recently purchased used BMW 750 LI. I'm very fortunate that I chose to follow up on it, as my friend said " Muhammad is the man! He's the best BMW repairman in the State." I had a lot of issues that popped up quickly after purchasing a used car from a Dealer in Clawson. My dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree within a week. I ended up taking it to Muhammad shortly afterwards. My car went from night to day in performance! Whereas it was stalling on me at lights and on turns amongst other problems, Muhammad fixed a lot of the main things to make it run well. I also received an oil change, plugs, and coils to name a few. Unfortunately for me, due to my money constraints, Muhammad let me know I'd have to come back to fix the ABS , wheel sensors and some other things. When my car started leaving me stranded for short periods on extremely hot days, he diagnosed that too! He is so good at what he does. If you're like me, it's been hard to find someone you can trust so much to work on your car- well, you can trust Muhammad! Muhammad searched and found some good used parts to fix my car for a lot less than the dealership would charge to fix. He also - free of charge- took off my headlights while repairing a blinker, and cleaned them up to like new condition! They look amazing! My car was also very clean when I picked it up, and my car is now without all the Christmas lights on the dashboard, it is running very well! I feel like I'm driving a new car now. (7/20/22) Lastly, Muhammad is very experienced and excellent at what he does. He'll take care of your needs and you and your car will be all the better because of him! The car had the same problem within a day and 3 days later was back at Cars Unlimited. This after 6 weeks of being there this time. He said he spent hours on it and it was supposedly ready in mid September for me, same problem came up within 2 days and I brought it back, where it sat for weeks until mid October when I just called and told him I was going to pick it up and take it elsewhere. It had a big dent now on the left side passenger door., this along with damage that was done to my rear bumper while at his place. Update: This guy is someone to avoid at all costs! He will take advantage of you by charging a lot of money to do repairs that aren't needed. Your car will sit at his shop for weeks and months like mine.. 5.5 months total accumulated time.. and the original problem still existed. He said it was all finished and ready for me to pick up 2 times and within 3 days the same starting problem popped up- no crank/no start, it would happen again. Then my car would sit at his shop for weeks and weeks before anything was done. He went through 4 secretaries and lost his mechanic during my time.. After taking me for $2000 initially, it then cost me $3500 more and it wasn't fixed yet,and $350 for a duplicate key. I still had the original no crank/no start problem. He said his $10000 computer wasn't pulling up any codes on my car, he'd have to rip it apart to find the problem. He then said, after having my car for another 3 weeks, that I should walk away from the car, give up on it, take it to the junk yard.. my car isn't worth much at all, he's buying cars like mine for $300!! Like he wanted to buy my car for that amount. I left his place, started it up and drove it home. It was only an intermittent starting problem, I was determined to get it fixed. I then went to a place that found the problem, their machine found a code within a day and fixed the problem within a week. I was also told that my battery was undersized and my battery bracket was missing at my new place. I had to buy a new battery and register it, my tool showed a battery was registered in September while at Cars Unlimited. I believe that Cars Unlimited took my battery out and replaced it with a smaller, ready to die battery and didn't replace the bracket. The car had been there for months. read more

I had the best experience with Mohamed. My check engine light came on two days after going to the dealership for an oil change. He was patient with me and my lack of knowledge about my 640i. Turns out after running a diagnostic test it was something simple. Mohamed explained what the issue was and cleared the light. He didn't charge me to diagnose my issue. Mohamed has always been a friendly, fair, skilled and attentive mechanic in my experience. I have been going to him for more than two years with an older BMW 328 that I recently retired. So I think you have to be ready to pay for repairs when the age and mileage go up. But I always felt he didn't try to upsell me on unneeded repairs and offered to find me used parts to save money (and disclosed as much). I think the reality is that BMW repairs and parts are more expensive than most, so I appreciate all of Mohamed's time and effort to do the job right for a fair price, especially when compared to a dealership. read more

After Hurricane Irma forced me to evacuate, I ended up in the Detroit area. Before heading back home I wanted to have a quick oil change. I went to several places. Sears, etc NOBODY had the oil from my car. I walked right in, although he advised me he only works on appt only, he took my car right away. read more

Very Honest Service Muhammad is a good man

As a multiple-time patron of this shop I'm surprised by the unhappy reviews. Muhammad is a talkative man with a deep knowledge of BMWs and their quirks. If the fix is something minor and mechanical he can fix you up fairly quickly. If the fix is something electronic and difficult to diagnose, it may take time. Muhammad even came to my apartment (in West Dearborn, nearby) and gave me a jump when my battery went flat. I do the majority of the wrenching on my 330i myself, and have always found the work performed to be at or above my standards and/or ability and the prices to be significantly more reasonable than most BMW specialists or dealers. read more

Called on a Friday evening to have my BMW 535xi checked out, was told to drop off on Monday. After driving by the shop and seeing so many BMWs in the lot I called Monday morning to make sure if It was dropped off they would be able to look at it that day, I was assured it would be and told once again to bring it. Had the car towed to them and they refused to accept and I was forced to have it towed back home. I called to figure everything out and got the run around. The girl that answered the phone gave me several different stories and when I called her out on them I was promptly told the manager said not to ever bring my car there. Apparently when you don't believe their lies they don't want to deal with you. Sucks I'm out towing fees but I hate to think what would have happened if they actually worked on my car. Here is a list of reasons I was told why they wouldn't take it. 1. They claim they were told it's and X5 and it's a 535xi 2. They were told it didn't start but they claim the tow truck driver told them it did start 3. They didn't have room for it This was all in one conversation. I don't believe any of it but I asked why any miscommunication of the model mattered that's when I was told excuse #2, I told her that didn't make sense either, if the car started I would have drove it there and the tow truck driver knew it didn't start, he's the one that put it on the truck, then I was told excuse #3. I then asked to speak to a manager, same girl came back on the phone and informed me that the manager wasn't available but the manager said never to bring the car there. read more

