I've been coming here since the Cigar Inn days. I've been here about a dozen time & I've never had a bad experience. My first thoughts of this establishment is the humidor. Plenty of cigars to choose from at a reasonable prices. There's plenty of room. Chairs, stools & couches to relax & watch some sports on the multiple TVs they have. They allow BYOB to pair with your cigars & menus to order food if you'd like. I've never really had much interactions with the staff aside from paying for my cigars. The gentleman who rang me up last time was pleasant. If you are a cigar smoker in NYC I highly recommend visiting here.

A very good selection at average prices for NYC. (Taxes are about 33% above the list price.) Friendly staff. No alcohol. The ventilation is terrible.

If you are into cigars I want to be in a nice cozy place to hang out with friends I strongly recommend you to come here. The cigar Sommelier is a very knowledgeable and patient. I came here for an event and I really enjoyed my time here. They have a very large collection of cigars ranging from Davidoff to montecristo to cigars from Nicaragua in Guatemala and Dominican. The place was packed and there was good air circulation. We set an a little balcony with comfortable chairs. In regards to females I saw a few other ladies here. I came here with two other female friends and we were comfortable. People were respectful and we have pleasant conversations.

This was a nice mama man location. Wasn't a female in sight. Just the guys vibing with their cigars. There was a mixed crowd of black and white men. The music was more contemporary vibes. BYOB! The highlight of the spot I surprised my fiancé with a birthday date here since he loves cigars. The server was welcoming; however, after seating us she said nothing. This was our first time here so we needed a intro to what's next. We put our belongings down, and walked to the front to ask about the cigars. We walked into the room where you view the hundreds of cigar options. There was a man who was pretty knowledgeable about the selections and he was super nice. He lit the cigar for my fiancé and made small talk. He liked the spot, and said he would return with friends.

The menu was hard to choose from, so we ended up splitting several sides, apps and mains. The bone in filet was nicely charred and they did medium rare really well. The cut was seasoned and melty. The spinach and brussels were amazing, and the winter salad was a refreshing palate cleanser. My colleagues enjoyed the scallops, jumbo sized cocktail shrimp, veal schnitzel and the hearts of palm pasta dish. Since all the boxes seemed to be checked, we made our way over. When we arrived, we were kinda bummed to find out that the rooftop was closed for a private event - but there were open seats in the bar area so we decided to stay. The interior wasn't as big as I expected, with the dining room hitting you as soon as you enter with the bar in a separate room in the back. The bar area was small - outside of the stools there were a few tables but since it wasn't crowded we were able to grab a seat. Decor is inoffensive - typical bar vibes with low lighting and a color scheme that leaned darker. The aesthetic leaned upscale. The menu had a good selection of cocktails, wine, and beer - along with a section of snacks. We had two rounds of drinks - I opted for their cocktails which were quite good. We couldn't leave without snacks and got several for the table - chips and guac, fried calamari, pigs in a blanket, and truffle fries; they also served complimentary mixed nuts. The snacks were good - the fries and pigs were my favorite; the latter looked like they were prepared as full-sized dogs and then sliced into bite-sized pieces. Service was great - we were taken care of promptly and never forgotten despite the bar space filling up after we arrived. Everyone was also super friendly, loved to see it. Overall, we had a good time at Aretsky's Patroon - the vibes were on and I wouldn't hesitate to return either for a drink or full dinner.

I loved how stepping into the space immediately removed you from the hustle&bustle of the city and into a cozy and quaint library setting. The backstory for the Raines Law is also pretty interesting. I got the Kanzan martini on the Reserve cocktail list (which features several creative, small production spirits) and I loved how unique it was! I came here recently to celebrate my friend's intimate wedding with about 40 guests, and honestly, this might've been some of the best wedding food I've ever had. From cocktail hour to the main course, everything was a hit. Cocktail Hour: Caviar toasts - 5/5: Fan favorite for sure!! The butter on the toast paired perfectly with the caviar. Potato balls - 4.25/5: More classic, but still really good and comforting. Fries - 5/5: Possibly some of the best fries I've ever had -- we ordered so many more. Beef sliders - 4.5/5: Perfect brioche-to-beef ratio, and the beef was super juicy. Truffle pastry (not sure of the name) - 5/5: Rich truffle + buttery pastry = an unreal combo. And ofc, the cocktails here are top tier using top shelf liquor which you can tell!
