*Quarantine Delivery Review* It was my fiancé's birthday and the Quarantine Birthday Boy wanted Cuban food, so that's what we ordered. Unfortunately, there were not a lot of Cuban options delivering to our area. It was between this place, and another one we had tried before, which was meh - so we decided to give Casa Cubana shot. Unfortunately, most of the things were not hot when it arrived because it took longer than the quoted one hour delivery time. We ordered: Chicharron de Pollo - nice flavor but a little on the salty side. They should probably also pick a different packaging for it because it was no longer crispy when it arrived Camerones el Ajillo - not much garlic flavor Albondigas - meatballs were nice and tender but again, a little too salty Lechon Asado (with yellow rice) - pork was tender, no complaints here Paella Valencia - wasn't a fan of the seafood Cubano - the pork was a bit dry and had a leftover-y taste. I liked the fresh plantain chips that it was served with though We also ordered some extra sides: black beans, yuca frita, and maduros. I normally don't love maduros but I really like these. Even more than the yuca frita (which is my typical go-to side) Overall, I would say the meat dishes are good, but the seafood ones are not that great. I also liked that they had all these small dishes, tapas style - so that we got to try a lot of different things, without breaking the bank or eating too much. I don't know if they can adjust their salt levels. Since they have 'Catering' in their name, I assume they make everything in large batches. But if they can, I wouldn't mind giving it another try. read more

Had an event at work that was catered by Casa Cubana and lucky for us, we got the works. I tried two of the three empanaditas: chicken and mushroom, both were as delicious as they were cute. The one I didn't try was spinach and cheese which I heard was also tasty. Although not seasoned enough, the shrimp skewers were still good as were the mini Cuban sandwiches. The lechon was kind of dry and so I preferred the ropa vieja. Most of the sides were good, but unfortunately the maduros were subpar. Perhaps it was because i hadn't eaten them immediately. I have eaten from here several times and at every event I become more impressed. There are too many menu items to mention. I can guarantee every selection is delicious but display makes it even more appetizing. The photos on the website do not even give justice to the array of food presented when they cater an event. If you are catering a large party, a small dinner party, or dinner for two, you won't be disappointed. The entire process of catering the food is well executed. Completed with an appetizing presentation. I wish I took photos of the food, but everyone was too excited to eat. Top notch from the moment they arrived. You will be treated as if you are someone special no matter how busy they are. Diana is highly attentive and she makes sure every detail is met. She helps you make your menu suggestions based on your input and her experience. She plays a role in every step of the process. I had an excellent experience. They arrived on time. The Food was hot and the portions were large. They were so efficient setup was in minutes. They had everything needed which took the pressure off me. Name tags for all Items and serving utensils were placed appropriately on the display. They have perfected the Clean up process with their self contained trays so clean up is super efficient. Don't forget to order dessert because they offer the most delicious creamy flan to complete this beautiful dining experience. Diana, Gerardo and their entire staff possess the talent, dedication and organization for success. Once you eat this food you will leave with a taste of Cuba that will have you coming back for more. Terrible pick up experience. I was not told anywhere after ordering that the cracked window on the side of the building is where pick up takes place. I kept walking back and forth to the front door and the side "express" entrance. I even looked into this window a few times and no one was there. I called the restaurant FOUR times and no one picks up. Finally grub hub calls me to see where I am. I tell them I'm outside waiting. They tell me to stay there and they will call the restaurant to let them know I'm outside. I wait. No one comes out . I call grub hub back and finally someone pops up at the express store then goes to the window. I ask where my order is. The person says it's here and doesn't bother to give it to me right away. I tell him I have been waiting with my baby in the cold. I'm already late just give me my order so I can leave. He keeps trying to talk despite all this and says that the driver never came to pick up. There was never a driver! This was always a pick up order. What was he even talking about? After this whole ordeal I get a voice message from another person from The restaurant saying that she heard I was upset but it was a delivery problem and not the restaurant. She didn't even look to see it was a pick up order. So yes it was the restaurant's failure to communicate 1: where to pick up the order, 2: answer phone calls from clients, and 3: be present at the pick up window to assist. Especially when all the doors were locked. The place practically looked closed. Would never order from here again. LASTLY, the number listed on Yelp isn't even the correct number. read more

