This store has absolute horrible communication within the staff. There are not enough employees and no one knows what's going on.

I had a GREAT experience at Cartier in Manhasset! I have been to the 5th Ave store a few times and since I live and work closer to the Manhasset Cartier, I have come here from time to time. I was SHOCKED when I read some negative reviews!!! I was looking for the small Love bracelet in white gold and they were out of it online and in the city. I called Cartier in Manhasset and spoke to Sophie. She was so sweet and said she would check to see if they had my size. She came back on the phone quickly to tell me that they had one left and it was in my size! She held it for me and my husband and I came the next day for an appointment. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness. The gentleman at the door was super nice and welcoming- took our temperatures (COVID precautions were fully in place thankfully). Wendy was the lovely sales associate who helped us with the purchase. She was courteous and so kind and made us feel special. I'm not one of those fancy people who's dripping in jewels... I work full time and try to put aside some of my $ to buy things I love. So for me, buying a piece of jewelry is about the experience and not just about the piece itself. I highly recommend this Cartier boutique at the Americana. I'll always look down on my wrist at this bracelet and remember the wonderful experience my husband and I had at this Cartier... and that I made it through 2020!!! :) read more

Do yourself a favor. Go to the Fifth Ave branch in the city and You will not regard it. They have enough inventory in stock for you to see and purchase. Don't believe what you read online about not needing an appointment - you'll only show up to the store for the doorman on a power trip to rudely shut the door in you face. Plus, no one even answers the phone in the store to even make an appointment in the first place - deeming their whole "system" to be absolutely ridiculous. Totally and completely rude staff that does absolutely nothing to accommodate shoppers who are ready to spend thousands of dollars in their stores. Drove an hour to get here on 9/17/2017 to have my fiance's bracelet retied that would take them less than 2 minutes to do. Arrived at 6pm, 15 minutes prior to the closing time listed on their website (6:15). We went to walk into the store and the doors were locked with several workers standing around inside putting away jewelery. The worker standing closest to the door started screaming and making arm motions (like he was an umpire calling someone safe at home plate) saying that they were closed. I didn't understand since we arrived 15 minutes prior to closing. I figured they were just closing early since there was clearly no business going on there at the time. We got back in the car and called the store to talk to someone to see if they would be able to fix the bracelet since we had just driven an hour to get there. No one answered despite there being several sleazy looking workers inside. If I didn't know better, I would have thought they were being held up. I decided to go back up to the door to see what time they were opening up so they could serve their customers - since closing time was still 15 minutes away. A little round fellow came to the door saying they would open tomorrow. I explained to him that I drove an hour to get here and just needed 2 minutes for them to retie the bracelet. He said that they could not do anything and I should come back tomorrow. The rest of the workers in the store looked out at me in horror, as if they would have to actually work until the store closing time. I told the boy that the website says that they close at 6:15 and it was now only 6:05. He said "well the website is wrong, we close at 5:30." At this point, the portly little fellow got my blood boiling. How could a brand such as Cartier list their close time at 6:15 and close at 5:30 and tell customers arriving before close to come back the next day. I was clearly frustrated and continued making my case to this boy they had working in the store. He then said they have nothing to do with the website, despite being listed on the website. So according to this worker, they have nothing to do with Cartier - not sure if this is a Cartier knockoff store or what. After realizing that I was getting no where, I let my temper get the best of me and left with some choice words expressing my disappointment in these people. I normally don't post these reviews, but after reading other reviews about the customer service at this place, I NEEDED to reconfirm everything that has been posted so far. People shop at these places to feel important, not to be told to come back tomorrow after driving an hour and getting there 15 minutes before "official" closing time shown on the Cartier website. I have decided that I will make it my life mission to make sure that no one I know ever patronizes this supposedly "knock off" Cartier store. Since they clearly had no business today, I guess they are able to keep the lights on catching one sucker a month. