I am an active 81 year old working man. For the past three years I have suffered lower back pain…read more In the most recent times, walking or standing were not an option after about five minutes. My legs would go numb and if I didn't have something to grab onto, I would drop to the ground. I discussed the problem with my cardiologist on Dec 15, 2022. He recommended and referred me to Dr. Rajamand. On Dec 16th, Dr. Rajamand's office staff ordered an MRI for me. The MRI was conducted on that same day and I was seen by Dr. Rajamand on Jan 17, 2023. On Feb 8, 2023, Dr. Rajamand performed back surgery and released me to go home that same day. I did not require any pain medication immediately after nor since then. The only short restriction I had was to be careful not to reopen the incision. Two months later I remain completely pain free and with no restrictions. Dr. Rajamand told me before surgery that he could fix my problem and he did fix my problem. It doesn't get any better than that. I highly recommend Dr. Rajamand and his staff.

My experience with him started when my favorite doctor left town and I had to find another doctor. He was the only one available within Carson Tahoe, and with some hindsight I should've just switched to a different practice entirely. I knew Carson Tahoe was bad and only cares about money, but watching this doctor and his staff develop into that model has been pretty bad. The referrals and follow ups are a rough start to boot. He has referred me to so many places that have never called, never gotten a referral, and don't even know who I am when I call. I have a problem that requires a dermatologist and he referred me to a practice I had never been to before even though I have a dermatologist. Let me guess, if I want the referral corrected I have to make an appointment? Which leads me to: My biggest issue with his practice is that no matter the issue, no matter how trivial, he will not solve any issue without an appointment. It doesn't matter if you were in that day, or the day before, or a week ago. It's not like I miss my yearly appointments, I see the doctor several times a year because of my conditions. One would think if I had a reasonable request like, "can we increase my anti-depressant strength", that we could solve that issue without the need for an appointment a couple weeks after the follow up appointment to another appointment one month ago. Every single issue I have, his MA Aiden and himself have always responded with, "Make an appointment". It's getting old and he clearly does not value our time and only cares about the visit billing. *Update: His office must have taken offence to my review, they sent me a certified letter that I cannot go to eagle medical center because of "non-compliance". My husband and I were very upset at the prospect of starting with a new doctor however when we met Dr Aldrich we were extremely happy because he has the same type of personality as our previous doctor. What I love about him the most is he doesn't make you feel uncomfortable or scared, he tries to look at the symptoms and take the easiest treatment to see if it works. He is always available, very compassionate and easy to talk to. My husband is a difficult patient, but Dr Aldrich knows exactly how to deal with him. If you want a Doctor Who has that small town bedside manner with years of experience then this is the doctor for you. His nurse Paula is incredible and always available if you have a problem. During this Covid crisis we did several telehealth Zoom appointment and it went very well. They told us it was walk-in only. No appointments. Everything was handled very professionally and we were swiftly entered into the system. Unfortunately, the waiting is the hardest part. We arrived at 8:30 and weren't called back until 9:15. Not the end of the world. I've waited longer in the doctor's office, when I was a kid. I did notice it was not first come first serve. A few folks that came in after us were brought to the back before us. Prepare yourself for that. They performed their test and closely followed protocol. They thanked us for coming in and off we went. Important to remember this is NOT your family's doctor's office and the ladies aren't familiar with you.
