Went there to have my train horn wired up and it turned into a nightmare. They came back to me when they were done telling me that my compressor was bad. so I didn't think too much of it and asked the company I bought the horn from for a replacement compressor. the guy who wired it up was super confident that he did everything right, but he didn't... I got the new compressor and figured I would hook it up myself since there were only 2 wires for the compressor. I got done and it still didn't work. To double check I disconnected those wires and took the battery out of my truck and touched the compressor wires to the battery and of course the compressor kicked on. So I went back to have them fix the wiring job they did then they came back and said the tank wasn't filling with air and that I probably needed a new pressure switch. I couldn't believe it and walked to the parking lot to inspect it myself. And the valve to let air out of the tank was open. No shit it wasn't filling up with air. I closed it and the tank filled and the horn honked. pretty embarrassing when the customer figures out the problem. read more

I needed to upgrade my stepsons car stereo, to be Bluetooth and navigation capable. The main reason why was for his safety, to enable him to have hand free operation while using his phone in the car! Walked into the store in Coolspring, and was greeted by Jerry one of the product specialist, explained what I wanted to do, and he was extremely helpful. Started with the lowest priced unit I would need but, was also still a good quality option. We picked out the unit I wanted to go with, booked a time slot for the fitting which was three day later, I doped the car at 9am job was completed by 12.30pm. I have been here several times now, and all of the guys have helped me thoroughly. They helped me get what I need and they have told me what's the best-of-the-best products and they have taken good care of my Jeep when installing new products. I just dropped my Jeep off for a new Speaker system to be installed. When looking for the parts to put in my Jeep, Adam helped me and told me what the best products were, the intermediate parts and the not-so-great parts. Adam helped me and now he is saying that, "You don't even realize how great your Jeep is going to sound." In which, every time he says this, it gets me more excited to know my Jeep is in good hands and will sound the best after it's done. Def. recommend this place. read more

I had a Sirius radio installed and when I drove off with the car, I realized my air system was not working. Then I started noticing more things were wrong- the tire pressure light and air bag sensors were flashing, the radio dashboard stopped working, the steering wheel controls stopped working, the sunroof wouldn't open, the blinkers on the dashboard stopped working. Not only was I getting hot in the car with no air, but I didn't know if it was safe to have a passenger in my car with the airbag sensor flashing. When I took it back the next day and explained that they must have done something to the electrical system, they said that they hadn't touched it. They blamed it on having to connect to an old bluetooth system that had been previously installed. I explained that not only have I had that bluetooth system for 10 years with no problems, but also that these problems started the second I picked up the car from them. They tried to get me to come in the next day, but at this point, I had already taken time off of work to resolve the problem. I persisted and they took the car. I waited for it for 2.5 hours until finally they had fixed the problem. I asked for some sort of a refund or discount due to having to take my entire morning off of work to get this fixed and they said they couldn't do it because it wasn't their fault. While the staff were courteous and friendly, I didn't appreciate that they didn't take responsibility, nor did they try to compensate me. I spent $500 there, the least they could have done was discount some of the labor hours. I understand people make mistakes and I appreciate that they fixed it, but not apologizing, taking responsibility, or discounting my bill is not how you take care of your customers. read more

Jerry Hayes took his time to not only answer my questions but demonstrated many of the features that the previous company never took the time to show me. He also made some recommendations on how they could make the sound even better in my jeep. I thought about it for a couple of days and then went back to Jerry who worked up a quote for me and got me scheduled for the next day. Installation of the amp and new speakers were done flawlessly, professionally, and on time as promised. I couldn't have wished for a better experience! Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2004 Pioneer Apple CarPlay retrofit. A really excellent experience, and thank you Andy, Jordan and team at Cartronics. The PCM had finally packed up. It would sometimes start after 5 mins, and then in the end not at all. A bit of Googling led me to Cartronics, and a call soon had me at their shop in Brentwood with the unit being examined. It was not straight forward as, typically, the thing started working 5 mins before I got there, and then would not stop working. We let it cool for an hour, and sure enough it would not come on again with the ignition. I had also had that warning message on occasions "System error: Amplifier, CD Changer, Phone not available" which could always be fixed with a "1,4,8" reboot, but they said that this could be complex as something could be wrong with any of those items or the wiring to them. Andy charged £95 to take it out and then another £75 (I think) for the diagnosis charge. Some 48 hours later they told me over the telephone that the motherboard had gone and it would be about £900 to fix. Fair enough, and I believed them as it has been going wrong for the past 5 years. While in the shop, my attention was drawn to a Pioneer Apple CarPlay and having initially baulked at the price for a Pioneer Navigation Unit (about £1600 fitted) I did a bit of research and realised that it was futile to spend £1000 and reinstall 2004 technology that might still have problems, when for £1600 I could leapfrog 14 years to 2018 technology! Doing my research, I realised that this is not a straight-forward job (I have the Bose system, which operates off fibre optic MOST), but looking at the pictures of past Cartronics jobs of Cayennes on the web, I was convinced. Then why not go for the top of the range and get the 7" capacitive screen with the Pioneer AVIC-Z910DAB rather than the AVIC-Z710DAB which has a 6.2" screen and slightly tacky looking buttons on the side. They were able to do it at no notice. We had the discussion on Friday as to what I would do, and the job was done on Monday - they had all the parts. I needed to take the car in for a whole day, and for anyone doing that, particularly if you can work on the move, go to the Tesco Cafe, about half a mile north, where you get decent food and 240v! I sat there all day which was fine. When I got back, I was very happy. Jordan took me through the system which was all new to me, and showed me how to link the Apple CarPlay to my iPhone. It was easy to get the hang of. The quality of the fittings was excellent, and they had even taken the trouble to put in a Porsche splash-screen (what you see when it boots up). So I now have Apple CarPlay, a DAB radio, a fairly good navigation system (integral to the Pioneer, not Apple Maps on CarPlay which is hopeless as we all know). Apple-watchers say that when iOS 12 comes out (anticipated September 2018) Apple CarPlay will allow us Waze and GoogleMaps...maybe even TomTom Go? I also get 2 USB ports in the centre cubby (recommend that rather than the passenger cubby) and an 3.5mm Aux lead. The car was in pretty good shape considering where these guys went...the centre consul, the boot for the amp, the front left windscreen cover for the DAB areal and then by the mirror for the microphone. Really no telltale signs. Could anything have been done better? Not really. It took a moment to change the button colours to the orange to suit the Cayenne, while a very minor criticism is that the Porsche Spash Screen they used was a little tacky and nothing like the orignal. To get the original, just put "Porshe Cayenne splash screen" into Google, and you'll find it - do a screen capture (Shift+Cmd+F4 if you have a Mac), save it as a jpeg file under a folder that you name "Pictures", pop it on a USB stick or SD card, and shove it in to the Pioneer...go to settings, theme settings, splash screen, custom, and you are there - and you will have something identical to the original. Another tip is to use a clean USB/SD card and not one with other stuff on it as then it may not be able to find it. Total bill was £1900 all told (inc. the initial £95 and off-setting the diagnosis charge)...and assuming everything continues to work fine, money very well spent. When I finally come to sell the car, this has probably increased its value. I should add that everyone was charming, kind, helpful which we take for granted nowadays, but is not always the case. Got the top of the line tint on my 14 Ram. I went in with a lot of questions and spoke with Rick and he answered every one and never once did I feel rushed. I ended up getting all the windows and the windshield done. He gave me a great price and we scheduled the appointment for the following Wednesday when they install tints at that location. Dropped it off that day and unfortunately due to the below freezing weather temps, they did not feel comfortable installing the tint on the windshield. He apologized and since I would have to return on a warmer day, he would make an exception and make any day I chose work. He gave me his personal number and told him to text him a couple days in advance and he would schedule it. I texted him on a Sunday asking if I could bring it in the following Tuesday and he set it all up. This level of customer service is rare, and it has made me a customer for any upgrades I need done. You can't go wrong with doing business here, you might find cheaper prices elsewhere but you will not find better customer service read more

