When following the directions you'll come to a corner house with a cross out front. The honey is located in the back of the house through the glass door patio. You'll see signage to make sure you go in the right door. There are two honey offerings (plastic bottle or glass bottle) as well as a variety of skin care products. Cash or zelle is accepted for payment. I found the phone # on the business card and had no issue sending a zelle. I came home right away and tried the honey and it's delicious.

So, with the holiday season during Covid I was trying to support local businesses as well as be creative with my gifts. So, when it came to Mom and her love of honey no doubt Cloister came to mind. After checking out the selection I could not pass on the 'Holiday' Trio. The trio included Cinnamon, Cocoa and Pumpkin Spice whipped honeys. OMG, they all sounded amazing! The ordering process was simple, and one thing I loved was I marked my order as a "gift", so a note could be included, but listed my mailing address, so I could drop it at Mom's. Didn't think anything of it, as I have never had a company reach out, but Joanne, the owner, reached out to me via email to confirm the address, since I indicated a gift but listed my address, same as billing. Now, how sweet is that? I received the package which was one of the best packing jobs I have seen and included was an extra jar of honey, as a treat! If you have not tried Cloister, definitely give them a try. But, be careful, you may become addicted, ha ha!

Doing a little research I discovered that this location recently opened in March and is an offshoot of the Markets in Waxsaw and Belmont. It is a family owned Farmer's Market that features sustainable food products from local producers. Fresh milk, Butter, Cheese, Meats and Honey are available, as well as dry goods and spices. There was also a display case with baked goods, including cookies the size of plates.You can throw a rock and hit something Gluten Free - but they ask that you please don't throw rocks. The store is very neat, clean and streamlined to the point of being a bit sparse. Prices seemed reasonable with a few items being on the high side.There are some small tables with games for kids. Who doesn't love a quick game of Rock'em Sock'em Robots?!