OMG I can't believe I just clicked one star he doesn't deserve none that's how bad and awful my experience there was I found his website and when I went there with my car the guy said yes yes yeah so OK no problem by the time I picked up my car my check engine light and issues we're still going on with my vehicle I asked him if he can come with me on a Test Drive so I could show him I paid $1000 reminder just for a new harness to my battery and all I wanted to do is ask him what's going on with my car the guy suddenly had a meltdown started to curse at me and thought I wanted to get something for free WTF It was totally weird never had anything like that happened to me in my life he has an issue with my ethnicity he is very prejudice rude he should not be dealing with customers I will see him in court. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would... but Yelp makes you at least give one and they don't deserve it at all. This place came highly recommended from all the reviewers here, however I have to question the authenticity of these reviews after the horrendous experience I just had here. This man named "Mohammed" (the owner) gave us so much lip service as to how he is an "honest" man and that he takes care of his clients. I had my X3 towed to his shop and I let Mohammed know that my Father was passing away 3 hours from this location (this was on a Friday, October 3rd)... that I needed a bit of urgency with my vehicle as this is the only one I have. He ASSURED me that he would get right on it and to not worry. This was early in the morning on that day. He sent us off saying to go grab lunch and relax and that he would CALL us back. Well...HOURS passed and NO call from him. So we decided to stop by on our way home to check on any progress. He talked to us and said that the Module (whatever that is) of the car not working, the EWS??? NOT working. He kept showing us what his little "diagnosis machine" was saying. He told us AGAIN that he will continue to work on my car since I needed to be on the road soon. We left trusting that he would tell us SOMETHING so we could pay for whatever needed to be ordered and get it done. This NEVER happened. We came back later that day before closing to retrieve items from my car since. By then it was obvious it wasn't going to get fixed. I got my things and he told us he needed more time to "diagnose", I had to rent a car for the weekend but ONCE AGAIN he reassured me that before the day was over, he would call us to tell us what's next. That call once again NEVER came. The weekend came and went this man never called me. Fast forward to Monday, I decided to call Mohammed at 11:43 a.m. to check the status of my vehicle and Mohammed got on the phone where he VERY rudely started going off about he needed time and that I just needed to wait and to let him look into the issue of the car further. I explained that I have been waiting for call backs for days with none. He once again told me he would call me back 5 hours later my husband called him to ask what was going on, and one of his workers told us that Mohammed was gone and not going to be back for a couple of days.Once my husband showed his displeasure. We get a call back from Cars Unlimited (the same employee who my husband just spoke to) telling us that he called Mohammed and he wanted us to come pick up the car from his shop because he decided that he was NOT going to repair it. This was at 5:00 p.m. in the day, leaving no choice to get another tow, this time to Farmington Hills BMW, where I just should've taken it in the first place but instead of doing this I trusted all these reviews. Which it makes me question these. I highly doubt people are okay with not getting any communication from who you should be able to trust fixing your mean of transportation. I will be notifying EVERYONE I come in contact about the "establishment" (and I'm using this term very loosely)... and FYI to everyone out there doing business with him. He was so unprofessional as to show me the copy of a customer of his driver's license, because he bought a car from this "desperate man" who's father had just died for 10k dollars when the vehicle was only a couple of years old and it was actually worth 30k dollars plus! So this goes to show the lack of integrity this man has that He would take advantage of someone in that grieving state! This is Deplorable behavior. read more

Mo is one of the best BMW technicians in the state, if not the country. I know most of the independent BMW shops in southeast Michigan as well as the guys at Erhard, and I cant tell you that they regularly reach out to Mo for advice when they can't figure things out. If you were getting brain surgery, which Dr. would you want to do it? The same rule applies here, and pricing is more than fair. Mo not only owns and runs the business, but his 2 hands do nearly all the work. So when I read about customers who gripe because things didn't go as planned, all I can say is some customers don't deserve the expertise Mo provides. You can't please everyone, and some people shouldn't own a BMW, period. Going to this repair shop is waste of money and time. I took my car there to replace battery which he did after the battery replacement I was loosing trip counter and clock. I called him to let know about the issue. He replied to me saying that my car has bad IBS which I not did buy. Took car to another shop he re-program the battery and the issue was resolved with out changing IBS (Intelligent Battery System sensor). I feel lucky that I did not ask him to do engine repair etc. but I learned my lesson and will not recommend anyone to go there for the car repair. read more

First off I seen this guy have many bmw so I called him he told me he use to work at erhart bmw for 14 years as a tech. So I took my 2003 Beemer 745 li to him , it had a bunch of lights on and would not change gears. When I got there he told me (without looking at the car) that I should buy another car I could even get a better color :( I'm thinking I love my color. Then he told me it would be 3 to 4000 to repair my car all this without looking under the hood to even know what's wrong. I'm thinking either the guy is great at what he does or he's full of shit. Well turns out it was my 2nd choice was right. I had it towed to another repair shop that charged the battery turns out that was what was wrong. I guess that's a easy 3000 fix. If I were you I would never take my Beemer to this guy oh forgot to mention when tow truck driver came to get the car he wouldn't lift a finger to tell him how to start it or anything. He gets -20 stars from me he's a crook please beware of this fake repair shop by the way his helper is not like him at all but you'll still have to deal with him. Thanks read more
