I placed an online order on May 7, 2026 for delivery on May 9th for a 1 day "early" Hau'oli Lā Makuahine (Happy Mother's Day) bc I knew someone would be home. I had left instructions regarding delivery and it was followed to the "T" -- I had also called to check on the status as I didn't hear anything from my mom. The really sweet and kind woman that answered the phone, informed me that the delivery was made at 9:50am, today. Low-and-behold, I contacted my mom and she was like, "What time?" We drove around town to look for a florist. Many florist shops were closed due to the pandemic. However, we went to Casa Blanca Florist and found they were closed. However, we found a very helpful person, Marisa. She was so helpful and listened to us. She gave us instructions on the best way to place an order. We placed our order and gave instructions on when the service time would be and the cemetery location. We paid and left to travel back home. Today was the funeral. We walked into the chapel area and the flowers were exactly what we ordered. The arrangement was so beautiful. My husband kept complimenting me on the selection I made for his mom. She decorated the church beautifully with 12 of the centerpieces going along the aisle and then transported them to the venue and put them on the tables. You would've never known they were transported! They looked flawless!! Everyone at the wedding kept saying how beautiful the flowers were and everyone wanted to take a centerpiece home! They also did our sweetheart table, welcome table, cake flowers, bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages. We found Marisa through wedgewood weddings and they are a preferred vendor there. I researched flower shops on Yelp as I was trying to find a local florist in the Ventura area to bypass companies like 1800 flowers (yes, I used the zip code to search as I'm not familiar with the area) and Casa Blanca Flowers seemed highly recommended. I placed the order on April 26 and was helped by the friendly staff on picking a bouquet I wanted to send for a birthday gift. I verified with the staff the address it was being sent to was within its deliverable route and she confirmed it was. I placed my order to be delivered on 5/3. The day of I get a phone call from the shop letting me know the address presented was not within their territory and it would be an additional $40.00. Had I known it was going to be such an inconvenience and the day of I would of picked a closer florist. I also wish I was told prior and not right before delivery. read more
