Bravo! This was exactly what I wanted 100% authentic Mexican foods. Think the tortillas are house made because these where the softest warmed up tortillas I have had hands down. Had 4 tacos two pastor and two asada those filled the tank. Read some of the yelp reviews before choosing this place for lunch on a work day and I didn't think the staff was rude as much as folks lead on, I actually think it's the language barrier but my order was correct and foods where hot and delicious.

Husband wanted to check out Woodburn and just eat at any hole-in-the-wall. We went on a rainy day. Customers didn't social distance well enough, as they were busy and the place is small. Anyway, we finally got our food after about a half hour wait. And that's fine. If a place is busy, I expect they are popular for a reason. We wanted to eat picnic style but it was raining like crazy, so we sat in our car and ate. I scarfed my food down after the first bite. It was sooooo good. If we go back to Woodburn, we have to eat here again.

As you can see from the photo, I ate the whole damn thing. Chilli Relleno with beans and rice. All gone.

    All the quesadillas!

Drove 45 minutes to try the huetlacoche quesadilla and it was well worth the drive. Best Mexican food I've ever had. I'll be going back as soon as I can!

Real authentic spicy food. For a small venue you can't beat their food. I had a chili reano that was to die for. As you can see, it was so I ate it all. Their food reminded me of the last time I was in Tijuana it is that good!

We are from San Francisco. I have been to many Mexican restaurants there, but this is the best Mexican food I have ever had. Although it's a small place but they have good service and great food! I have to come back here again before heading back home.

My family usually rates Mexican restaurants by the type of cheese they use in their enchiladas, and these people use mostly the traditional cheeses instead of cheddar, so I came here while waiting on my friend. They're reasonably priced and the menu is based on food from Oaxaca Mexico and they made me pupusas in eight minutes and they had lots of flavor Even though I can't remember what all that I ate in Oaxaca they had some of the traditional drinks from the area.

Chicken mole - comes with homemade corn tortillas and chips and salsa to start. Yum

This is our go-to Mexican place in Woodburn and it hasn't disappointed yet…read more Food has always been good, love getting chips, salsa & extra sauces in squeeze bottles. Ice water at the utensil stand. Service was so friendly. There were meats we were unfamiliar with, so the counter staff offered us a small sample. Barbacoa is now my jam! We ordered 4 meals: Chile relleno, tamale special, torta, & enchilada special. The specials are well-priced at under $12. We stopped in about 45 minutes before closing and staff did not rush us out. Nothing fancy ambiance-wise and this place looks similar to other Mex places on Front St. So make sure you're in Luis'!

No business embodies the vibrant Mexican community of Woodburn more so than Luis's Taqueria…read more Located along the strip of businesses on Front Street, this family owned business have been a perennial destination for Michoacan-style Mexican fare for over 3 decades. The first thing folks will notice is the colorful decor of paper piñatas across the ceiling and the spacious digs with lots of 4 top tables for some limited group action. Orders are placed at the counter and the menu is vast enough where there is something to offer for everyone. Some immediate recommendations would be their tamales platter, along with their enchiladas rojas, and their Americanized tacos dorados. Their burritos are especially large and a complete gut bomb for anyone looking for a major filler. Their ceviche tostadas are beautiful, along with their layered tortas, and hearty chimichangas. While I don't love their corn tortillas or the tacos, I would be down to give them another shot. Cabeza and carne asada especially. The prices have crept up over the years, to where many items have hit the sub $10+ range and even tacos are at $3.50 a pop. There is a price to pay for fame, but the only time it should be dinged is if the price no longer matches the quality. Ultimately, this will always be one of the city's most popular lunch destinations and local haunts. It's so well known that Obama has been here (#1) and continues to bring in new faces every week. This is a must visit for any Mexican food lover and especially for first timers in Woodburn. ____________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/luiss-taqueria-woodburn?select=iYjRIeJrLS47keUaG0_vVQ