Not knowing what to expect we looked online for reviews and photos. The food was good but small portions. The empanadas are 3 mini empanadas for the price. They were deep fried and a bit oily. We ordered from Casa Cubana for Thanksgiving with the option to pick-up. Our selections were individual ham and turkey dinners plus a la carte items and desserts. What a lifesaver considering we are in a pandemic and couldn't have the traditional family gathering this year, but wanted to eat well. We were pleased beyond our expectations! We enjoyed baked ham, roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans, sautéed veggies, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy plus the original tres leches and pumpkin tres leches. We also ordered black beans and yucca con mojo. Everything was delicious, generously portioned, packaged well and priced right. Ordering was simple, organized: we were able to call in our order and pay online. We are so pleased with the service, the deliciousness of the entire meal, and the overall experience. And let me tell you, it is not easy to please an entire Latino family (who can also throw down in the kitchen) but EVERYONE had nothing but praise for the food. Seasoning and portions were on point. It was more than enough food, and for some major meat eaters - everyone raved about the mushroom croquetas. I ordered five separate trays and the food was good, but it wasn't great. I placed an order for pickup and by the time we ate, it must've only been within the hr of placing the order and the garlic shrimp was a little soggy and the food was a little room temperature, the yucca specifically wasn't as fresh as we would've liked. Other than that, the empanadas were delicious and juicy, the guacamole and chips were perfect. I guess it makes sense when you're catering, but still, the condensation from the heat in the tray made the yucca feel stale in a way. read more

Diana was the MOST caring, professional, and trustworthy person a girl could ask for. They are a family owned business and the warmth was felt. Every single thing I tried was absolutely delicious! She even included dessert which I ended up needing for my wedding after I tried it. But let's go back to the day of. The staff of 5 servers and a manager were ready for every single transition and they were extremely professional and kind. For cocktail hour, they served mushroom croquetas, beef and spinach empanadas, ceviche de camarones and steak pinchos. Everythingggg was amazing. They were so considerate, they made sure we had cocktail hour food through pictures and also delivered a plate full to our table as well! The reception food was served buffet style. It was hot which is a big thing for me! We had pork, shrimp, and chicken and for the sides, we had yellow rice, congri, yuca, maduros, salad, and veggies. Again, the team made sure we had our food served and even took it a step further and remembered my wife is a pescatarian. The details!! I didn't have the best of luck with some of my other vendors but that's ok because Casa Cubana really showed up and absolutely exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Decided to have a party for my boyfriend, last minute on a Friday. Contacted Casa Cubana on Wednesday and received an email with the menu and different catering options. Contacted Diana with the selections and received a prompt response. She was always so quick to respond and assist me with any questions I had. The food was delivered at the exact time expected. Chicken empanadas were so salty i felt i was eating a brick of salt in greasy coating. Beef empanadas tasted like some ingredients were spoiled. The worst dinner I have ever had. Let me begin by saying this will be a lengthy review but nonetheless well worth it. It all started when my family and I decided to order Cuban food through Uber Eats. We searched and found this place so we decided to try it. Wow, their food was right on point, however, there was a misunderstanding regarding one of the orders so I decided to call the restaurant to advise them of it. I spoke to Gerardo( one of the owners of this family owned business). He was very nice and professional to say the least. He went out of his way to make sure that my family and I were pleased with their food so he asked what was my favorite dish and anyone else in my house as well. He said he would bring all the food to me the following day which was my birthday. When he arrived I noticed on the outside of the bag they wrote...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Mind you all this was free of charge. I don't know Gerardo or his family personally but I will say I was very impressed and grateful of the humble gesture , but from one CUBAN to another I understood his generosity. The baked chicken was done just right juicy and tender. The arroz con pollo tasted so delicious just like my late mom would make it. The plátanos maduros were cooked to perfection not greasy and tasted freshly cooked. The congris again tasted like my mom's cooking.
