These people are scammers. They suggested I get an implant and it took like 8 mos. To complete the procedure. After about 6 mos. The crown on the implant came out...I tried to get them to put it in but they refused cuz they said my insurance no longer covered it...when I called the insurance they said they were still listed the coverage. After paying $4000 for this implant, they could've at least done a courtesy repair...but they absolutely refused...my advice to you don't go to them since they don't honor their work! read more

I take my parents to Carson Dental and the entire staff there have been very gracious and informative throughout the entire process. Alexis and Haydee at the front answer all my questions regarding insurance, co-pays, and treatment process and timeline. They follow up with texts and phone calls to make sure I stay informed which I greatly appreciate and value because like many of us, our time is valuable and I like to keep communication streamlined. When I show up to the appointments, we get seen promptly and the doctos are also very thorough and listen to my concerns and take what I tell them seriously and into consideration. I find that sometimes some doctors can be dismissive. Dr. Zhou and Dr. Ayoub worked on each of my parents and they took their time to make sure they felt comfortable and well taken care of. I called this dentist in tears in pain and the front desk lady was amazing! I have been needing a new dentist and it showed by the time I landed here. She did everything for me super quick and got me out to my referral for an extraction same day! SAME DAY! I didn't have to suffer not one more day. The place she referred Me to was awesome as well. Went in for an appt few weeks ago. Want to make it clear that front desk ladies are very professional and kind. Also male dental asst is very patient and helpful. No problem with them whatsoever. On the other hand, I was seen by a Dr Awade. Very rude and obnoxious behavior throughout my appointment. Made me feel uncomfortable by shaking his head and getting angry at me when all I did was keep my mouth open and remain compliant. Kept making remarks about how his work is so "beautiful and perfect" in regards to my treatment, when in fact he needs a reality check and work on his interpersonal manners. I hope this dentist isn't doing this to his other patients but this is such unprofessional behavior for a licensed individual. If you do decide to visit this office, please ask to be seen by a different dentist. read more

Really bad experience They jacked up my teeth couldnt eat for almost a year was giving them time to heal but never did ended up paying out of pocket to get my teeth fixed, and i am now traumatized to go to the dentist. As with my daughter they stated she had a cavity they did nothing about it and told me to keep an eye on it (ok). Couple monthes later She got checked at another children's dentist and they stated she needed a root canal because it was a bad cavity. Never going here again found an even better dentist for my daughter and myself. read more

Never have I felt comfortable going to a dental office, until I came here! I have such high anxiety coming to any doctors office but this place gave me relief. All of the staff are amazing! The girls in the front were so nice and helpful starting with booking my appointment all the way to explaining my treatment plan and going over my insurance with me. The assistant was super nice and walked me through getting my X-rays taken. The doctor was very thorough in his exam and not aggressive, not like I've had in the past. I believe this place is just there to make money and not tell you the honest professional opinion about your teeth. They look at you as object to make money not what is best for patients. On top of that horrible, rude, unprofessional attitude of the lady who is in front is another issue. she is very unprofessional, talk to patient rudely and doesn't' allow patient to talk with anyone above her position. The dentist took x ray and base on Xray said I need crown. then they made me appointment. When I went there , the dentist gave me anesthesia and then all of the sudden he said I need implant. when i had second opinion with another dentist, they said they can save my tooth and i don't need implant. Oh my God! My tooth hurt. It took me 3 days to get an appointment. Is there no emergency service? Once it was diagnosed that there was a crack in my tooth, it was determined that I needed a crown. Thankfully, they could take the impressions and put the crown on in the same visit. However, that might have been where the problem began. Dr. Weylan could not get my mouth numb. I never had this problem before. Maybe the dentist has had to shoot novacaine a few times, but this was a LITERAL 10 times! I began to shake! Freaked me out! Was told others have this reaction to epinephrine. Huh? With docs always having you sign your rights away with risks, I texted my bestie, feeling I was gonna need support in case I ended up in the emergency room. He proceeded to drill. I proceeded to feel the pain. With all those shots, the shakes, and the pain, I opted not to complete the procedure, with a partial refund $450 to take the impression (after having to deeply inquire about the procedure and options, because everyone around there acted like I should already know). While I felt everyone acted professionally, except for the non-explanation, and having me to sign consent after beginning the procedure, something was definitely odd about this common procedure. read more

When I took him to his appointment they had all his information ready to go. We only had to wait 10 minutes before being seen. My wife went in for her second part of deep clean and fill ins for her 1 cavity. The person administering the Lidocaine (Anesthesia) seemed clueless and confused as to why her eye was twitching non-stop and her vision was getting cloudy and shutting. Not once did he seemed confident and knowledgeable as to why these things are happening. He proceeded to google to try to find explanations and solutions. Does this sound like an expert to you? I don't think so, my wife called me because she was very concerned and scared. I called the office right away and the front desk lady said she will go and check to see what's going on. She went in to check on her and asked the "unfit person administering the anastesia" what was going on, he replied she's just having a reaction. The front lady replied with "HAAA" and walked away. As if this is a laughing matter. Your patient is trusting you with her health and in the mist of her being scared and in tears, you Laugh at her? Do yourself a favor and STEER CLEAR from this location. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND A JOKE. TAKE YOUR HEALTH AND YOU LOVED ONES ELSEWHERE. I visited Carson Dental & Cosmetic Care in June of 2016. I went in for a cleaning and specified that I wanted a BASIC cleaning which my insurance covers as free twice a year. The cleaning lasted 15-20 minutes and a few weeks later I received a statement from my insurance company which stated they had paid more than $500 dollars from my deductible to cover a DEEP cleaning. This is insurance fraud. This also caused me to have to pay out of pocket for other services. I have been calling this office every couple of weeks for months but the office manager has yet to find resolution. She continues to say the person who did this to me has been fired but that corporate is not getting back to her with a resolution. She refuses to give me a phone number for escalation. I am trying to avoid litigation but this place is leaving me no choice. read more

If there were a 0, that's what I would rate them. I went here last year with a terrible tooth ache that kept me up at night. I was told a root canal was needed, at first I asked them to just extract the tooth since, there would be no point in a root canal if in ten years I would need a new crown, I might as well get an implant that would last me 25-30 years. The dentist and assistants looked at me like I was crazy. In the end, I was convinced that a root canal was the way to go, so I asked them to proceed. At that point I didn't care, I just wanted the pain to go away. As we got started with the procedure, the equipment where I was seated was malfunctioning. So I was asked to relocate to a different seat, (ok, no problem). As the dentist was performing the root canal he looked confused as if he didn't know what he was doing. He drilled my tooth open, and guazed it, called it a day and sent me on my way. Didn't even prescribe any pain meds. They gave me an appointment for my "crown fitting" a week away. During the week, the pain on my tooth worsened I couldn't sleep, eat, talk, it was absolutely terrible. I went to the nearest dental office as an emergency in South Pasadena (South Pasadena Dental). There I was told the tooth had contracted an infection BECAUSE the root canal was not completed. They immediately performed an appropriate root canal, fitted me for a crown and placed a temporary crown. Prescribed me antibiotics and pain meds. SPD took really good care of me. BUT CARSON DENTAL did not, sure they have discounted prices compared to other dentist, but I would rather have my dental procedures done appropriately and pay the extra few hundred. I would definitely steer clear from this place. read more

Called my insurance to refer me to someone else, someone qualified yo do dental work, not lIke Western Dental. Long story short, Carson Dental got me in right away , they were great.
