We were visiting Tallahassee and needed a last minute clean for a stain in an outfit for an event . We passed by Carver Cleaners while driving and stopped here. Customer service was excellent (on this day) and they were able to do the job in time. The price was very reasonable for the quick turn around. When we returned to picked up the outfit , it was a different individual at the counter and we were not greeted even after we said hello and the stain was still very visible. The young lady advised that they only "washed" the item and didn't attempt the "stain removal". (Not sure why). It was what was requested at drop off. It was nothing that could be done about it, so we left and purchased a new outfit. read more

I procrastinated my dry cleaning in South Florida and I believe it was a wise decision. I paid $55 and change for five items, all sweaters and heavy winter jackets. Price was beyond reasonable. This easily would have been 2-3 times as much back in South Florida. As far as quality goes, no complaints. All my items were perfectly cleaned. In fact, they had everything done within a day or so. I just took my sweet time to pick up everything. I don't really have anything negative to say. That said, why not five stars if I would return whenever I need something dry cleaned? Probably because while they did a great job, I wasn't mind blown. Maybe with time, they'll wow me to that extent. read more

This review is really 3.5 stars. Pros: 1) quick turnaround on clothes, 2) everyone is nice, 3) clothes appear to be clean, 4) good prices. Cons: 1) Why do they have to put a number tag in each item and use TWO staples to staple it to your tag? I can't leave it in because the staples scratch me, so every time I pick up clothes from the cleaners, I have to spend 20 minutes removing the staples. 2) I brought in a sweater with a stain, and she noted it. When I picked it up, it had a note saying "pre-stained". And the stain was still there. So I used some stain spray and washed it myself, and the stain came out. I wish they had done so. read more

Monroe) an was looking for a near by professional dry cleaners to patronize...(which was my first experience with Carver') I walked in, an was eventually & nonchalantly greeted, witha discouragingly and (sarcastic smile) "hello, we dont DO leather jackets!"...no friendly encouragement to come again or please bring in other items that might need dry cleaning, just a crass "NO we dont do leather jackets". I thought to myself, woww, that was unprofessional, she didnt know if I needed other garments dry cleaned or not, but I also thought, I dont need to return to see if Carver' will attempt be professional or not, I will take my business/time and ((money)) elsewhere, because they present themselves shiftless & nonchalant, Are they going to treat my clothes, the same way?? And my humble opinion is, as the ole saying goes: FIRST impressions are everything, you dont getta second chance and I WASNT impressed. Fast and convenient. $2.50 for a mans dress shirt seemed a little expensive but it didn't break the bank.

I'm tired of wasting money on Carver's poor quality dry cleaning services. Most of my business shirts have to be fixed at home with an iron or steamer because they've pressed wrinkles and odd folds into the fabric. I brought the issues to management's attention and gave them multiple chances to fix the shirts, but they prefer to lose customers than rectify their mistakes. Stay away from both locations, Monroe and Southwood, if you value customer service and quality work. read more

Not the best quality cleaners. The price keeps going up for poor quality. Its a gamble each time if your clothes will come back right. If you only need a basic garment you may be fine. However, the owner is rude with customers, so if you have a problem he is not willing to work with you. read more

I went to Carver's Cleaners located at 3551 S Blair Stone Rd #115, Tallahassee, FL 32301 to let the Manager Don know I had an issue with my dress and skirt that was damaged at the business. I calmly and quite kindly asked him to explain the process for their dry cleaning services, because I was not pleased that my new skirt and dress (only worn once) had pet hair (I have no pets), wool, lent, and red dye on them. He explained to me that "sometimes those things happen" because the cleaners washes all the clothes together and could not pay special attention to individual garmets ( I thought that's why you bring clothes to a cleaners...for special attention). When I told him that was not an acceptable response and asked him for a refund per the business's posted policy, he immediately said NO and told me the conversation was done and to leave the premises.When I began trying to take pictures of the posted policy, he then told me he was going to call the cops because I was threatening him. I decided to follow through with Don's rude request to wait outside. The police showed up and informed me that I could file a complaint with the BBB and/or file a civil suit.I was truly in shock how the issue escalated so quickly, because 'Carver's Cleaner Don' wanted to make something out of nothing! This could have ended much differently if I did not keep my composure. It is sad that a manager of a business, has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and picks and chooses when to honor a posted store policy and for whom. I will NEVER support this business again, and I ask that my Tally folks join me in doing the same, if you feel so compelled. This is by far the best and least expensive dry cleaner that I've experienced in the Tallahassee area! They don't use starch, but they do press your clothes well. If you want your clothes to be starched, they have a locations across the street that's a little more expensive that can handle that! The dry cleaning runs about 2.25-2.95 per item and for 5 items (including a suit) I only paid a little over 15 dollars! This is my go to place for dry cleaning! And to make things even better, if you drop your dry cleaning off by 10 AM on Saturdays, you can pick it up the same day! read more

Tally's best cleaners. The fastest and most affordable dry cleaning service in the city. Since they do the dry cleaning in house, it's super fast. If you drop off clothing before 10am, it will be ready for pick up that same afternoon at 4pm. Also, you can't beat the prices. For example, I dropped off two dresses, a pair of men's slacks and a men's button down and it was $10. You can't beat Carvers. read more

This is worst dry cleaners I've ever used and by far the worst customer service from the owner...he hung up on me but before hanging up he tells me that he could clean them again but he would have to charge me.....um no I just need your employees to do their job and it's your responsibility as the owner to see to that. The owner argued me down about a stain that was not in my clothes before dropping off to his establishment to get starched and collars cleaned. The owner told me the stains came from cologne... (I dont wear cologne on my stomach-try again!) I went to the establishment 4 times in total clothes still not clean. I've got 2 stain still my shirt is ruined. He tells me to "tell who ever you need to tell, contact your lawyer" I never threatened him with a lawyer. Had a coat dry cleaned from the Southwood location. After I picked up my coat, I noticed there was a white residue around the collar. I bought it to the owners attention & he basically told me you get what you get by using their economical cleaners versus a cleaners like Blue Ribbon Cleaners, which cost more. He recommended to have it redone at my expense or use some type of stain cleaner prior to having clothes cleaned. I didn't think I should have to do either because I thought the process of dry cleaning was to clean a garment, especially if there was no permanent stains, which it appears it wasn't a permanent stain. I felt undermined as a customer & no recourse was going to happen in speaking with this owner. Poor resolution customer service skills. read more

Low cost, low quality. Carver Cleaners is cheap, but ... you get what you pay for. After they "lost" one of my husband's suits some time ago, they did attempt reimbursement, but the reimbursement wasn't even close to the price of the suit. More recently, one of my favorite garments was returned to me VERY damaged, including a large hole ripped in the side of the garment. They did send my garment to a seamstress to fix, but even the fix was wrong. After that, I opted to bring it home and re-do the work myself. If you value your dry-clean-only garments, my advice would be to spend an extra dollar or two per garment and use a different dry cleaning service. It will be well worth it for a quality, professional-looking and undamaged product. read more
