During my first visit, they used advanced technology to examine my teeth, which made the experience much more comfortable compared to past dental visits. Because I needed more extensive care due to my lack of flossing, I had to schedule a separate appointment for a deep cleaning. That experience also went really well. The dentist was warm, reassuring, talked me through the process, and truly got down and dirty with my plaque haha. Overall, I felt cared for and comfortable throughout the process. I have some serious issues dentally and sadly life has often got in the way of my being able to stick to a schedule. Each time I return they welcome me with open arms, understanding, and support. It is incredibly disappointing to have to leave a negative review for an office I have trusted for a long time. I recently discovered that I was overcharged by more than $950, and trying to get a refund has been an absolute nightmare. Despite making multiple phone calls, sending numerous emails, and specifically requesting a call from the owner, I have received no resolution. The manager, Ray, has given me nothing but the runaround. He claims to lack the information or resources to check the status of my refund, and he has repeatedly broken his promises to follow up with me by phone or email. I did not have a great experience with this dentist office. I had scheduled an appointment and later on, on the day, I was supposed to go. I was notified that there was no dentist and that their call center didn't have the right schedule. So I had to reschedule and when the day I went for my appointment x-rays were done, but nothing else was done and I was in pain in regards to a cavity to my teeth. While eating almonds, I recently cracked and damaged a molar and it was sensitive while eating or drinking. Dr. LaPham recommended the CEREC Classic to repair my chipped wisdom tooth. Dr. LaPham did such an excellent, amazing, effective, and thorough professional dental work, that I was literally joyful leaving the dental office. The office is always inviting & there are not a lot of people waiting. I can always enjoy my privacy and do paperwork as I wait for my appointment which is never really long at all. They take your time and your understanding of what is going to take place as if it were their own family. I'm truly amazed at how thorough they are with the paperwork and communicating with me. Has never been an issue. I am totally informed. Of course, pain is always a concern and they seem to really plan in advance to minimize the pain and stress. I recently had a general cleaning/check up here, I've been a patient since 2018. Overall the care in the back was great. The techs and Dr. Duong were very easy to work with and knowledgable. The cleaning was easy and light, I felt like my teeth were thoroughly cleaned. I'm shaving off one star here because I arrived on-time for my appointment but wasn't seen until 40 minutes later. The receptionists didn't take notice that I had been waiting about 35 minutes which is when they rushed to the back and then notified me that they were going to come get me. While waiting for those 40 minutes it seemed like one of the receptionists just wanted to gossip while the other was trying to make phone call follow ups to patients. I personally couldn't care if they did that, but at the very least it would have been nice for them to pay attention to the waiting room and the lone patient waiting (me). I do look forward to returning, Dr. Duong is a great dentist, but I wish their front desk experience was a lot more welcoming and attentive. read more

Dr. Alison Phan is absolutely AMAZING! Everyone hates to come to the dentist, but she has made me feel so comfortable every visit. Not only did she fix all of my previous work (that was done poorly), but she is extremely patient & always asks if I'm okay. I trust her. Tonya, the hygienist, is also my FAVORITE! I absolutely love her. She doesn't guilt trip me at all, and working with her, my gums have gotten so much better. Absolutely love laughing with her. She makes me feel like I've known her for years. Have been a client at Bixby Knolls Modern Dentistry (BKMD). Highly recommend! Dr. Frank Duong and the team at BKMD. The team that signs you in is friendly and makes the check in process quick, and seamless. Verifies insurance, address, and if any information has changed. Was asked back five minutes before my appointment time where we started to take the x-rays. The process of taking x-rays was quick and efficient as both areas for x-rays were used to get us in and out so we could begin the cleaning and assessment by the doctor. Tooth cleaning and fast. I opt not to have them use the mint/cherry polish as I just can't do the taste. Dr. Duong is a rock star. Engaging, friendly, and takes his time to walk through my dental care plan. Yeah, no cavities - don't forget to floss! Mentioned that I was showing signs of grinding my teeth, so we put a plan in place to address. Check out was fast as well and next appointment set. I have been coming to this establishment for over 5 years. Initially I thought it was sufficient however I have had terrible service here too many times to ignore. My Dentists was changed without my knowledge. An appointment is made and you think it's for one thing and it's for another. Unfortunately Dr Briana Nguyen, has the worst bedside manner. Who walks into the room without introducing yourself. She is unapologetically heavy handed. I shouldn't have to squirm and say ouch several times when getting my gums checked. I've had to too many appointments where I'm just leaving there unhappy. Not going to give them anymore money for poor quality care and customer service. I know it's hard these days but time for me to switch now that it's about to open enrollment. If these place was run by the hygienist, I'd stay. Quality these days is hard to come by. I wanted to wait till my 2nd appointment before leaving a review. This is by far the best dental practice I've been to in a long time. The office staff were really nice and efficient. The doctors and nurses were so on point with everything and letting me know what was going on. I went in for a root canal and it was the fastest and cleanest root canal I've gotten by far. I came to this dentistry as a new patient & had the worst experience. The entire time I stood there waiting, I just hear the two front girls gossiping in the back corner. They were complaining about training a new employee & that the person just wasn't getting it & she's over it & complained about working conditions. Mind you there were other patients in the lobby while they were gossiping & complaining & we can all hear them. I said "excuse me" to only be told "I'll be right with you" by the blond girl then she went back to gossiping & complaining while I stood there waiting, hearing their entire conversation. I waited a little longer then said "excuse me!" for the second time then I was actually serviced. At this point, I left the building. Have been going to this office for the past year, initial visit and consultation went great. Back office staff were friendly and helpful. was advised to make an appointment for deep cleaning, and right away they told me I'll be charge around $700 + for it. Doesn't seem right, since it's just the start of the new yr coverage for my dental insurance. I wanted to clarify with my insurance so I called to confirm, and turns out deep cleaning is covered 100%. I called back the office to let them know what my insurance said, and quickly they dropped it down to just $58 which is only my copay for the yr! Once that is situated, I am just waiting for my appt to come up, then I get a call from the office saying they canceled my deep cleaning appoint THE DAY BEFORE, because the diagnosis have expired because it's been 6 months ago. Very very frustrating since I already took the time off for my appt and if they knew about this already why didn't they said so ahead of time when I was making THAT appointment. My first impression started with showing up to my appointment after taking the day off from work, just for the front desk to tell me that they couldn't verify my insurance because they were understaffed, therefore, they were "forced" to cancel. Since i was in need of a dentist, i proceed to visit them again a week later, after they verified my insurance. I saw dr. Pham and he was nice. When i returned for my follow up, i brought my husband and though I requested that they schedule him with my same dentist, they did not. My husband needed a deep cleaning so all they did was take X-rays and tell us that they'd call us to give us an estimate on the deep cleaning "once their staff got back from EDC in Vegas". We never got a call and it's been months. I then call myself to ask about the price and they say they can't give me the quote over the phone?? This dental office is by far the one of the more unprofessional offices I have visited. Though the office is physically nice and it seems the doctors are good, the front desk staff is just terrible. They are rude and always seem to be unorganized and understaffed. I hope they improve their service. read more

This dental office is a stellar customer service location. I had a crown come off in the very front, and I was able to get in right away. I had never been there before and I was so impressed with Dr. Duong, the office staff and best of all I walked out that day with a brand new front tooth I didn't have to have a temporary but with their neat computer type thingy they're able to create a crown during the same visit.
