I'm not really sure where to begin because the entire experience is 5 stars from the minute you walk in the door, to the minute you leave...I guess I'll break it down this way.. Overall Staff- Every girl who works at Elle is adorable and so friendly. The best part about being a long term client is witnessing the girls who are just starting their careers progress to be rockstar stylists in such a short time. The mentorship, ongoing training and exemplary role models make you want to support this women owned business. Truly every stylist at Elle is so talented. Don't believe me? Peep their Instagram- totally droolworthy. The front desk staff is also so polite, professional, welcoming and complementary. Decor- No tacky art, loud paint or messy bowls/cords. Elle is simple, elegant, clean and modern. Jillian- My all time favorite stylist in the world and primary reason for this post. I walked in to my appointment with Jillian 4 years ago with bronze/black combo box dye hair and she was honest and forthcoming with me about my "hair journey". She promised I would eventually be blonde if I trusted her. She took all necessary steps to make sure I minimal breakage and was pleased with the results every time! Every time I leave the salon, she gives me EXACTLY what I ask for and I LOVE my hair.. As an added bonus, beyond her hair talents she is just all around awesome on all levels. Honorable mention- I have never had my makeup done by Amanda but I stalk the Elle Instagram stories to watch her makeup tutorials because she is a make up god! Someone needs to wife we up purely so she can do my makeup on my wedding day.. I specifically asked for Latayvia and she ensured I was at a sink within a few minutes of my arrival. I left the salon with great smelling hair and my curl pattern looked gorgeous. My Experience- I want to preface my experience by saying: whenever you go someplace new for your hair, it's important to discuss what you like and how you like things done. The stylist can't read your mind and has to learn more about you. The person who washed my hair was very gentle. However, I like a vigorous wash, so I asked if she could dig a bit deeper. Latayvia overheard the conversation and decided to help the young lady. After listening to me, she proceeded to wash my hair the way I preferred. I really appreciated that she didn't insist on doing it her way and was open to hearing what I like. Latayvia maintained a cheerful attitude and made me feel relaxed. By "learning" me, I know that when I return, she'll know exactly how I want my hair done. I highly recommend True Elegance!

I went to their website and it was really easy to navigate and set up an appointment. They have everything from makeup to natural hair care to sew-ins etc. My appt was for 10:30a and once I arrived I was seated right away! Latayvia is so sweet and her co-partner Yiasa was very friendly as well. I felt very welcome. My appointment was with Latayvia and she got my hair RIGHT! The wash was great and she was able to shape it to where my hair can grow back evenly. The salon is very clean, chic, and cozy and in s great (safe) location. Overall I had a great experience, and communication was wonderful with them. Would definitely go back again!
