This was my first and last time using this cleaner. This is the worst of the worst place to carry your clothes to be cleaned. I took a brand new dress for my class reunion, I called before going to pick up my clothes to make sure they was ready, because they told me it would take two days before I could come and get them after 4pm. I called a little before 2pm to check and the lady said everything was ready except one piece, call back in two hours, and I did. I asked was my clothes ready and she asked me if any of my clothes had spots on them. Then I became concern and drove over there, and the man was at the counter waited on me and had my clothes ready to go. If they could have been honest and told me that someone scotched my new dress in the front, I could have found something else to wear. I didn't know this until I put the dress on. To make a long story short; I sent the dress back to them so they see what they had done and I was told that why would I sent a new dress to be cleaned. All I needed was for it to be pressed. Anyway after 4 days at their cleaners he still haven't gotten to it because he didn't have anything else that color to wash it with. I told my son--law to bring my dress home. No solution for a problem that they created, new dress is a loss to me. There was no apology or resolution taken on their behalf to solve this problem. read more

I have a hard time paying for cleaning that actually makes your shirts dirtier but maybe that's just me. Got my shirts back to discover they obviously hadn't been cleaned and had only been pressed. Took them back and had a lady try to tell me that's the best they could clean but that she would talk to the owner and would follow up. They of course didn't follow up and when I did, said the shirts had been redone. I picked them up this morning to find them worse than when I dropped them off with all sorts of problems. We took a silk tie in to be cleaned. We showed them the spot on the tie and asked if they could remove it. They did not know. What transpired next was not to be believed. First they LOST the tie. After 3 weeks they found it. We saw that the spot was still there. He asked the man about it and he said "we still have to charge you for it...you don't get it back otherwise". SERIOUSLY?? Also, a year ago I took a very nice coat and my gloves were in the pocket. The gloves were stolen. All they had to say was "sorry but the gloves were not listed on the ticket" This place is SHADY & low rent. read more

Horrible service, I warn you people do not bring your clothes there. Not only do they overcharge for their services, but they also ruin my entire clothes. It seems like they washed the clothes with other people's clothes that have a dog. I came in to pick up my clothes the guy give me half of them when I say there are more clothes he says there is no more, I give him the receipt this is when he goes back to search for my other clothes. When he came back he charge me almost $ 300 for 18 peaches of clothing I was shocked that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever encountered in my life. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. I REPEAT: DO NOT. Absolutely the worst customer service you could imagine. My boyfriend called 10 minutes before closing time (6pm) to say that he would possibly be 2 minutes late and to see if that was okay. They were weird to him on the phone and said something along the lines of "well if we leave, we leave." He proceeded to arrive at EXACTLY 6pm - and their doors were locked. He saw someone inside and banged on the door and they walked away and didn't open it. He leaves for a 6 day business trip tonight and now has none of his clothes. I can't imagine a business that would treat customers this way. Do not give this place your business. Use any other dry cleaner in town. read more

Without question, the WORST dry cleaners in this city. If I could give this place a half star, or no stars, I would. It was the absolute worst. I took a dress shirt in a few weeks ago to get a button replaced on one of the cuffs. A simple alteration, nothing more. I even gave them the button in a plastic bag. When I returned the next day, these masters of their craft attempted to return the shirt to me in such a way that leads one only to assume that this establishment is perhaps just an elaborate joke being played on the citizens of Tallahassee. That perhaps this is a front for some clever prank show in which the service is astronomically terrible, and mistakes are made that could only take place if this dry cleaner was, in fact, run by a group of blind toddlers. The buttons were now gone on both cuffs of my shirt. I brought it in for a button replacement, and now there were no buttons at all. Not to mention the numerous wrinkles. Or the huge clamp crease from their machinery. Or the monstrous brown stain right on the front of the shirt, in plain sight. I was completely astounded they even tried to return it to me in this way. Does your business not exist solely on the premise of you cleaning clothes? I explained the numerous problems, and they just acted like they hadn't noticed. Promised to have them fixed the next day. Over the next few weeks I would return to Blue Ribbon Cleaners five more times. Each time the shirt was in some other state of disrepair. The first stain gone, but another had replaced it. No wrinkles, but instead the shirt covered in lint. A few times, they just told me it wasn't ready. No matter that they've had the shirt more than a week. On one occasion, they tried to offer me a pair of cufflinks in place of the buttons. I wanted to say, "Whose cufflinks are these, goddammit?! Some poor bastard left these in his pockets or something, now you're just offering them to me? You people are monsters." I refrained from voicing these thoughts. All the time, the man I can only assume is the manager of this hellhole, was a complete and utter prick. As though it's my fault I've given them a "nightmare shirt," as he called it, each time we spoke. I've just now picked it up today. Still no buttons. They claim there were no buttons on the cuffs in the first place. Still not clean. There is yet another new stain under the collar. And again, the shirt is completely covered in lint. Essentially, I paid Blue Ribbon Cleaners to take my shirt for two weeks and try to ruin it in as many ways as possible. So yea. One star. read more

I dropped off my drapes 3 weeks ago went back to pick up and was told they were not done yet. asked for manager and the young lady up front was extremely agitated and rude. He was equally incompetent, told me I was told they did not do drapes when I dropped off. I would not have left them if that was the case, expensive curtains. I will leave this review by saying I did not do any complaining to the business because I find that to be a waste of time and energy. I take the blame for not being the best consumer, but to protect others that may have the same tendencies I do, this was my experience: I brought in my clothing on a Wednesday night close to closing time. I set my items on the counter, and the woman began to write out a slip. The only thing she said to me, was "you can pick up your clothing Thursday, wait no, since it's so late do you mind Friday?" Which I said was fine. She then handed me my ticket, so I asked if I had to pay, and she said I pay at pick up. This is where I feel that I failed, she didn't count my items, I didn't ask for pricing. I relied on the fact that this was a reputable company in Tallahassee. When I went to pick up my clothing I was told the total was 95 dollars with tax. I was in shock... I had 11 items dry cleaned. 6 pairs of pants, 2 dresses, 3 skirts. My old dry cleaners this would be in the 40 range. Never given an itimized receipt. Again, as a consumer I didn't ask questions I should have, so I am warning everyone else. This place is extremely expensive, the facility is nice, but there business model is off. Count out people's clothing and give an estimate or have people prepay. I don't think they did this for me knowing that they're over priced. read more

DO NOT use this cleaner if you care about your clothes. They ruined a $60 sweater dress by stretching it (length) AND shrinking it. I owned this dress 6 weeks, wore it 3 times and then it was ruined by Blue Ribbon Cleaners. The owner, Mr. Wallenfelsz, was extremely rude and accused me of having an attitude. Well, um, yes I am angry because he ruined a brand new dress and HE had the attitude. This man actually walked away from me and tried to hide in the back of the store rather than try to MEND the relationship with an angry customer. Such a coward.
