My husband ordered a bouquet for our anniversary. The florist called to confirm that I would be home, before delivery. Being self employed w/ an infant, my schedule is super random, so I really liked that. When it was delivered, it was beautiful. However, when my husband saw it, he said it was similar, but not exactly what he ordered & paid for. Also, the florist had bragged that their specialty was a 360 design, not just a pretty front side, like other florists. It didn't appear that way to me, as the blue was only on one side. Sadly, 3 days later, most of the bouquet is wilted. I have attached photos. The 1st one is what he ordered, as pictured on their website. The 2nd is how it was received. The 3rd is how it looked 3 days later.

I ordered valentine's flowers for my wife to be delivered but was not given a time for the delivery. I called to find out as to when will the flowers be delivered and the lady who answered the phone was very rude and starting swearing at me and even hangout the phone on me because i told her she was being defensive and giving me excuses over a very simple question. Will never do business with Carter's Florist, Nursery &Landscaping again. read more

Really disappointed on the customer service. Let me start out to say that I am aware that I ordered flowers on Christmas Eve and that it is a holiday and busy. My issue is not with that, but with the fact that their website allowed me to order flowers for Christmas Eve delivery. I live out of town and did not call their voicemail or look at their FB page. Why would I? The website promised a delivery when the business was closed. When I spoke to Kay this morning, it was clear she didn't really care and indicated that it was my fault because they were closed and "it was on the Fb page and on the voicemail". Ok, I get that. BUT, as someone from out of town, I assume that when a website allows me to choose a date for delivery, it is accurate and I don't need to go and check in multiple places to make sure they will follow through on what they say they will. The "solution" was to charge me today for late flowers, some of which were no longer available. My request to even just cover the delivery fee for the inconvenience was ignored. As a small business owner myself, I would have treated the customer better and worked on a solution to make it right, especially since the website was wrong. They do have beautiful flowers that my mother-in-law loves (I have ordered here 3 or 4 times before), but I won't be ordering from here again. read more

I contacted them to have a $75 arrangement sent and Carlotta took my info and them proceeded to tell me that I couldn't get anything nice because flowers are very expensive now. I am a floral designer and was married to a floral wholesaler for over 20 years - EVERYTHING is in season now. She was rude, refused to listen and when I asked her to have the owner call, she said for me to call another shop and hung up on me. Yikes! I'm glad they aren't filling my order!!! read more

I recently ordered a spray for a classmate's funeral online & must have somehow fudged the numbers. Someone from Carter's contacted me the very next day & we were able to take care of the problem. When I arrived at the funeral home the next day the flowers had been delivered. They were very beautiful & exactly what I expected. I want to note that I have seen comments on pricing being high with Moon Valley in general, but from my experience of seeing how healthy and well loved the trees are cared for, plus with excellent service both at the nursery and the crew putting the trees in, it's worth the quality investment and puts equity into your property. Depending on your…read moreproject you can shop at the big box stores which provide for your average needs, but if you are doing any kind of private landscaping, gardening or want the exacting standards of quality materials with low environmental impact then local businesses like Nature's Way Resources is the way to go. For this project, I aerated and dethatched part of my front yard and it was in need of a good base layer for the soil to recover; in addition to, landscaping a front patio area. I ordered 1 1/2 Cubic Yard Leaf Mold Compost, 1/2 Yard of Landscaper mix, a few Black-eyed Susan, a Mexican Sage bush and some other pollinators. Due to the time saved from gathering all my materials from this one location saved me $$$ and I was able to complete the project in a weekend. If your need is not as expansive they offer bagged soil for smaller needs, but to get the best value I would partner with a fellow DIYers with pickup trucks and order loose materials or have it delivered on site. Nature's Way Resources also have a big selection of mulch, compost, fertilizers and offer a Green Waste Recycling program. If you read this post to the end, I will let you in on a little secret.....they have a rock garden in the rear where contractors and DIYers dump material not needed and you will find some gems for FREE. All you need to do is sign a liability waiver at the front desk and recommend you have some sturdy steel toe boots, gloves, and watch out for critters.

Felt like i was dealing with thugs. needless to say will never go near a Houston Garden Center again.

I've never really conversed much in my previous visits, I just bought what I needed and left so I never met anybody. Anyway, they had some fresh fruit in styrofoam cups on the counter and I was asking about them while buying my soil so he let me try some. Everything tasted great & fresh so I decided to buy a cup of blackberries. Paid for my soil & blackberries. He did something strange. He poured my blackberries out of the cup and into a thin plastic bag with nothing else protecting them. I was concerned but didn't ask which I regret because sure enough, some of them got mushed otw home because they were just in a thin bag on my seat. Even from the grocery stores they come in a container. Then after I paid and was on my way out, he said "I'll go get the bags you need. Just backup and I'll load them." I thought that was weird because I didn't ask for help getting my soil and have always gotten them myself all the past times I've been here. But I'm generally not a confrontational person so I just left it alone. Sure enough, he gave me the worse bag he could find on their pallet just to get rid of them. Two of the bags of soil got some green stuff at the bottom like they been sitting there way too long and one of the other bags was busted open and spilling dirt by time I made it home. These are bags I probably wouldn't have grabbed myself so I'm sure he was happy to "unload" them on somebody. After meeting with Jessica, we decided to use Carter's Florist for our wedding florals. She was easy to work with, worked with our budget, offered her experience and delivered a beautiful display of arrangements for us at The Woodlands Country Club. She took the time to understand our vision and delivered. I also felt like I was in very confident hands with her. Many commented on the mega arrangements she came up with to pull the guests eyes in the direction we wanted. They were beautiful!! Selecting a floral arrangement for a memorial service couldn't have been easier than at Carter's. The two staff members we dealt with were both helpful and courteous as well as being very knowledgeable about the options they had to offer. They were primarily concerned about the arrangement being what we wanted rather than doing what they figured would be best. Without a doubt they will be our "go to" florists whenever the need arises.
