Despite us having booked the truck for the full 1.5 hours, the operator decided to leave early on his own accord without asking our input on it. When it came time to settle the payment, we had to pull funds directly from our charity collections to pay the full booking fee (which is fine except communication with this company grew increasingly difficult and we only had a check for the full time amount not knowing if his charity event fee would be lower then the listed price). We asked if we could pay at a later date since we were only at the half time mark, but the operator insisted on being paid immediately, telling us that he would 'remember' to give us a break next time. The day after the event, we reached out to see if he would honor that 'break' by applying the 45 minutes he didn't work toward a future Teacher Appreciation Luncheon (where he would still be making money from individual sales). He refused, insisting that because we booked two time blocks, we must pay for both, even though he chose to leave our event early.
