Ragdoll Ranch - Makes me smile everytime

After losing my sweet Sadie, I felt an emptiness in my home I didn't think could ever be filled…read more Then I found Taylor through Ragdoll Ranch, and what I brought home was more than a kitten. He was a blessing, a piece of light, and a living reminder that love continues. I've worked with breeders before, but never like this. Ashley and Lyle are not just breeders, they are family, and they raise their kittens like family. Ashley mothers these babies in a way you can see and feel: they are held, loved, and nurtured during those tender months when personality is formed. When I adopted Taylor at 6 months old, he came to me not just healthy and socialized, but with a sweetness that only comes from being raised with real heart. He checks every box you'd expect from a true Ragdoll: gentle, floppy, endlessly affectionate, the kind of cat who seems born to love. Some people misunderstand what it means for a Ragdoll to be "purebred." The truth is that Ragdolls were created in the 1960s by Ann Baker using a mix of breeds (Birman, Persian-like, Siamese-pointed cats, and a white domestic longhair named Josephine). That's the foundation of the breed. So when DNA tests today show traces of those breeds, that doesn't disprove anything, it actually confirms the breed's history. What makes a Ragdoll purebred is registration and lineage, and all of Ragdoll Ranch's kings and queens are TICA-registered Ragdolls. But beyond papers and pedigrees, what matters most is love. Ragdoll Ranch gave me not just a cat, but a companion whose personality reflects the kindness of the people who raised him. They were responsive, transparent, and professional; providing health records, care guidance, and even advice on local vets. Ashley has even cared for Taylor for me when I couldn't -- a gesture that says more than words ever could. This isn't just a business. It is a humane, heartfelt, beautiful enterprise; a reflection of beautiful people investing their lives in something of the heart. In a world that often feels hurried and transactional, Ashley and Lyle remind me that when something is raised with love, it shows. Taylor shows it every single day. To say I recommend this breeder would be an understatement. If you are looking for a Ragdoll raised with love and integrity, I implore you to reach out. Ashley and Lyle are not only the best in town -- they are among the best you'll find anywhere.

The saying 'our rescue dog, rescued us' couldn't be more incredibly true and we are forever…read moregrateful to Dog Town Canine Rescue (DTCR) for bringing Bohobi aka Hobey into our hearts, our lives, our furever home to be a part of our family. Four years ago yesterday on December 14, 2013 our family grew a little bigger, when we went to Carson City PetSmart as DTCR was there having an adoption event. We visited several of the cutest pups that they had there that day as my husband came around the corner to Bohobi aka Hobey and his sibling Donzia he just knew that he was 'The One'. So he asked his Foster Mom if he could take him for a stroll around the store and as he walked with him, that was the moment again that my husband instantly connected with Bohobi aka Hobey. He just knew that Hobey would be a perfect fit for our home, so he introduced me and my Daughter to him with us falling in love with him too. We talked with Dorothy and his Foster Mom, filled out the appropriate paperwork next we knew Hobey was a part of our family, forever in our hearts. Bohobi aka Hobey has been the BIGGEST blessing to our home, our lives and his furry Sister Sadie just adores him. Both of them reminding us everyday to enjoy the little things in life by showing how easy it is to give gratitude, being goofy by not being afraid to laughing at ourselves, their unconditional love each time they greet us, showing us loyalty while being non-judgmental and encouraging us to get up to get out while enjoying the great outdoors for a walk or hike. DTCR is an AMAZING non-profit that helps many fur babies aka dogs and rehomes them with fabulous families, just like ours. It's easy to donate to help their cause or even adopt one of their fur babies of your own by going to Carson City PetSmart like we did on a Saturday for one of their regularly scheduled adoption events every month. Be sure to check out their webpage to see times and dates and find your newest addition to your family. So go get rescued, your heart and soul will thank you. And Thank you Dog Town for helping Hobey rescue us! Want to learn more about Hobey aka Bohobi's story? Click on DTCRs website and then click on 'Stories of Dogs We Helped' his and his furry family including his fur mommy's story is the first one. Be sure to have tissue handy.