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. BUY DIRECT ONLINE AND HOPE NOTHING EVER BREAKS!!! UPDATE: As of 9/25/2017, Cartier has updated their website to state that they are open until 5:45pm on Sunday. Clearly they do not have any of their stories straight since they previously claimed they close at 5:30pm on Sunday. See photos to see proof that their closing time was listed as 6:15pm on the date I visited this location. Still no apologies from Cartier on their mistreatment of their customers. They thought they could cover it up by changing the store closing time on their website. I will not let this rest and will make sure my attorney is in contact with Cartier Corporate to make them aware of this ongoing treatment of customers. If I could i would give this location 0 starts . This location is the absolute worse. Time and time again I go back and the only reason I do it because this is the closest location to me and every-time I regret it. One thing is for sure once you've made the purchase they stop answering your emails and calls. I do not want to name any names but overall my third time there and I am extremely disappointed. Customer service is absolutely horrible. I left my bracelet and necklace for a repair no one called me with updates and no one called to tell me that it has arrived. I drove over an hour to get to the boutique and it was my fault to not check especially during this Covid time if an appointment was needed but when i arrived the boutique seemed busy since it was the middle of the afternoon. The guard asked if i had an appointment but of course I did not. I called the boutique and a lovely women answered they didn't have any appointment but she would do her best if I would allow her a few minutes for a sales associate to become available. She took my number, as promised this angel called me in less then 10 minutes my sales associate Sofie was available. It was a milestone birthday for my mom and the service was first class as expected from a Cartier boutique, they even gave me a champagne so I could celebrate with her once I have her the gift. Their Covid protocol was exceptional disinfecting surface areas after every client this did not go unnoticed as I'm in the medical field. This impressed me so much that I requested to speak with the store manager, to my surprised that was the Angel that accommodated me on the phone. Wow!!!! I usually don't leave reviews but after reading a few I'm guessing that these other people aren't use to the new world that we all live in with Covid. I saw a lot of negative reviews for this location, but it's closer to my house than the Manhattan locations, so I thought I would try it out. I had been there before to try on rings with my partner, so he could find the one he wanted. When I was ready to purchase, I called the store in advance to inquire if they had the engagement ring I needed in stock, and they did. I appreciated them checking for me. I set up an appointment to pick it up that same day, and they accommodated me which I also appreciated. The store is small which is okay, but there is no privacy. I was taken to the sunglasses counter where all the items inside had visible dust on them. I thought for the caliber of the brand and for the amount of money I was going to be spending, that they would have a more private table set aside with at least waters available for me while I waited for my SA. When my SA arrived, she was very kind, accept I was being asked to verify my private information while there were so many random shoppers around that it felt invasive. When my SA left to wrap my purchase, I was offered a water, but after 15min, nothing came. I left with what I came for, but it was not a special experience like I'd hoped for considering I was there to buy my fiancés engagement ring. I know it sounds spoiled, but when I went to Tiffany and Co, I was given a private room, chocolates, and champagne / sparking water (and that was just for an appointment to browse rings, I didn't tell them I would buy anything). Maybe avoid this location if you're looking for a special purchasing experience, because for a luxury brand, there was nothing luxurious about buying from here. read more

There are a lot of mixed (at best) reviews here for Manhasset (I learned a lot from reading). My initial experience was somewhat similar actually (in that inventory seems to be limited). However as far as service goes I can confirm that, first of all, Cristina, the manager is OUTSTANDING truly exceptional and a wonderful representative of the Cartier brand. My sales associate, Wendy, was also WONDERFUL! While I prefer going to an actual Cartier Maison I will say that the Manhasset location and the staff I interacted with made my experience a lovely one. Came to this store from New Jersey while on business and while passing some time, I decided to purchase a gift for myself. This location is well stocked with such beautiful jewelry. Upon entering I was amazed by the grand chandeliers and the attentive staff. I was greeted by a salesperson Micaela who quickly escorted me to a room where I was offered a fantastic espresso. First rate customer service! They shipped my selection to my home address. It was