The Cask was pumping out English Pub Ale again, and they had it on tap for those who prefer the gas. Simply amazing (cask). Since Pines was not flowing, moved on the Centient IPA, similar to the west coast style Pines...my bullseye. We finished with a 6oz pour of the Rye barrel aged, not my style but good experience. The French onion soup is always hearty and satisfying. It was only outdone by the beef/cheddar sandwich. Lori had the carnitas tacos, one of our favs! Stopped by for apps and drinks on a Wednesday. It was both poker and wing night so it was busy. The staff however was very attentive and service was quick. The nachoes were really good, we liked the presentation and the diced peppers. Beers were good, my husband enjoyed the Arboreus and Old Grad pours specifically. read more

Very family-friendly spot with some fun games for kids--our son loved the cars and Jenga. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant visit. Unfortunately, the beer itself didn't impress us. We did a flight of IPAs, and our highest rating for flavor was only a 2.5/5. This spot is very good. Had the Szechuan peppercorn wings they are amazing. You can definitely feel the tingle but also not for everyone. Fries were very crispy and also got a warm pretzel with great cheese. Unsure how many people know of this place but sure seems like they deserve more recognition. read more

Stopped in for a drink before our reservations downtown, so we didn't try the food but it did look and smell amazing! Beer was tasty and the bartender was very friendly. We got our Lancaster brewery tasting passport, so we'll be back when we're hungry! read more

I always try to stop whenever I'm visiting the area. There's always a large variety of beer available, all of a high quality (Old Chap is a great , low ABV crusher). There's also a very talented kitchen staff - I had the House Salad w/ Carnitas last night, which was delicious, but if it's your first time you have to try the BLT, which comes with amazing, barleywine-glazed bacon. The atmosphere of the place is warm and inviting, with lots of wood and concrete tones, and there's a patio outside for when the weather is nice; the bartending staff is always friendly and accommodating as well. Went on a Saturday evening. I got the beef tallow fries and fish and chips. The fish and chips were so good! Very light tempura batter and the fish (cod) was flaky. The beef tallow fries were very good and you can definitely taste the difference between the tallow fries and the normal fries I got with the fish and chips. Service was very good too! Decent place nothing fancy. Woman behind bar was pleasant and helpful. Guy. Not nearly as much. Initial stop on brewery tour. Food appeared good but didn't try. Off to another after sampling a flight. Nothing compelled me to order more but all were flavorful. May return if nearby again. Merchandise selection lacking. Great upgrade in location since Cartel moved to the old Hunger n Thirst location off Harrisburg Pike. New locale has an abundance of seating, great offerings of pub style food, and plenty of parking in their private lot. The new location offers plenty of beers on tap, and has a couple guest taps as well. Service was superb, with friendly bartenders and workers during the lunch hour and quick service. Highly recommend the Indecision Coalition Belgian Dubbel or Vox (Populi) Pilsner. read more

I like to support local businesses but this place was just not good. I don't know if it was an off night but our group was expecting a completely different experience based on the yelp reviews. Our group tried a large variety of beer and decided it was not good (2/5). The food was equally disappointing. We tried tacos, sandwiches, pretzels, mac and cheese, wings. The only edible food was the wings and pretzel. The staff was nice but most of the tables hadn't been cleared from the previous diners when we got there. Consensus was that we would not being coming back anytime soon. read more

A really nice space and friendly staff but the beer was just flat out bad. I appreciated the wide spectrum of styles offered and I had quite a few of them. The IPAs were atrocious, leaving a whole lot to be desired. I didn't finish one of the three I ordered. The marzen and a few of the other lagers were the only saving grace, sadly. We have visited twice now this summer and both times had a wonderful time. The beer offerings are plentiful and wide ranging - something for everyone. The "Sangria" sour wheat (I know - sounds crazy) is delicious and reminds me of the on-tap sangria I drank at small football clubs in Spain. They also have local spirits and cocktails for those looking beyond the brews. The food is also delicious - we haven't ordered something we haven't loved yet. They incorporate the ingredients and beers & spirits in many of the food offerings which adds some unique flavors and fun. Don't miss the beef tallow frites! Other standouts we tried - the hummus, the delicious Millionaire BLT, the Tacos, and the Fish & Chips. And we can't forget the people. They are great - friendly, accommodating, and happy to engage with you. Let's not sleep on this one, Lancaster - we need to support them because we all deserve a place to like this to hang out! A.mazing!! BEST BLT IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! My daughter got the pork belly taco and it was delicious!! We both got margaritas and they were also very good. The fries with the blt were perfect! A great local spot that just opened in March! They have a great beer list that offers a lot of variety. I wasn't a huge fan of all of my beers (some had a very strong after taste), but I understand they are in the beginning phases of brewing/I may very well just have different tastebuds than others. There is outdoor and indoor seating (the outdoors mainly just have standing tables). There was a Pizza Tent pop up the Friday we were there. Friendly-ish staff, they seem like they are very quiet people. We will for sure be back! read more

Not a bad spot. They have done a great job renovating the building. All of the beers ok and they usually have a food truck lineup with decent food. The staff isn't the most welcoming and friendly. The owner is usually there and doesn't really talk or associate with the guests very much. Over all there isn't really anything about this place that makes you scream I can't wait to come back. While the beer was some of the best Lancaster has to offer, Adam's knowledge and person-ability made the experience all the better. Particularly recommend the English Mild, Afterglow, and Saison.
