The drinks were unique, but tasty. We ordered the crab puffs because that's my favorite at any Thai restaurant. They came out in under 5 minutes, and were piping hot. They were good! For my main I ordered the steak drunken noodles and they were so so so good. I couldn't finish it all because the portion was so large, but you better believe it was just as good cold later that night. I would definitely be back. My husband ordered the chili & basil pork and he cleaned his plate - so I'd say it was good. Because it's a popular spot, there is a time limit on your dining experience. Unfortunately, the way the evening ended completely changed our impression of the experience. We had finished our meal, had already told our waiter that we did not want dessert, and were essentially ready to leave when a gentleman approached our table specifically to tell us that we had 15 minutes remaining. It was unnecessary and made us feel as though we were being pushed out when we weren't lingering or preventing the staff from turning the table. I mentioned this on my way out and was told that guests are informed they have 90 minutes to dine. We don't recall having that explained to us, but more importantly, I don't think that should be the defining experience at a restaurant positioning itself as a higher-quality dining destination. There are much more gracious ways to manage table timing, particularly when the guests have already finished their meal and indicated they aren't ordering anything else. We were also celebrating our daughter's birthday and specifically mentioned it to the host when we were seated. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment of her birthday during dinner, which was another missed opportunity to make the evening memorable. It's disappointing because the food, drinks, patio, and our waiter were all excellent. We were prepared to leave thinking we'd had a 5-star dinner. Instead, the final interaction made a wonderful evening feel transactional and turned what would have been a 5-star review into a 3-star experience. A restaurant can serve outstanding food, but the way guests are made to feel is part of the experience too.

It was very tasty. For our appetizer, we opted for the Lobster "Escargot style" (butter poached lobster in an escargot plate, with garlic parsley butter, served with a crostini. It was heaven-like! Never had lobster served this way, but will trust and recreate at home. For my main course, I had the NY steak (Medium rare) enhanced with seared Scallops. For sides we had the Garlic whipped mashed potatoes and the Dutov Thick Cut Bacon. The steak was cooked perfectly, the scallops were seared golden brown and tasted buttery. The mashed potatoes were good , but the Duroc Thick Cut Bacon was out of this world good. I would order this again and again. We paired dinner with a bottle of Sea Smoke Pinot Noir Ten, and it was a perfect pairing. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse if you are looking to impress a client or just treat yourself to a good experience. My partner said the steak sandwich was the best they ever had. The filet was easily the best steak I've ever had though the dry-aged ribeye at Abrasado in Mendoza, Argentina is a close second. The grand martini was a perfect pairing for the chilled seafood. They threw in a complimentary brownie with ice cream for a bday dessert which was appreciated on multiple levels. We're not affluent and a meal like this was definitely a splurge but I have zero complaints and would 100% come back for a comparable special occasion. That's not service... that's arrogance and caught me so off guard I couldn't comprehend where this energy was stemming from. All we did was show up for dinner and we were treated with hatred. My girlfriend went in to address it. Not one staff member asked what happened. No apologies. No attempt to make it right. Just silence and dirty looks. We left without ordering. After sitting there for hours, we still left hungry and somehow had a nearly $700 bill for a couple of sides, two steaks, and drinks. Our server was amazing and did the best he could, but the management and overall level of professionalism were unacceptable. When a guest's order is wrong, management should communicate with the table and make an effort to resolve the problem not simply remove the food without discussing it.