I will never ever go there again. Awful service. Rude! Extremely overcharged. I had to get a bulb in my tail light replaced and didn't have time to do it myself. They told me it be quick and inexpensive. I had to wait over an hour before they started (with no other customer in front of me) and got charged $89. They had attitude. They were rude. Went in last week about adding an auxiliary input to a late model SUV. Guy presented me with options ranging from a $20 plug to a $300 stereo revamp. I had no idea about the $20 option and was prepared to pay $200. The honest, no pressure environment he created means that when I am ready for a new stereo in wife's car and a Viper remote start in this car, that I will 100% be coming back to this location for it. read more

I purchased new speakers and a Amp in January. I have been back 3 times for static in rear speakers. Today i went back to get this problem resolved and I told them it was the same thing over and over. Jerry said,"hey, its electronics, they have problems sometimes." The manager was great, working me in then keeping me informed every step of the way! they priced matched for me the system, and also when he wasn't sure if the product would work for my car he called me and told me he was checking into it before installing it on my car!! ( that's how it should be don't install it if it's not going to work properly) he made all the calls for me and kept me informed the whole way!! It was just perfect. I drive a 2005 red ford mustang and I love my car so I'm more than happy to let this great company and Tyler work on my car anytime I need it. . The cost wasn't bad at all! I went to Cartronix on carothers yesterday. I had a device in my car that basically wouldnt allow me to start my car due to a problem the devices manufacturer caused. I was told i just wouldnt have a car for two days!! After a 2 hour nightmare of a situation (NOT caused by Cartronix) trying to call customer service of this device we finally had to give up. Cody White was amazing! Doing everything he could to get the company to get me out of this situation. He really went above and beyond to try and help me. As I had meetings schedule all day the next day at work and would be without a car. Cody even gave me a ride home. As my phone had died and was basically stranded! I would recommend this location 100%. As for the other company that I got the device from,, they are horrible! read more

Installed an amplifier and sub 4 years ago in my teenage son's Jeep Grand Cherokee. Cartronics did a great job on the installation - fair price and quality work. The amp recently burned out and my son, who is now a soph in college, was just interested in getting a functioning radio. I spoke with Kendall (I believe he is the area manager). He was very helpful. He gave me the option of hooking the original jeep equipment back up or a very good price on a new amp. We decided to just go back to the original Jeep setup. Thanks to Jerry and his team for the great job they did on installing back-up sensors on my Passat. They work well and I feel safer backing up. I checked several places closer to where I live and the service departments were not helpful and the price was not acceptable for this type of installation. Jerry quoted me a price that was reasonable and I drove about 86 miles from where I live to Brentwood, TN for them to install the sensors. read more

I've been to this location about three times and every single time the attendant (don't know his name, He's bald) was very rude to me. He always seems angry and annoyed. I will never go back to this shop strictly because of him. This time I asked if they were busy and the attendant looked around the store rolled his eyes and said "I couldn't get you in for a week". I told them that they seemed very expensive and that electronic express will do the same job for less than half of cartronics cost. The attendant responded with "well why don't you go there" and I told him politely that they were much closer but he just rolled his eyes again. This man should be fired. Moral of the story is that if you want car audio done right and much less expensive go to the electronic express on white bridge road. The car installer there is one of the best in the state and will do right by you. Also, they said they could get me in the next day. NEVER GO TO THIS CARTRONICS!!!!! read more
