    Imo's - Spaghetti and Meatballs
    Kathy W.

At the top of the list of what made this a good stay for me were Managers Shayna, Tiara, and Desk Clerk Amaya. All three worked over and beyond to solve booking problems that occurred because I needed to cut my trip short. I can't thank them enough. Secondly, the room was really nice, with a comfortable bed. The only issue was the heating unit. I couldn't stop the cold air blowing out toward the bed. Placing the desk chair in front blocked the blowing air, so I waited to report the problem when I checked out. The location is great for restaurants. I experienced my first Imo Pizza order (good Spaghetti & Meatballs, biggest Boneless Wings and House Salad I ever had. Ended up with a total of 5-6 on-the-road meals over 3 days.)

This was a weird hotel. Really pretty and looks like it was built a long time ago. Beautiful woodwork, piano in the lobby. I'd love to know some history on this place. It has a few weird hallways but I liked that the garage was attached to the hotel. Super friendly staff. Was is s great location for us. Pool was busy and looked a little yucky. Game room on site but nothing worked and the sauna was old looking and took a long time to heat up. We enjoyed our stay and our room was nice and clean. Would definitely stay again

It was my first time staying at a Drury Inn, and I was so excited bc people have mentioned how excellent their complimentary breakfast and happy hour were. What I encountered was another story, however. Breakfast consisted of powdered eggs, and happy hour has mushy, frozen veggies and a severe lack of quality. At $200 a NIGHT, it was a pricey experiment I won't be attempting again. It was kid friendly, however. Nachos every day with lackluster nacho cheese sauce and a hot dog station. Salad bar could've used more options for toppings. Boiled eggs served at breakfast could be diced for salads in the evening. Bacon at breakfast could be repurposed the same way as a topping for their baked potato night. Green onions are cheap and would've been a nice addition for the potato night. Just because you're on a limited budget doesn't mean the experience has to *feel* cheap too.

Morning breakfast was very good as well. We will certainly return.

First, the good: the ambiance is consistent throughout the property. I had a great time walking up and down the halls on each floor to check out the unique art. The fitness room is nicely appointed! While we didn't get to check out either of the on-site restaurants, we peeked inside Fox and Hounds and it had a good crowd. The complimentary breakfast was hearty and delicious, and it was nice to grab a free bottle of juice or water from the cooler (which did seem to be locked after breakfast hours) Great location as well, we loved walking around the neighborhood and Forest Park! What keeps this from being a five-star review? Some ice buckets and dirty dishes were on a table in the fourth-floor lobby for over 12 hours. A bit disorienting to see every time we got off the elevator. The pillows were pretty flimsy. Lots of linty buildup on the blow dryer deterred me from using it. Overall will definitely stay here again anytime I visit Saint Louis, definitely want to come back during summer and use the pool!

We wrapped up our informal wander through the fabulous Delmar Loop and drifted up here for a final drink, a skyline check and that signature rotating oversized Moon glowing over the building. By pure luck, it was a full moon over Saint Louis too which felt a little on the nose in the best possible way. The rooftop is solid, a clear arc of the city that makes you slow down to appreciate the view. The space itself is exactly what you want at the end of the night. Open, relaxed and elevated enough to feel like a finale without trying too hard. The music was much louder than I'd prefer and not an artist I'd ever queue up for a mellow nightcap and it did sort of get in the way of the vibe. The kitchen had already closed, which killed the idea of a final nibble with our round of drinks. The bartender did offer the workaround of having DoorDash delivered to the bar but we weren't going to hang around that long. The Old Fashioned he put together was excellent, balanced and smooth. Just what I needed as my Fitbit clocked over 10k steps. As a final stop on a Loop night, the Moonrise works beautifully. You get the view of downtown Saint Louis in the distance, the atmosphere, the giant Moon doing its thing and a comfortable landing spot before calling it a night. The parking garage is incredibly easy to access and has an elevator that'll take you right up to your floor, making it easy to grab things from the car, load in, etc. Often times a valet can be nice but also means your car is MIA if you need anything. The staff was so friendly (shoutout Kashif, the GM!) and really welcomed me in to this hotel. My room was quite small, but it is what it is and they have several other types of rooms should you need more space. The hotel gym was surprisingly decent as well, with a few cardio machines, and a good rack of weights, pull up bars, and more than enough to get a nice workout in. To the side, there's a saltwater pool that was nice as well, but about 10 degrees colder than I'd prefer. One reason to love a Hampton Inn is they really show out with breakfast and it was good here; cereal, oatmeal, sausage, omelettes, waffle makers, coffee, etc. When I travel, I love the ease of this and hope they keep doing it -- I'll continue to seek them out if they do. Really nothing else to add except I'd definitely stay here again and enjoyed the stay.

We were told Friday night by the front desk clerk that all the housekeepers had gone home and wouldn't be back all weekend. Obviously we knew that couldn't possibly be true, but they insisted we were out of luck. Then when we went to breakfast my niece had on some new slippers she bought during the trip and some oil based cleaner or wood stain got all over them. After investigating the chairs were all sticky and put residue on anything that touched them including your hand or leg. The front desk was again informed. They requested we leave the slippers with them and they would attempt to clean them. When we went back to check after 24 hours they were just sitting behind the desk and nothing had been done.

Went to the rooftop bar/restaurant. First impression, hostess leaning over the hostess desk on her phone, look her a full minute to look up and acknowledge guests. We were not the only guests. Reasonably busy nothing crazy. But the attitude and demeanor of every single employee was beyond off putting. Every single employee acting as if it was a guests privilege that they were even waiting on them is crazy work for people who work for tips. Everyone seemed so robotic, like I said very off putting. The food was good, the cocktails were all spins on classic cocktails and honestly pretty gross. All four of us each got a different one, the only one that any of is liked was the blueberry mojito. The rest that we tried just seemed off and all had kind of bitter after tastes to them. The next night we met down at the lobby bar, which is an absolute ghost town. Honestly who wants to gets cocktails were they just had breakfast buffet that morning. Zero atmosphere. The bartender was super friendly though which was a 180 degree difference from the upstairs. It's small in size, so you can kind of say it was intimate. I took a seat at the bar, but they did have several tables for groups to gather and drink. I was pleased to see that under the bar, they had hooks. I'm a big advocate for hooks being under bars. They're great for light coats and for ladies to securely store their purse.
