They will deny the damage, and act as if your car was already damaged. I took the cheapest route and purchased a used tail light on eBay, but even then, they didn't want to pay for the damage. I won't risk coming back here. It's not worth having something else happen. EDIT: After seeing this review, they contacted me and paid for the light. Vehicle damaged- no accountability!…read more I've been a monthly member at Total Waves Car Wash in Raytown, but after this experience I will not be returning.   On 12/17/25, I went through the car wash as instructed, with my truck in neutral while being moved by their conveyor system. During the wash, my truck was pushed into the car in front of me, and then the car behind me was pushed into the rear of my truck. My vehicle was hit both front and back, resulting in damage, including to the front license plate holder.   From what I observed, the cars were spaced far too closely together. Two cars ahead appeared to have hit their brakes and gone over the roller, which caused a chain reaction where each vehicle was pushed into the one in front of it. Because the cars were under the control of the car wash system, drivers had little to no ability to avoid the collisions.   The manager did create a damage report and reviewed the video, but ultimately claimed the wash was not responsible, stating that a driver hit their brakes and that I should pursue that driver for compensation. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering that once your car is on the conveyor, spacing and safety are the responsibility of the car wash, not individual drivers.   I trusted their system and followed all instructions, yet my vehicle was damaged and they refused to compensate or accept responsibility. If you value your vehicle, be aware that Total Waves Car Wash may not stand behind their equipment or procedures when something goes wrong.
