Brought a ring in to be sized. Took 6 weeks to get it back. About 3 months later the weld broke and the band is no longer connected in the back so it pinched my finger and I had to leave it home to avoid injury. Working 70 hours per week allowed very little time to bring it in to be fixed but I finally had a day to do that today. Spoke with Amanda who had to ask Chelsea if it was ok to send back. She tried to charge me an additional $40 to have it sized again! After asking if they only honor their repair work for less than a year they asked if I wanted to send it in or not. I declined and stated I no longer trusted them with my precious jewelry and an apology would have been appropriate at this point but she couldn't even offer that to me. I bought my wife's engagement ring and wedding ring from them witch she loved. Upgraded 3 years later which they gave me full trade in value as to what I paid towards the upgrade which is awesome. This place is trash. I went in for a repair and a cleaning. First they tell me they don't clean silver. Mind you, it was a beautiful Tiffany necklace. Then my gold necklace, the girl proceed to tell me is not reading and they can't take it. The necklace is 100% real 14k gold. I will never come in to this place again. I can see why they have downgraded to smaller stores multiple times because they don't know how to make money. while waiting I looked around and the selection in there isn't even good anyway. Went in today with four tenths of an ounce of 14kt gold to sell as scrap. The girl offered me 80 bucks. I then went to a pawn shop that PAID me 230 bucks. Girl at Jewelry exchange tried to screw me and I will never do business with them even though I was a former customer and bought jewelry from them in the past. Scrap gold is still gold and not worthLESS because it is scrap. Do not do business with them! They will just rip you off. read more

***BUYER BEWARE*** You had better make double sure you are buying exactly what you want. Or make super sure your significant other (wife, husband, etc.) wants what you're buying. There are NO REFUNDS whatsoever. They will offer store credit, but if you're like me and don't wear a lot of jewelry then you're pretty much S.O.L. Also, you could give it as a gift to someone else.... Buuuut, my family all live out of state and don't really wear jewelry either... Now, that being said, the employees that I spoke with - including the owner (husband talked to him) - were all extremely friendly. Unfortunately I'm stuck with a $250 necklace chain that is too short (and that I did not want to begin with). Lets give you, the reader, a little backstory... It was the middle of November when he asked what I would like for Christmas this year. I took to Amazon with a frenzy. My list was chocked full of anything from a spice rack on up to a new living room set and everything in between... Heck, I even consolidated lists from previous years with the new things I was picking out (there were close to 50 things to choose from - all I would have been happy to receive). However, on December 24th is when he finally did his Christmas shopping... I dreaded it when I saw the charge from this company... But, hey, he did a good job last year - I should have nothing to fear... Christmas morning......... I opened the box and had to hold back tears from what was in it. A $250 necklace chain.... Why did it hit so hard? I should be thankful he got anything at all... Don't get me wrong, the sentiment was nice.... But I have had this happen so many times before.... "What would you like?" they ask. "Gift cards or here's a list". I'm a pretty simple gal really.... Mainly because MOST places offer returns and refunds... Unfortunately, it looks like I'm off to a different jewelry store or a pawn shop to try and recoup some of the money that has been lost to Cartersville Jewelry Exchange... Just wanted to close with a reiteration that the staff were all nice - unfortunately I do not agree with their return/exchange policy. When asked why it was this way - it's because they do not have a gemologist or metal(ologist?) on site and would not be able to tell if the piece your selling to them or returning is actual real jewelry and not costume pieces... Now, that being said, what if I had taken and replaced the gold necklace chain I had purchased with costume jewelry and then came in and exchanged it for an item for the same price? Wouldn't you be out that amount of money anyway? Heck, we even offered for them to basically buy the item from us, but was told that they wouldn't do that either. Seems odd to me. I wouldn't mind taking a hit of $50-$75 seeing as how you would make that much once you sold it to another person, but hey, that's just me. So, be careful, and I would recommend shopping where you can get your money back if there's an issue. read more

I had a terrific experience at the Cartersville Jewelry Exchange! I went in to have a ring updated. I'd been to a few other stores and did not see anything that I liked. CJE had several mountings, but still nothing, grabbed me. The sales associate I was working with suggested something be custom made. We came with a concept and then while I waited in the owners office, the jeweler created a magnificent ring that I absolutely love. They were courteous, professional and really take time and consideration in creating this one of a kind ring. I highly recommend them! read more

Bought engagement ring here. Stone fell out with no signs of damage to the prongs and they refused to do anything about it. Even though we spoke to them about this when we bought the ring, they told us at the time that if there were no signs of damage that they would take care of us.... instead they did nothing and we are out of a diamond. read more

I Bought a promise ring for my girlfriend from this jewelry store.. A week later the stone fell out.. I brought the ring back in for repair thinking it was just a fluke.. I paid for my repair and stone replacement.. When the ring was so called repaired and i picked it up i noticed the seating and placement of the stone seemed off.. This i saw with the naked eye.. i was shocked that the jeweler even let the ring leave the store in that condition.. The prongs were straight up and down and the stone placed in on an angle which provided little support.. Guess he was content while peeping from around corners in the back.. of course this being the case the stone fell out again almost immediately within days.. I knew from that point this stores jewelry and the jeweler were nothing but a joke and only in it for the quick dollar,, and to think i was thinking this would be the place for any future ring purchases and Ect.. I knew i was not going back to that place and paying for more repair from a place that did not value or respect me as customer.. I had to take the ring to another jeweler.. upon looking at the ring its prongs and the basket where there stone should have been seated the jeweler laughed and said i hope there was no charge for the last repair and that he was happy and surprised the stone was not lost again.. The new jeweler took time and patience and repaired the ring and it seems pretty solid now.. I'm Happy to know at least my new jeweler has enough respect for me and my business to do it right the first time.. Cartersville Jewelry exchange will not see any business from me again and i will be sure to let others know to go elsewhere for their jewelry needs..
