A very homey spot serving authentic and delicious Mexican dishes! The inside is way bigger than the outside lets on. Staffs were very friendly. You can immediately tell that this is a local favorite. Everyone who came in spoke Spanish. We tried a few tacos, a soup, and the mole enchiladas. We loved how they use freshly made tortillas! Super fresh and fluffy. For the tacos, I liked the Asada the best between that and the Chicken Mole. Wished they have Al Pastor for us to try. The Mole Enchiladas were filled with shredded chickens. The mole itself was tasty. The Lengua Soup that we got was a hit. Full of tender lengua pieces. The broth itself is very savory and meaty, great for the cold weather. read more

This restaurant seems to have changed hands several times. On our last visit food was just average, nothing to bring me back anytime soon. All tables were dirty when we arrived yet the restaurant was empty. Menudo was lacking flavor and could benefit from being a little more tender with smaller pieces. Would have preferred the temperature of the menudo to be hotter when we recieved it was pretty much eat ready with no need for cooling. The caldo de res on the other hand was a better choice nice big chunks of meat and had better flavor. read more

Stopped in here because of the good reviews and I have to say I agree. I got the menudo and 2 tongue tacos. I am VERY PICKY about menudo and caldos being their specialty I came in with high expectations. They serve it with hand made tortillas which is how it should be. I think it was GOOD but I have had better. AGAIN I am picky. But the tongue tacos were flavorful and they were very generous with the portions. My husband tried the caldo de lengua which def sounds iffy but let me tell you he LOVED it. We had never tried that before but he is happy he did. DONT hesitate and try it! I also loved the decor and the vibe, the place was PACKED but we didn't have to wait long for our food. The service was also very good, the cashier even offered samples which I thought was very kind. I came here on my birthday because I wanted soup. I did my homework, and had it stuck in my head that I wanted "Caldo do Cameron" (shrimp). I have had menudo and pozole, I wanted something different. The soup was amazing. I don't care that I had to peel my shrimp; this is not my house. What blew me away was the tortillas. I know people have said they were made to order, but it was fun to stand at the counter while I'm ordering and watch them do it. And they were thicc!! I had I think every taco and here is how I viewed them: Mole: Lighter on the chocolate, best I have ever had. Asada: Perfect Al pastor: Beautiful Lengua: I loved it. Not too much seasoning to overpower the fact you are eating tongue. For the first time, I got flavor over texture. Chicken: Didn't have any flavor, seemed like boiled chicken. Every year after visiting the tulips I go for authentic Mexican. I couldn't remember the name of the place I visit once a year and couldn't find it on Yelp so I picked this place I couldn't finish my mole taco because it was too spicy, I can't hold that against them. Mole sauces come in all varieties of spiciness. I just happen to prefer mine smokey or with more subtle hints of spice and chocolate. I could tell everything was made fresh. The meat in my über spicy taco was very tender. The tortillas we got, my corn tortilla was soft and very flavorful. My friend's flour tortilla for her quesadilla was also very soft, pliable and she attests, was very delicious. Service was friendly and bilingual. It felt like it was a very authentic Mexican restaurant. Me and my best friend were the only ones speaking English. It was nice. The place was spacious, 4 booths, too many 4 tops for me to remember. It would be good for groups. I'm not sure if I'll go back next year after the tulips as the menu seems to be a little spicy for mi delicada pallet. But I loved the authenticity. So who knows. The quesadilla with birria y consume was delicious. It was so good we couldn't stop for a picture. The tortillas are handmade, the quesadillas are stuffed with so much meat and the portion of the consume was more than enough. We also had tamales de rajas, the masa was cooked perfectly, not dry at all. Not only is the food amazing but the customer service is top notch. The best place to get a quesabirria. The tortillas are hand made, which many other places will be store bought tortillas. I'd rate this dish a 9.3 out of 10, the consomé was a bit thicker but flavorful. Only downside is it's only available on Friday. read more

Had lunch here today. Small little shop in the small town of Woodburn, Oregon. Walk-in place was packed instantly a good sign!! Placed my order of caldo de res and enchiladas de mole. I wanted the caldo but had to taste the enchiladas. Food was delicious a bit salty (enchiladas) but over all great. Customer service is great, friendly place. After two weeks on the road I need a good meal! Sadly could not finish it way to much food. Guess my eyes were hungrier than me. Guess I have to go back and try the caldo de lengua!!! Stumbled upon Cass De Caldos last week and I'm glad I did. Nice little taquria style Mexican restaurant. Every thing here is made fresh with excellent ingredients. OK first let me say the owner and staff where so nice. So inviting and made us feel almost like family. I ordered an al pastor burrito and a chicken tamale. My mom ordered the chicken tacos with rice and beans. The burrito was omg giant- had rice, pinto beans, AL pastor meat, a little lettuce etc. It had a really good flavor and so fresh tasting. The meat was tender, the rice was good and everything else tasted great. But let me say the flower tortilla was hand made and omg it was so Damn good. It put this burrito over the top. The tamale was good, fresh made and we'll seasond. I of course went to the salsa bar they had and added there great salsa to my burrito and tamales My mom said her chicken tacos where very good. Chicken was tender shredded chicken. Again fresh and we'll made ingredients. Again she said the hand made tortilla was an exclemation mark on the meal. She also liked that the pinto beans where whole and not refried, an extra touch to keep it very fresh tasting.
