DONT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! Owner had nasty attitude since day 1 should've never left my car there. Anyways my car was in their parking lot for 4 days after being worked on (closed on weekends Sat & Sun) so couldn't pick up until Monday. When I came to get my car my bumper & headlights were stolen, wires cut. Whole front end gone!!! Owner is an old bitter man & said that my car wasn't his responsibility!!!! Their parking lot which isn't gated or their cameras "don't cover the whole parking lot" to watch over ALL their customer cars which sounds like an inside job cause that's pretty convenient right? SEE YALL IN COURT, they probably won't be in for business long! I'm a business owner myself & would never treat someone like this when their belongings are in my possession!!! read more

Honest, Fair, Family owned auto repair shop.... An American Family Owned Auto Repair Shop! I always try to support local businesses, especially the "Mom & Pop" shops that have been around for a long time! The tire establishment is far from being fancy. So what. I don't need free Latte coffees, no fancy tire displays to look at, or a cushy waiting room to sit in, if I'm waiting for my repairs to get done. I've been coming here for many, many years when I need something done to my vehicles, as I usually do my own repairs. But if I can't for some reason (usually time restraints), I'll bring my vehicles to Akron Tire, without hesitation. Why? The people here are honest. And they do what is needed done correctly, and don't "Up Sell" on things you don't need done. Yes, Sam (owner?), can seem maybe "abrasive & rough" to some people, but the man has a good heart, and wants your vehicle to be fixed right. He's going to tell you like it is...and not "Sugar Coat" anything! The young lady behind the counter (Val, I think?), will smooth things over if needed, and honestly keeps that place running like a Top! They are a "First Come, First Served Basis" repair shop...so get in there early if you need work done! Every time I drive by there they are constantly busy, and the parking lot is full. This guy is a true treasure. I have been going to him for years. He has been in the business long enough to have learned what the potential issues are for nearly every car model. The main thing that I like about him though, is that he is 100% honest. He will always tell the truth, even when it might mean that you won't fix the car. If he sees that you have other mechanical issues that are coming soon, he'll let you know before you put any money into fixing it. If you only drive used cars like I do, an honest mechanic such as Sammy will save you 50% on your transportation cost. read more

Come here if you want to support an honest, hardworking, local business. I would like to stress honest. I was quoted more double what Akron ultimately charged me by two different companies after an unfortunate tiff with a Michigan pot hole. Not only did they save me HUNDREDS by calling around and getting me the best price they could for parts, but they had my car repaired the day before they said. They guy (owner or manager?) actually stayed late to work on it himself to get me back on the road. Amazing service. read more

Sam Zano is the rudest and most dishonest mechanic that I have ever encountered. I called to complain that he did a bad job on our son's car and that they cheated us out of 335.50 for a repair that was only just patch up and not replaced. He got rude and would not give me the owner's name. They are the WORST car repair place around. read more

Very friendly, honest, and helpful service. Went in there for brake service but was told it was a wheel bearing and brakes were fine. He even tried talking me out of getting new brakes after i requested they still be done as well. Honesty goes a long way, and i will definitely be taking my cars there for any future service needs! read more

I am 48 yrs Old and Have been going to Akron since I was 16 with my first car. Unlike the Big Box tire shops they will not sell you something you do not need. This is a Family owned business with the same faces every time I go there. Recently had tires and wheels put on my Truck and The supplier sent the wrong lug nuts. Knowing I had to work the next day Sam the manager got to the shop at 7:00 A.M. got the work done. ( mount , balance, installing wheel sensors and a wheel allignment ). I had my truck by 9:30. Yes it stayed over night but it was not there fault. The Service at Akron Has Always been Top Notch. they are there from 8-6 Mon - Fri . If you are looking for tires Wheels or service on your car or truck I Highly recommend. Only down fall they are not open on Saturday's But we all need 2 days off in a week. 2 Thumbs up. You will get old school service Not A sales staff that want's to sell you what you don't need. They Back up there work . read more
