Recently I went down there to return an item -- big mistake. I should have paid the $8 to mail it back. Instead I waited for half an hour in line. There were two women at the customer service desk: a black woman and her manager, a blue-haired Mama June type, fresh out of the trailer park. Blue-hair was talking to a blonde woman she was apparently developing a serious crush on. They talked and talked and talked, recapping and repeating themselves, even though their transaction was over and customers were waiting to be serviced. Finally blondie walked away and I was next -- WRONG! Blue-hair decided now was the perfect time to take a break, so she waddled slowly away leaving only the black woman working the desk. After a long wait, the black woman finally finished with her soul sister and was very surly with me. She ordered me to "remove the items from the bag." Apparently her arms and hands were broken, she couldn't take the two SMALL items out of the OPEN shipping bag...so I took them out for her. She then proceeded to ask why I was returning the items. Irritated by my needlessly long wait and her foul attitude, I was not in the mood to repeat answers I already gave when I processed the return online. So I replied "I already answered those questions when I did the return online." No pleasantries, no apologies for the long wait and definitely no customer service skills from either of these two. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. Do your business online through the JCP website and have your items shipped back and forth. It's worth the extra cost!!!

They were well acquainted with that they had on hand. There is plenty of parking at this location. It is easy to get to the parking lot from Michigan Avenue when heading west. When leaving the lot use caution as Michigan Avenue can be busy at various times of day and the rest of the time the cars move along very fast. Heading east you will need make a U-Turn to get to the lot. Prices are reasonable and quality is high.

Turquoise is the theme color of Maurice's decor. The store entrance and the bags for merchandise are both this beautiful color. Maurices is a one stop shop for moms and daughters. They offer clothes from girls sizes 7-14 through women's size 3X The only thing they could do a little better is to have more sales. I bought one item and spent over $30. I definitely plan on coming back to look at the clearance rack.

DSW is my go to spot for a special pair of shoes for my granddaughter or myself. The kids selection is amazing and they even carry Stride Rite brand. The adult and kids clearance section in the back of the store is well worth a look see for a great discount. The service is always good! I like to stop in weekly to a nearby DSW to donate an old pair of shoes to apply toward my DSW reward points. They add up quickly for dollars off of my purchases. Check out their Soles4Soul program. Unfortunately, since the terrible customer service and respect for their own co-workers, I will never return. That was my first time at that location. Not very smart of them as their job in retail is ending as these kinds of stores are closing because everyone is shopping online. As a fan, I enjoy the Hallmark Channel swag that comes out around Christmas time that also gets marked down after the holidays. There are also beautiful Chinese language cards for Christmas and Lunar New Year that I can't find anywhere else. I love the warm and fuzzy feeling that Hallmark brings when the weather gets cooler.
