This information can be verified with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration - Publication# 73. I visited Legacy Jewlers to have my wife's rings resized. Upon the initial visit I met with one of the owners, Kevin who was very friendly and was able to assist us with determining the proper sizing of the ring. He mentioned it would take about a week to complete. The cost to resize (1 size down) a gold ring and platinum ring was $120. When picking up the rings I met with the other owner, Nick. He included sale's tax even though CA sale's tax is only applicable to purchasing materialistic items and not services. I explained that CA sale's tax is not applicable to services and he could verify this information with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) which is the CA State Department that administers the Seller's Permit which is required to operate the business. I even offered to show him exactly where this information could be found on the CDTFA website since he had a computer nearby. He declined and said he wasn't changing how he charges customers even though he refunded me the illegally charged sale's tax. It was interesting to encounter a business owner oblivious to the law while declining to learn and apply the law to prevent an audit, fees, and potential Seller's Permit revocation by the CDTFA.

I appreciated his insight and honesty. If you are not aware, you cannot walk into a Rolex AD and buy a watch. They are all sold out. So you are essentially looking at watches and putting your name on a waiting list to be able to purchase a watch in the future. That is not DeVons fault, that is just the current market. I had a major knee operation. And it required a second surgery. I'm hoping to commemorate the resilience and recovery with the oyster perpetual. I was so thankful that my first experience in a Rolex AD was at DeVons and with Robert. I understand that the current economy in Rolex watches has waiting lists. That is just the reality. The take home is that everyone at DeVons treated its customers with respect and made them feel welcome. For this I am thankful and I will hopefully be buying my watches from DeVons for many years.

They marked it and indicated it would be $140. Which is much higher than prior owner but since it was my mother's and I wanted to use the excess Opals to make earrings, I paid the price. When I went to pick it up, it was still too big. The rep indicated he may have gotten the measurement wrong. On Opal had been removed. He remarked the bracelet and indicated they would need another few days. I instructed them to keep the Opal link that was removed and I would pick it up when the bracelet was ready. When I returned, the bracelet was sized correctly but one of the Opal Links was missing, as they had now moved two but only one was there. They checked the back and said they could not find but would keep looking. I then called weekly for a minimum of 5 weeks. No response for most calls but once I got them on the phone, I asked how would they compensate for this. They indicated they would talk to the owner and get back to me and asked if I would consider receiving another Opal. I said it won't match the design but let me know what they want to do. Here we are weeks later with NO follow-up call. It is terrible service so my only recourse at this time is writing this review. To the Store Owner, if you read your reviews, please contact me. You have my number as I have called many times. What is the solution here?

Maurice used several sheets of thinner silver to make the collar and his wife found a pattern that was almost identical to the broken one which was engraved onto the new one. Since then I have taken a couple of pieces of jewelry to be repaired. Even though it's a longer drive for me I won't take my jewelry anywhere else.
