    Wrong address on yelp
    Philipp H.

Yelp has the wrong address in navigation. It leads to carson st in bixby knolls long beach. When I arrived there and landed at a big house I double checked. Wrong navigation address on yelp. So I had to manually type the address in, which then lead me to the right spot. Please fix those mistakes. I've had a few experiences like this on yelp. Waste of gas and time. Also some businesse sometimes just disappear on certain days. Other than that, carson center is good.

We recently got married here, I and honestly do not have 1 bad thing to say. Everything from the planning to the night of was perfect. The staff was friendly and super helpful. The venue was gorgeous. We had our ceremony outside then came inside for the reception. You have access to the entire facility for photos. (Photo credit Mark DeJohn of DeJohn photography, except the one of the ceremony). FOOD. FOOD. FOOD. The food was delicious. I have multiple messages from people stating it was the best wedding food they've ever had! I'll show you screenshots! And what's even better is it was decently priced. I could go on and on, thank you to everyone from Choura (the catering), to the event planning staff, the servers, the bar tender. Seriously, everything was perfect. I'm so happy we chose this venue for out big day.

We were never rushed, and even completed the cute list of things to find around the room. It is not cheap, but all the high teas I looked at were about the same price or more. The sandwiches were good and we had all the pastries listed and plenty of fruit. We enjoyed it so much we decided to book it for my daughter's birthday! I got a call from Elena and she was so awesome and excited to have us for the birthday. We are looking forward to the wonderful celebration!

Dream Come True definitely added their personal touch to the decor. When you walk in there is so much to look at and take in. It's magical! The hostess was very friendly and personable. She was very helpful with explaining the menu and helped me with my tea selection. The sandwich choices are selected for you which was different than any other place I've been to. I was able to advise on what I didn't like and was asked if we had any food allergies. That's always a plus! The sandwiches were good, but slightly bland. I think the egg salad sandwich could have used a little more flavor. The scone was not like a traditional scone, the consistency was more like a muffin, but still very tasty. Overall it was a nice experience, I would definitely visit again. Pricing was pretty standard for most tea houses, street parking available.

We ended up having my daughter's birthday here. Unfortunately, the ladies that were in charge of…read moreher birthday didn't have as much energy as I had seen in other birthday parties. (I put in the request via email about people with a good amount of energy, since I noticed a different in two parties I had been to, but none of the requests that I had placed via email mattered. I asked for high energy and mentioned that my daughter loves music, and they had lower energy and had to ask them to turn up the music. I mentioned that we didn't need a cake since she was getting one later, and they brought a cake.) At some point during the birthday party, I had to actually ask one of the ladies there to turn up the music because we could hardly hear it. That was really disappointing since my daughter really loves music (which I had mentioned in my email to them earlier that week). They didn't do any singing or karaoke since we hardly even heard the music. Super disappointing. It's cute in the sense that the kiddos can dress up and get their makeup and hair done and they did a great job at that part. I also liked that they took photos and then airdropped them to your phone after. The way it's set up, the birthday kiddo rings a bell to ask for more food or whatnot for her friends. The whole set up honestly doesn't seem to foster the values I want in my kiddo, but for a one time thing, I suppose it can make the birthday kiddo special. I feel like they could do something more fun like ringing the bell each time someone said birthday or something to that effect. Given my experiences here as the host of a birthday, it's cute but wouldn't do a birthday or event here again just given the overall service. Also, you'll end up tipping the people helping out, and that will be extra (I think we paid almost an extra 100). From a parent perspective, it's a little awkward. You are told to put "drop offs encouraged" but a lot of PV moms end up hanging out or not knowing if they should stay or go. I've paid similar amounts to other types of birthdays and have definitely felt like the value was worth it. This place, not entirely sure, but understand it's an institution and place of tradition in the area. You have to bring your own food, but they don't serve cake. Make sure you bring socks.

Limited Happy Hour menu- (not a slider or a fry on the menu!). I had the wings. I asked that they be fried crispy- not! I had to pop them in air fryer at home. My watermelon drink was tasty, enough alcohol and well priced at $7. The pineapple cake and roasted oysters were really good too! Our server was a very nice young lady but needed help. We had to wait so long for straws and 2nd rounds- missing the 6 pm HH end while we waited. Eventually walked to the bar get our own or asking the manager for assistance. Overall still a great time. I would go again especially with a few extras added to HH menu.

It's easy to forget how beautiful it is dining on the water looking at downtown Long Beach from a distance, and the Reef does not disappoint. We had a waterside table on a balmy night for LA Restaurant Week and we were delighted by their price fixe menu for that week. Us older folk prefer fewer choices and still delicious options. They had four choices for starters, 5 entree and two dessert options to choose from. I chose shrimp rolls for my appetizer, top sirloin for my entrée and pineapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream for my dessert, Pat had the pineapple fried rice, and the Keylime pie we shared the brussels sprouts along with the shrimp roll and chips. We were surprised first by the shrimp rolls, smaller version of lobster rolls, but these were served on those buttery Hawaiian bread rolls. A huge heap mound of chips accompanied them and between the brussels sprouts and this tasty starter, we both had plenty to share. My Top Sirloin was top rate, cooked medium, rare to perfection, served with a side of cilantro rice and broccolini. Boomer loved the broccolini (did we mention dog friendly?) Pat's entrée was the surprise, the pineapple shrimp rice served in half a pineapple! (After tasting it, It was an instant choice for my next visit!) Huge juicy shrimp and fried rice with pineapple throughout, seasoned perfectly. It was so delicious! We are almost too full for dessert. (Who am I kidding? I am never too full for dessert) The pineapple upside down cake was an individual cake about 4 inches in diameter and a scoop of generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was easily shareable. Pat did not share her Keylime pie, Although it was a sizable portion, and I refuse to beg. We were impressed by the incredible service, they even brought Boomer out a bowl of water, though he preferred the broccolini. If you haven't been in a while, you deserve a visit. It's a ling time Long Beach legend now reopened and I hope you find it happily so.
