OK, be sure to read my review. Based on the other reviews, I almost unchecked out of this hotel. I…read morehad checked in on the road and did not look at the reviews and then when I read the reviews, I was like oh I'm in for some trouble. And that why the rate was only 11,000 points and I thought to myself this is gonna be brutal but..... when I got the front desk. I asked very nicely if I could have a set of keys and go up and inspect the room before I brought anything in out of my car. They let me do that and I walked into the room and it was spotless. As they said, they refresh the rooms so it appears that the bathrooms were redone and I just felt overall that it was gonna be a good inexperience for 11,000 points or $94 for a 15 minute drive to St. Louis. I did talk to the front desk about the plethora of bad reviews in the past and even recently. And all the gentlemen could do tactfully was say that there is now a new management team at the hotel, and they are working diligently to gain the trust of the Marriott Bon Voy travelers . What I would suggest and what I would do exactly is I would leave everything in the car and check into the hotel, walk up with your set of keys and inspect room and if the room doesn't meet your expectations calmly walk downstairs and ask for another room. The price , you can't beat the price.

Well definitely better the second time I stayed here. Oh yea this is the second time. The rooms…read morewere renovated since the last time I was here. I would have given a 1 the first time but now a 3 seems fitting. Renovation was good but the rooms are a tad small. Friendly front desk staff. The price was 86 a night which really helped with the decision to stay again. I'll check out the feee breakfast in the morning. Given how everything is now I would stay here the next time I'm in town.

Fourth of July weekend we decided to stay at Days Inn O'fallon for our second night in St. Louis…read morefor three reasons: 1. Proximity to St. Louis, 2. Price, 3. It was on our way home. We checked out of the Marriott, went to the cardinals game, watched the fireworks, and little did we know the real show was yet to come. We arrived to the hotel around 11pm, check-in was smooth and there was no problem parking. Elevator's permit expired in 2015 and this was July 3rd 2016. Now that we made it to our room, lets list every reason to never stay at this hotel: Cons -Stained curtains (photos uploaded) -Stained AC unit (photos uploaded) -Dirty pillows (photos uploaded) -Room door would not close without a good amount of force -Bathroom door would not open all the way -Room had a musky smell -Beds were hard (that's expected for the price) Pros -Free breakfast -Easy check in/out -Close parking -20 minutes from St. Louis We would've went elsewhere, but it was 4th of July weekend at 11pm. Worst hotel I've ever been to and if you don't believe me PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS I UPLOADED.

It's within easy walking distance to Fridays and another bar and grill as well as a Circle K gas station. You can't walk much further than that, though. Pros: -Great parking lot. Tons of extra spots and it was easy to get a good spot near the building. -AMAZINGLY modern for a Holiday Inn. I don't usually expect modern interiors from Holiday Inns, but this one does nicely. The lamps all have plug-ins built in for charging your phone, the bathroom lights offered optional motion-sensitive lighting, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the room. -Room was very clean upon check-in. Absolutely no complaints. -Staff was mostly friendly. Our check-in was awesome, and she was very friendly and talkative. When we tried to renew our hotel stay for another night, however, the night audit staff seemed pretty annoying. She seemed a bit short-tempered and like we had been bothering her by asking. We felt bad for wanting to pay for another night. -Beds are comfy. AC works wonderfully. Heat works fine. -Rooms come default with a refrigerator and a microwave. Both were in fantastic working order. Cons: -No hot tub. The pool is your only aquatic playplace. -Internet was spotty. It was regularly disconnecting itself on my laptop. When it worked, it was decently fine, but I regularly had to force it to reconnect. Workable for browsing casually (and writing Yelp reviews) - not acceptable for online business calls. -Unlike most hotels in this star-range, Holiday Inn doesn't offer a complimentary breakfast. They offer an affordable ($8 or $9, I think) adult buffet in the morning. -No free weights. The "fitness center" includes two treadmills and a reclining bicycle. Works for your cardio needs, but you won't be able to do any strength training. -Room was noticeably small. We were put in one of the handicapped-accessible rooms, and the walkways were noticeably narrow. A wheelchair fit, but it was a very, very tight fit. -We had a conference that we were attending at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel across the street. Holiday Inn was the overflow hotel. That's totally fine, BUT there's a giant wind/garbage wall built between the two properties. You can see the hotel, and it's easily within a 0.5 mile walking distance, but you have to drive to the next block instead of walking. -Room service was spotty. First night was great - even the extra blanket we had brought was nicely folded at the edge of the bed. Second night, the garbage hadn't been emptied, none of the empty bottles had been cleaned up or moved, and someone had just shoved newly-folded towels into the bathroom shelf.

This is an incredibly disturbing and disappointing location. Warning for anyone wanting to stay or…read morepotentially work here. I was interviewed yesterday for a breakfast service role by John the manger. During our interview several comments struck me as off. 1. I mask, my mother had cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy, I have to mask for her safety and mine. John immediately told me he was not sure he would allow me to wear the mask during my time working here. In the state on IL that request is in fact illegal. It was not up for debate. The interview went on, I am younger in my 20s. John made several comments on how my generation does not understand hard work these days. I will admit this is a common comment by older generations, however it makes no difference in my mind as it fosters a hostile work environment. The most disgusting comments that were made however involved both John and a blonde middle aged server. John made several racist comments about china, and further comments about Indian people. The owner of this hotel is of India decent for context. The blonde server came over and continued to make these comments as well as using a mock accent to describe Indian people. Over all this was a disgusting interview and a I would not recommend staying let alone working here. I pride myself on being a hard worker and as a former manger, I understand the BASICS of management. Fostering a welcoming and at the least safe work environment is step one when managing employees. Overall this was horrible

I assume they recommended it it due to their close proximity and not due to them ever actually sleeping in this place. My first room that they gave us stunk maybe cigars or weed or I'm not sure but definitely something that somebody was smoking. It was unbearable. I went down to the front desk and they immediately changed our room, but I was already running late to begin with, so this was not a welcome detour. We have to meet up with the in-laws for dinner and then we came back here probably around 10 o'clock at night after dinner and there was a policeman out front walking in the building and several people behind the building and more people just sitting on the couch in the waiting area as if they were waiting for a ride, maybe? Even with our new room that had a very musty smell. They offer a breakfast but the orange juice machine was broken and I wasn't really hungry so I'm not sure what kind of food they had. It's a type of room to stay in that you would expect to pay $49. The fact that they charge over 100 is probably because it was so close to my in-laws. But after this experience I've searched on my own and there's plenty of other nicer hotels in the area. They had a very small conditioner and soap, but they had no shampoo. And I actually opted to not shower rather than use their shower or towel towels. In my opinion, it was that bad. The air conditioner worked, and the bed was somewhat comfortable

For a stay to save money this is your spot n that's the reason chose this hotel. It's fairly clean don't expect extras. I asked for extra blanket as the blankets on bed very thin n possibly a couple Extra pillows - definitely look at pictures. King size bed with throw sIze pillows.
