I brought in my 2025 BMW M850--a $120,000 car--with very minor damage to the rear passenger door and quarter panel. Multiple body shops estimated the repair at around $2,000, but because the car being brand new, I chose this shop specifically for their claim of being BMW-certified and capable of delivering factory-quality work. That was a huge mistake. I scheduled the repair with Andy and clearly stated my expectations for a factory-quality finish. I was told the job would take about 10 days. Instead, it dragged on for 5 weeks. The excuse? Insurance underwriter was "new and in training." Meanwhile, I had to pay an extra $430 out of pocket for a rental car. To make matters worse, they billed my insurance $8,500 for a repair that should have been straightforward. When I finally got my car back, the paint job was shockingly bad. Orange peel, overspray all over the exterior--and even inside the car. Completely unacceptable. After I complained, I had to wait another 2 weeks just for them to arrange a rental so they could fix their own mistakes. The shop manager, Henry, promised he would personally oversee the repair and said it would take 2 more weeks. Then things got even worse. After those 2 weeks, Henry contacted me asking if I was the second owner of the car. He claimed that the front fender and A-pillar had been previously painted, which is why the color didn't match. I told him I bought the car brand new and I am the only owner. He then suggested that sometimes cars are damaged during transport and repaired by dealers without disclosure. Now their "solution" is to strip half the car down to bare metal and repaint it--for the THIRD time. I also reached out to BMW USA, and frankly, they seem completely uninterested in helping or holding their certified shops accountable. It really makes you question what "BMW-certified" even means. If they can't handle a minor paint repair, I would not trust them with anything more serious. At this point, I genuinely fear for the condition of my car. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration--take your car anywhere else, even Maaco. And honestly, even making that comparison feels unfair to Maaco. Avoid this place at all costs.
