We had a spectacular ocean view, and our room on the 5th floor was very quiet. The grounds are beautiful with multiple pools. The main pool has cabanas for rent, an infinity edge overlooking the beach and ocean, a swim up bar and restaurant, and poolside service for food ad drinks. Diego was especially helpful. Lena restaurant has a swim up bar in the main pool and their menu includes pizza, sandwiches salads, and tacos. The family pool also has poolside service for food and drinks. Shout out to Fidel and Angel for their excellent service! The family pool is near the kiddie pool and play area which has a water system kids can run through and a small water slide. Mio restaurant is on it's own small pool with an infinity edge and beautiful view. Mio menu includes sushi, noodle dishes, pad Thai, and poke, all of which were excellent. We had several dinners at the Sotol restaurant off the lobby. Their menu includes tacos, steak quesadillas, and pasta dishes. Bartender/server Jesus provided great friendly service and made us feel cared for each night when we stopped by for after dinner drinks. Talavera restaurant is where the huge breakfast buffet was each morning, offering a very affordable continental breakfast, or a full breakfast. We found the continental offered more than enough options to satisfy us with lots of great choices including oatmeal with an array of toppings, granola and other cereals, about 20 different types of pastries/breads each day, and a fresh fruit bar. The full breakfast also offered meats, cheeses, custom made breakfast tacos, breakfast cocktails, and a smoothie bar. There's also Los Arcos Roasting Company coffee shop off the lobby, and Starbucks coffee and ice cream available in the Dulce shop near the family pool. This Hilton also has a doctor onsite 24 hours a day. This was a relief to us as one member of our family had an ear ache. The doctor did an exam and diagnosed an ear infection and provided the antibiotics right then and there. The doctor had her come back in the next day for a follow-up and the infection cleared up. A wonderful vacation!

The property is a little dated, but it is meticulously maintained and staffed by very friendly, customer-service-oriented people. "Shout-out' to Ms. Nishme (concierge), Ms. Arely (concierge), Mr. Jesus (Talavera Bar & Restaurant), and Mr. Jiri (Vela Restaurant) for making my stay extremely enjoyable and catering to my daily needs as I bathed in a week of relaxation away from the daily commute and corporate grind. Perched above the resort with spectacular views of the pool and the sea beyond, you will find Jesus at Talavera blending the best margaritas and cocktails within the property, as you enjoy some of the best pub-like entrees and dishes reminiscent of local heritage with modern technique. Indoor-outdoor seating combines for a rustic, stylish , refreshing atmosphere after a day on the beach or poolside. Aside from this dining option, I highly recommend Vela for a romantic evening near the pool, enjoying Italian-influenced seafood, pastas, and meats paired with some eclectic Mexican wines that thrill one's palate. The morning breakfast buffet is quite enjoyable as well, offering Western and Mexican options along with fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, and juices, providing the perfect beginning to a sunny tropical day. Last but not least among the property's treasures are the expansive rooms overlooking the ocean, the numerous shops, and the amazing indoor/outdoor gym with state-of-the-art equipment. Some of the less attractive things about the hotel are the weak, expensive cocktails served poolside, beachside, and everywhere, with prices consistent across all venues and flavors and alcohol content very watered down. Talavera Bar is the only difference. Another notable matter is the 15% service charge on everything! And you find yourself tipping on top of the service charge! As a Diamond member, I receive a complimentary breakfast for two each day, but I was billed $12 service charge and a tip each morning. I would still recommend this hotel as a vacation destination for its beauty, tranquility, and comfortable suites.

