It will probably take 7 to 10 visits to really experience this place, providing a solid honest review. What I mean about experiencing, critiquing the work performed and the billing invoices sent for process of payment. "My review remains neutral at this time." For my two recent visits, this place felt like a manufacturing assembly line. So many patients in the waiting room. Like a constant traffic jam, waiting to be called on, Nexxxt!. It feels so congested. Not the traditional feeling I am use to when visiting a dental practice. " Felt that DMV feeling " I called for an appointment to get my teeth cleaned as a new patient, unfortunately on my first visit I wasn't treated for a cleaning but given a consultation along with Xrays. After consultation, they threw a large invoice bill on me. Everything felt forced. Stating I need this , that , you should do this. I questioned the fact, is the work being requested on the dental invoice really necessary? Felt aggressive and forced. My first impression of this dental office is for them to Hit the insurance as hard as possible, to collect and benefit from. The invoice felt off to me. So I requested a Pre authorization invoice before I commit to the plan they are presenting. I also have double insurance through my spouse. I still have to pay for a deductible. Hmmmm? Seems odd. Yes, this place is high-tech. Has the most up to date equipment to utilize which is a plus, giving me the confidence that the work being performed on my teeth is in good hands, in terms of being relaxed in calm format. I Can't take that away from this dental establishment. Technology Kudos for that. My 2nd visit, I was able to get a cleaning. Patty did a fantastic job as my assigned Hygienist. Great work! Big props to her! They even give you a goodie bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste after your teeth cleaning procedure has been completed. Overall, I am going to give this place a chance. If I see any indication of hidden or extra charges that was not agreed upon. I will cease to continue my visit. I do not tolerate dishonesty. Overall, everyone is friendly and professional. Going to continue my 3rd visit. Plenty of parking in the back. All is pending on the time you arrive.

The front desk staff are great. Going to the dentist can be anxiety inducing. I had a lot of dental work done by the time I turned 18, and had a lot of bad experiences as a kid. Everyone here being so kind really helps. Donta is THE BEST. He cleans my teeth gently and carefully. Most importantly, he's a delight to talk to, and always tells me I'm doing a good job. Since I was 11 years old I've been uncomfortable with my smile. I always thought it was something that I had to accept as a teenager,young adult. Until that is I met Dr. Elizabeth Castaneda. I hadn't seen a dentist in over 6 years due to my lack of love for my smile. But then with the constant PUSHING from my sister and my parents I decided to go. I had a couple of cavities to get out of the way but luckily it was minor and everything else was good to go. On my last visit to get my final cavity squared away she asked me how I felt about the tetracycline stains on my front tooth. I told her I was uncomfortable with it but I was too afraid to do anything cosmetically without retaining a conservative look. So Dr. Castaneda pulled out her magic dentist wand and lightly bonded my front tooth and gently filed the bottom of my upper teeth so that they were "Even Steven." The whole process took only 25 minutes and she was done I was simply amazed at how remarkable yet conservative the improvement was. I told her thank you and stated that dentists have a bad rap. You think all they do it drill drill drill which they do, but they're also artists that have the compassion and the skills to change people lives and make them feel better about their smile. So thank you Dr. Castaneda. It took almost 16 years of waiting and not smiling as wide in photos, yet only 25 minutes to correct it. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Heather Anne =)

During my first visit, they used advanced technology to examine my teeth, which made the experience much more comfortable compared to past dental visits. Because I needed more extensive care due to my lack of flossing, I had to schedule a separate appointment for a deep cleaning. That experience also went really well. The dentist was warm, reassuring, talked me through the process, and truly got down and dirty with my plaque haha. Overall, I felt cared for and comfortable throughout the process. I'm really disappointed with how Bixby Modern Dentistry handled the cancellation of my appointment…read more At 3:02 p.m. today, I received a voicemail letting me know that my appointment for tomorrow, September 2nd at 2:00 p.m. was being canceled because the dentist who was scheduled to see me was no longer with the practice. When I called the office, I asked why I was being notified less than 24 hours before my appointment when I had already taken the day off work and arranged childcare. I was told that the dentist had informed the office on Friday, August 28th, and that they had been contacting patients since Monday. I completely understand that unexpected things happen and that a dentist leaving the practice may not have been something they could control. What I found frustrating was the way it was handled. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience this caused. I was simply told that this was what happened and that they could reschedule me. Rescheduling wasn't really an option for me. I had already rearranged my work schedule and childcare, which is not easy to do. Thankfully, I was able to find another dentist with an appointment available tomorrow morning, so my day off and childcare arrangements won't go to waste. Ultimately, I decided to take my business elsewhere. The cancellation itself was disappointing, but the lack of communication and empathy was what really bothered me. I hope the office can put a better system in place for situations like this. Things happen, but patients deserve timely communication and, at the very least, some acknowledgment of the inconvenience when changes are made at the last minute.

The first time I review this company, I was very pleased. I made a follow up appointment for cleaning and on three occasions I attempted to come to have my teeth cleaned. My hygienist who I liked very much was unavailable. They scheduled me for another hygienist. When I came in, they said she or he had gone for the day and the doctor was gonna do my cleaning. I don't know if any of you have ever had the actual doctor do your cleaning, but they don't have the techniques that the hygienist have and I have felt pain and my gums bled and the cleaning was not efficient. So when they told me the doctor was gonna do my cleaning. I said no way I need to reschedule. Once again they put me on the calendar. I have no idea if it's with my hygienist or with some other person and they say their office opens at 8 o'clock. I have been calling nonstop since 8 o'clock leaving messages and still have not had any response from them. The writing is on the wall with all the available providers within my dental insurance. I am not going to tolerate another ineffective scheduling of my time.

The office is small but very clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Parking is street-only, so it might not be the easiest right in front--but there was plenty available just across the street. We didn't mind the short walk at all--it was actually kind of nice. My mom was checked in quickly, and they diagnosed her dental issues right away. Everything went smoothly, and so far, I've had no problems with the office or the staff.
