Our windshield was back ordered, but she consistently kept us updated and made sure to check in so we always knew the status of the delivery. That level of communication really made a difference. All of the ladies at the front desk were friendly and welcoming every time we came in, which made the experience even better. The facility itself was clean, organized, and very well presented. When the windshield was finally installed, it was done with perfection. You can tell they take pride in their work. Anytime I have had auto body issues, Avalon Collision Center has always been my go to, and Jen is always the one I ask for. Unfortunately, I've now needed the services of Carstar Avalon Fontana twice. The service and workmanship I had with the first car a few years ago helped me know they were the company I wanted to go with in April of this year when I needed another car repaired. I was scheduled to be out of town 30 hours after my accident. I called right at 8:00am the following day and my call was immediately answered (I believe by a manager). He said they could take my car as I could get it there. I was able to take my vacation and not worry about my car. The repairs were finished well ahead of time, and I am very pleased with the work. The staff is very professional. They offered a courtesy lift home, though I didn't take them up on it. Checked my car in for appraisal performed by Rene. This shop was referred to me by my insurance . Rene mentioned I have to pay half of my deductible of 250 dollars before the work even began. Never heard of such a thing. They call it deposit. When I was ready to pay my deposit they said I have to pay the whole deductible 500 dollars before work even starts. I called my insurance and cancelled Carstar to work on my vehicle. This kind of practice is just for profit and nothing to do with helping customers. I took my 2016 Ford Focus for repairs via Geico. The receptionist was nice and took me to do an inspection on the vehicle to go over the damage and rule out any previous damage. I was specific when telling her that coolant was leaking and to make sure they check it along with the other damage. A few days later I get the quote of repairs from service advisor Rene and it didn't show any quote regarding the coolant. When I called him he tried to mansplain that maybe I was confused with condensation from the AC. I was not confused. He said they would check it again after the body repairs. 3 days later with no update I called again and he said they had yet to get to it. I called 2 days later and he stated the tech found no leaks. But I know we had a leak since the coolant was disappearing. He said they would check again. The next call I received was that my car was ready. They found no issues with the coolant. The body repair was as expected. They did not fix the bottom plastic piece of the car so they quickly took it back and fixed it before we left. Once we got home I realized they had removed the front license plate and it was missing the bracket to mount it back on. Also the next day the coolant was almost out as it was leaking like I originally told them. I was so bothered by their service that I took my car to get diagnosed at another shop and they immediately found the leak in the coolant reservoir. I chose to fix it with the new place because Carstar chose to ignore my original request. Why take it back. Also just a small thing but they play Fox News all day the 2 times I went. It seemed strange to sit there and listen to news talking $&@" about one side of politics. Why not have a neutral show for all clients. Would not recommend this place to anyone as they do not do 100 percent of the work. My insurance paid them, I paid the 500 deductible and then I paid 240 at the other mechanic to fix the coolant leak. Do no go to Carstar. read more

From our experience at the front desk with the girls in the office, who are so friendly, to receiving several phone calls, giving us a status on the update of a repair. I can't remember when I had an experience that was so thorough. I was actually taken back by how much communication we received from them during the process... They were constantly updating us as to what they were doing. And to top it off our car was done six days earlier than they predicted. They did a great job on the repairs.
