Wisely I am doing advance reconnaissance prior to her arriving at these destinations. Dear wifey was so disappointed when some of the cuter budget clothing shops in Flushing closed up. Wife was unconsolable when both Pretty Girl and Rainbow went out. She buried herself in Forever 21, Marshalls and Neiman Marcus outlets! It wasn't pretty.. Now ..I will be spared some of her wardrobe expenses as RAINBOW has all the styles that she loves that make her look young and cute, just the way she feels. Yes ..and wait for it . With Rainbows insanely cheap prices and huge selection cute and adorable wifey won't be dragging me all over the place. Or.. out to the distant East End Outlets again.. oh God no, not that. Yes there is every sandal that I ever seen made here and they just ten bucks each if you buy more than one. Wifey loved the pictures of all the different things that I knew she would like and she'll be coming back and with me to drain the paycheck. This boutique showcases and sells the entire line so they may only have a couple pieces per size of many items. Sale racks are jammed and messy but I have found a couple gems in them. There's always a lot on sale/clearance as they constantly bring in new styles. There's five private try on rooms along with a fairly comfortable open area with mirror to try jackets etc. Wait for service can be long. Usually only two, sometimes three, saleswomen on hand. They do try to give very attentive personal service, but the difficulty is when the store is crowded and each one is wrapped up with personally attending one customer, the rest of us kind of wander around feeling unimportant. Sometimes you don't even get a "Welcome to Chico's" when you walk in. In my first few visits I was under the impression you had to wait for one of the staff to officially assign you a try on room, but later on I would just hop right into an open one if I needed to without asking anyone's permission. They tend to be on the slow side at checkout time too. Let's face it, many of the customers in here do not have their eye on the clock to make sure they get back to work on time; in fact they probably don't even have the concept of what a lunch hour means. The younger girl who works there is pretty helpful and is better at multi-tasking (multi-customering?) than the rest of the crew. You can also return things here that were bought online. Overall, worth a stop in from time to time at least to scope out those sale racks.