After visiting Cabos San Lucas several times, we selected San Jose Del Cabo for a different vibe…read more We hadn't stayed in San Jose for about 20 years. We selected Casa Natalie for its super central location and walkability. CHECK IN: We arrived early and met with Fernando who was working the front desk. Fernando was fantastic and assisted us with booking a beach club day pass for the following day at the Hotel El Ganzo to which they have an affiliation. We waited a couple of ours, and our room was ready. ROOM: We were assigned a "superior" room, which was called the Romantica on the ground level. The room was well-decorated with ceramic or pottery cherubs and other eclectic decor on the walls. To enter the room, you first had enter a lockable solid wood door that led to an open air patio. To enter the actual room, you have to enter a sliding glass door that doesn't lock. As the room being on the ground floor, this was a security concern. I reported the concern, and a different person working the evening shift at the front desk gave me a key. The key fit the sliding glass door lock, but the locking mechanism would not allow the key to turn. As a result, we couldn't secure it. We reported this to the same person who said maintenance would look at it the following day. This never occurred. It seems the sliding glass doors are not intended to be locked. Again, this is a security issue as the room is on the ground floor. The four foot wall to the patio could easily be jumped by an intruder. BREAKFAST: Our breakfast was included in our stay. The menu was limited, but it was very good. Regarding the breakfast service, it was fantastic. We had the same female server each day, but I didn't note her name. POOL: The pool is somewhat small but perfect for the hotel size. The water temperature appeared to be around 85 Fahrenheit, which was great. Occupancy appeared to be low, so the pool was never crowded. We actually only interacted with three people at the pool the entire week. HOUSEKEEPING: For housekeeping and related service, you must make a request at the front desk each day before 11:00 AM. When we did remember to ask, the housekeeping staff did a great job. BEACH CLUB ACCESS: Casa Natalia has a relationship with nearby Hotel El Ganzo, which is a short Uber drive away. The cost is $1200 pesos each, but you get 50 percent off. So, for one person the cost is $600 pesos, and you can apply $400 pesos of the $600 to food and drinks. We really enjoyed the food, chill atmosphere, drinks, and service. If visiting the beach club is for you, Casa Natalia will make same day arrangements. If Hotel El Ganzo is full with their own guests, you'll have to try another day. CHECKOUT: Checkout was a breeze. Cesar was friendly, welcoming, and professional. We actually had a chance to interact with Cesar on a few occasions, and he was always attentive. SERVICE: The service was good, but Fernando and Cesar were very good. We appreciated their hard work. It appears based on the boutique nature of the hotel, employees do multiple jobs, which pulls them away from their primary duties. There were times when we had to wait several minutes to order a drink at the bar (because the bartender was outside helping load or unload items outside) or when we needed our check (because the server was helping in the kitchen). These issues aren't deal breakers, one just needs to have patience. It should be noted that for dinner, the hotel restaurant (Mi Cocina) was very busy and being patronized by the public. At these times, there were several employees around, and they were hustling. A return visit might be considered. If you're interested in a centrally located boutique hotel and have patience, you should enjoy Casa Natalia.

Nothing is more contagious and fun than laughter Lifestyle Villas does all the heavy lifting for you, all you have to do is sit back and press play while having the chefs/butlers bring you shots and margaritas. I am lucky enough to have an amazing circle of friends and I have stayed with Lifestyle Villas in six different villas. The restaurants on-site were good and reasonably priced, comparable to what you would expect to pay elsewhere. There were a few fun activities available for kids, but I wouldn't consider this a true kid-focused resort. It seemed like there were many more activities geared toward adults, although unfortunately we weren't able to participate in most of them during our stay. The beach was beautiful, but it wasn't our favorite for swimming. Stronger swimmers will likely enjoy it more, and there was a lifeguard on duty, which was reassuring. Overall, the beautiful property, great service, and friendly staff made this a worthwhile stay. We would definitely consider returning. We visited during whale season and had a great view from our room of the whales jumping out of the water and passing thru.

My complaints are that, in spite of this being "in season," the resort is doing major maintenance. When I say major, I'm referring to large areas being closed off by temporary barricades, cement mixers running, and nonstop hammering well into the evening. Really Westin management?! And yes, I'm talking specifically to Westin leadership. Here's an idea -- finish one maintenance project, then, and only then, start on another project, don't make the whole place a noisy mess. Meanwhile, one of the advertised restaurants appears permanently closed. I would love to come back, but this situation is completely unacceptable and they certainty don't tell you anything disagreeable in advance, so...

Upon entering, the alluring decor and enticing aromatics definitely hypnotize. Everything here is magical. The lush gardens are filled with a variety of bright, organic vegetables that literally personalizes the concept of farm to table. Everything you need to prepare a delicious meal is a step outside your back door. The spacious cottages are nestled within the farm itself creating the perfect Garden of Eden at your fingertips. Our lovely friends who own a cottage extended an invitation to my family and I sharing their home away from home. A true blessing to experience and taste a piece of paradise. The custom built cottages were spared no expense. Everything is of the highest quality and durability not to mention unique design and details. High ceilings, a butcher's block kitchen, luxury linens in each room and every necessity imaginable from the kitchen to the laundry facility is available. The large appliances are made so that there is but a whisper of sound indicating it's on. All the rooms have their own cooling system adjustable to each occupants desire. The complimentary shampoo/conditioner and soaps are all organic, locally hand made and pure as you can get. Cleaning and maintenance service is provided just as if you were in a fancy hotel wrapped in a cozy robe. Culinary Cottages is definitely well thought out and apparently some heart and soul went into its foundation. There are numerous boutiques on the grounds for shopping as well as an amazing coffee house/winery to boast. The famous Flora's Field Kitchen and delightful farmer's market is situated here only adjacent to the private dining area exclusively for property owners. Fried chicken Tuesday is a local inside tip that many look forward to and outsiders flock to indulge. Honestly, everything on the gourmet menu is of five star caliber and the ambiance just brings it all together. If you get the chance to stay at the cottages, do it! It is an experience you will never forget and will always be a part of you. Taking a tour and maybe considering ownership is the bigger option if you dare... you may never want to leave. It is poetry in motion depicted in novels and a dreamland captured in the backdrop of your photos.