received gift wrapped exquisitely and the sales person even called that day to make sure that the package was received and I couldn't be happier. Always a pleasure walking into this boutique. Staff is friendly and accommodating. It can get busy in this boutique but they try to work hard and help people quickly. These are investment pieces and they take time to show to customers which is understandable. I have purchased multiple pieces from Christina and I can't speak highly enough about her. I'm very surprised to see the negative reviews on this location. I had a very good encounter with sales associate, Sophia. Sophia was very accommodating, professional, and friendly. I purchased the gold wedding band (love ring) where she helped find the right fit for my finger. Long story short, I went back and exchanged my ring because I realized it wasn't tight enough when I returned home. I advise to make sure your hands are not dry and stiff from the cold weather because it makes a vast difference when trying on rings. When exchanging my size, it was not in stock at the store so she had to make a special order. She informed that it'll take up to 7-10 business days. I was honestly very anxious and nervous because I agreed to make the order before reading the reviews stating their orders took longer than what they were told. My ring took exactly 9 days including the weekends. Sophia contacted me right away to pick up the ring. I was very pleased with the fit and of course the customer service. When I arrived, it was ready and she was so incredibly sweet, kind, professional and eager to assist. I have bought my share of luxury items before, my first in this Cartier location. I am only giving this location 2 stars because I love the jewelry, but the service would receive 1 star. I purchased a love bracelet with the rose gold and ceramic rings on a hot pink silk cord. The sales person that helped me that day was mediocre she didn't do anything extraordinary for me to remember her, probably because I was only purchasing a $1300 bracelet and not a $13,000 one. Now, fast forward 6 months later I had worn this bracelet a handful of times and it looked desheveled. I went back to the store to have it restrung and the sales rep tells me they only stock black cord. So I reluctantly agreed although the reason I purchased it was because of the color. After it was done, I used it maybe once because it didn't have the same appeal in black. I was terribly disappointed, if you are not going to keep on hand this color cord you should inform the customer at the time of purchase so they can make an educated and informed decision before hand. Now maybe $1300 isn't a lot of money to some people, and maybe it's pennies to others. But to myself it's money I worked hard for and to be unhappy with something in part due to the lack of knowledge I couldn't have possibly had unless I worked here is really not right. So I went back and spoke to a sales rep who basically shot me down on hopes for an exchange. After I insisted she brought me over to the manager. This woman looked at me as I was a lowly peasant that she could care less about, like I was a stain on her day and couldn't wait to be rid of me. She offered to restring the bracelet again on black, what is that going to do? I was willing to drop another 3 grand to make myself happy but they weren't having that. So i contacted cooperate who really only offered me to go to 5th ave where they have a dozen different colors on hand to have the bracelet restrung. Stinks to have had to take an hour train ride into the city just for that but what stinks worse is the snobby attitude at this location. At these prices, I would only ever go to the 5th Avenue store where at least there they don't look down on you. Wanted to change the color of the rope When I went in they looked at it and didn't know how to tie the new cord on because it was an "old model"... Worse experience! Buying wedding bands should be a happy/exciting moment but it wasn't at Cartier Manhasset! The service was terrible. We went in tonight to purchase wedding bands but they did not carry the men's version so I decided I would see if they had the womens one I found online. One sales person was busy and there were 2 other sales women there that didn't even bother/attempt to help us after waiting 15 mins I decided it was time to go. The only person paying us any mind was the security guy who was the only nice person in that place because he kept apologizing because we were waiting so long. I was rethinking going to the flagship store until I read the review here so I'm glad they made up for the poor service at the Manhasset location because I really loved the rings we chose. I bought a wedding band here and promised me can get it in 7-10 days. But actually wait for 1 month. During this month, no one contact me, no information about my ring. And every time I call the sales person, she always said will call me back asap, but every time I wait for several hours and still no response. Finally I got the ring and want to exchange the size, and things happen again. The whole shopping experience is horrible. Definitely not gonna shop here again.
