Glad Carvel franchise is starting in Southwest Florida. This Carvel franchise opened late last year but never had the opportunity to visit this location. Today, after two hours of sweating workout, I walked in this Carvel franchise. The place is clean with freezers on one side of the wall loaded with ice cream cakes, flying saucer and other goodies. The smiling staff fixed me a soft serve Strawberry Sundae. I sit on one of three red tables and slowly enjoy my sundae! Now I got a new motto, "More workout, More Sundae" or maybe "Today Carvel, tomorrow Salad". read more

What! Carvel Ice Cream shop opened in Summerlin Crossings mall. I have not had Carvel Soft serve for more than 2 decades. The shop is small with 4 inside red tables but clean and a sitting bench outside. The left side had several freezers full of ice cream cakes, flying saucers and other sweet treats. We had a vanilla and a chocolate/vanilla swirl. Staff is friendly with a perfect smiling face! BTW, Wednesday is BOGO sundae! Give yourself a treat and have a Carvel soft serve or a sundae.! read more

Wow! Best ice cream around and certainly worth the stop! The shop itself is very clean! The worker/owner was super sweet and engaging with us. He made us feel very welcome inside. We opted for the Biscoff cookie sundae "dasher." It was so good with all of the different layers of deliciousness. Biscoff cookies are one of my favorites so I knew I would enjoy this treat with the flavored custard ice cream and the cookie crumbles layered with caramel and whipped cream. Yum!! read more

We had never been to a Carvel before, I wanted a dasher but could tell it would be too much to eat so I got a hot fudge sundae & it was DELISH. They only had 4 chairs at one table so seating inside is very limited. The dipped cones looked really good, some other customers in there had them. Would highly recommend this establishment. read more

I've been there a few times and the last time I got some kind of a peanut butter cup with vanilla ice cream and dollop of fresh peanut butter It was absolutely amazing and delicious. I'm glad that one of my favorite ice cream chains have made its way down South! As soon as the place opened, I was first in line. Everything about the establishment was great. The ice cream was fresh and tasty, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the place was very, very clean. They have a huge selection of both hard and soft flavors, so anything you're looking for, they'll have. Would highly recommend the visit to Carvel. I know I'll be back soon! read more

I started eating Carvel at ten years old! Best soft serve ice cream in the world. I just recently found out that a Carvel Opened up in Ft Myers. I called and spoke to Tony to verify this. The last time I had a Carvel Ice cream was over twenty years ago. Yesterday I was in south Ft Myers and stopped in for a pistachio milk shake. I met Tony (Great guy!) and he made my shake. It was best shake I've had in years! I'm looking forward to when his new store will open in Cape Coral. Wow! Prices have gone up in the decades since we've purchased from Carvel (up north). 3 stars for the new Carvel on Summerlin Road. It being so new, the store is still super clean. However, there's enough space where you can stand by the reader board on the right and see what the prices are per ice cream you want, or turn left into the freezers and pick out prepackaged goodies. The counter in front of you is where the ordering magic happens and you get to see what the ice cream looks like and what style of cone you want if that's what you'd prefer. It was slightly busy when I walked in, for the middle of the (week)day. I guess people want to see what the fuss is about as well as reminisce about their favorites of the past. Fudgie the whale may be on everyone's mind, but since when is a six pack of Flying Saucers (ice cream sandwich) $11.99?? It used to be half that! Individually packaged single Saucers are $2.29 for price comparison, so you're better off with the half dozen. However, I don't want my wallet to start to cry when I purchase a couple packs. The cool thing is they've got prepackaged other options as well, besides the ice cream cakes and sandwiches. There's sundaes, cups and stuff on a stick (ice cream pops). Everything looks delicious and reminds me of my youth. However, I'm not sure I'd make it a habit of coming in and buying anything a lot due to the prices (cakes are upwards of $24.99 for a small). I love the brand but don't love the cost. So I'll limit this special treat to a special time and keep my wallet and taste buds in check. read more

I only like the location on Summerlin on the way to the beach. I hadn't had Carvel ice cream in over 40 years when I grew up in Upstate New York. It's just the same great treat that I remembered! Super treat! read more

As someone from Texas, I never thought I'd find myself in a Carvel, but after my recent visit, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I've made on this trip. I was feeling a bit homesick, missing the familiar comforts of home, and somehow, I ended up here. I usually never write reviews, but something touched me when coming in here. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by this boy with glasses. He had an easygoing, welcoming personality that made me feel like I wasn't just another customer. Seeing that I was indecisive (because, let's be honest, everything on the menu looked amazing tbh), he took the time to ask about my favorite flavors and even recommended a combination I never would have thought of. I ended up with a classic Carvel soft-serve sundae, and let me tell you, it was life-changing. The ice cream was smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweet, SOOOO different from what I'm used to in Texas (and you know what they say, everything is bigger in texas. What stood out the most was the atmosphere. The workers took a moment to chat, asking what brought me here, and when I mentioned I was from Texas, this girl shared stories of other travelers who had stopped by. It was a small moment, but it turned what could have been just another ice cream stop into something truly special. If you're looking for more than just dessert, if you want an experience that makes you feel at home even when you're miles away Carvel is the place to go. Soooo happy to see Carvel opened in Ft Myers!! Definitely worth the 15 minute drive for me! Everything is just like I remembered from when I lived on Long Island..... only better. The business is super clean, everything looks fresh and delicious, making it hard to make a selection! The cakes are all gorgeous, you can see a lot of effort was put into decorating them. They had a special order Miami Dolphins cake on display- it looked amazing! Being from a chocolate loving family, they took a special order from me for an all chocolate turkey cake for Thanksgiving. Score!! On this trip they made me a fresh chocolate brown bonnet - so delicious, and they were very generous with their swirls! The tables outside were nice to sit at and enjoy the treat. I am also happy to see that they have the same special I enjoy when I visit New York - BOGO Sundaes on Wednesdays - a great day to stock up!! Made my husband's birthday cake and it looked so fun and was delicious! The Condo friends gobbled it up and some came back for seconds.

Had a fantastic Fudgie the Whale cake today. We will be back. I have waited a long time to try it and it was fantastic.

Very excited to now have my all-time favorite soft serve ice cream available in Fort Myers! If you're from New England you know Carvel. Staff was friendly, the store nice and clean. This is their "soft opening" no pun intended so I'm hoping that they have some more seating options when they get to their grand opening. 10/10 recommendation! read more
