This is my least favorite Casa Fiesta location. The vibe is not the same. The house margaritas aren't as good. The service isn't as good. To be fair, the food is on par with the Fultondale and Trussville locations. And I noticed the prices were a little cheaper. But, overall, I did not enjoy my last visit here. Another quick lunch stop while in Cullman for work, and it did not disappoint. Quick service & decent food. I ordered the Speedy Gonzalez which is a taco, enchilada & choice of rice or beans for 6 bucks. What a deal. The food was good, not stellar: 1) the enchilada sauce tasted like it could have come from a can, 2) the beans could have had a little more flavor. Also, I ordered a chicken taco and got beef, but it was a pleasant surprise because the beef was quite tasty. This has become a tradition with our family, whenever we are in town we eat at Casa. Drinks are good, foods always hot and the service is outstanding. Do not go there! There was a big group of us. First, my daughter noticed and pulled out a short black hair. We kind of freaked out but said things happen. Then a few minutes later, she pulled out a long black hair (she has long red hair). So we complained and then they brought her out a new plate. Then a few minutes later, I looked down and saw something in my sour cream. I got my fork to see what it was and pulled out another black hair! I laid it on a napkin. When I told the waiter about the 2nd hair, he proceeded to tell me "I dont know what to tell you. Nobody in the kitchen has long hair." They did take my fajitas off the ticket and offered the replace it, but after 3 hairs in 2 separate plates, I couldn't stomach eating anything else! Then my husband mentioned that he thought he felt something that didn't feel right and thought it might be a hair but ignored it (that was before I found my hair). The waiter basically acted like we were planting those, but every person at our table either had blonde or red hair or the men has military short haircuts. They all have black hair, like was in our plates. Oh and the service was really bad on top of all that! I would give them a negative star if that was a choice. I am giving them a 4 star because the salsa wasn't anything special and was lacking ingredients, maybe add some cilantro and something else to make it not so bland. We had the Chicken Fiesto Burrito topped with cheese sauce and verde sauce and was very flavorful and very good. I will definitely come back when we are in cullman. read more

Where to start. Wanted some Mexican food for lunch today, and since it's near and I haven't tried it before, my son and I set out for some food. First impression; the restaurant is clean, open, good atmosphere. It's not very crowded for lunch (I guess that should have been our first warning), we we were seated right away. Salsa and our drinks arrived quickly, then we gave our order. The prices seemed reasonable. No water was served along with our drinks, but some places do, some places don't unless you ask. The salsa was OK, nothing to brag about, but served in a very small dish. By the time our food arrived it was empty, and I expected that the waiter would bring another one. However, we didn't see the waiter again until he brought the check 15 mins later. He never checked to see if we needed more drinks, water, salsa, or how the food was. My burrito dish was OK, once again nothing to brag about, but my son said his dish was so spicy that he couldn't eat it. So I switched plates with him, and then I found that I couldn't eat it either, it was so spicy. Nothing on the menu indicated that his dish was going to be this hot. With the plate full of food shoved to the middle of the table, I munched on what was left of the nachos as I waited for the waiter to check on us. After about 15 minutes, he finally wandered by to drip off the ticket. I told him the dish my son ordered was so spicy that neither one of us could eat it, and asked if it was supposed to be that spicy. He grabbed the ticket and wandered off, so then I expected to see the manager to find out more and maybe get something else to eat. Nope; a minute later, the waiter comes back by and drops the ticket off, he has simply taken the charge for the dish off of the ticket. No attempt to see if I would like something else. That's it, he's done with us at that point, and to be honest, I'm done with him and the restaurant. The manager said something to the effect of "Sorry you didn't like the food, come back again" on the way out. Not a chance. I'm not one to hand out bad reviews, or to complain about the waitstaff much; I used to work as a server myself. However, I'm giving it a 1-star rating since it reflects that I wouldn't eat there again even if someone else was buying the meal. No checking on the customer to see about refills and to see if the meal is satisfactory, and to top it all off, they let me walk out of there with no lunch! Avoid this place at all costs. Los Cabos is about 3/4 a mile up the road, with excellent food and service, so there is no reason to waste your time and money at this place. read more

Probably the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. After waiting about 10 minutes just to see a waitress, (we were one of three tables) We waited about 10 minutes for refills after the waitress told us she would be back. I am vegetarian and ordered the vegetarian fajitas only to get them with a piece of steak on top. I discarded the first piece hoping it had fell onto my plate from another and the first time I dig my fork into the fajitas after that, there's another piece of steak. I waited another 10 minutes for the waitress to walk over and tell her that I could have gotten very sick if I were to have eaten the meat; she said nothing. No apologies, nothing. The manager finally comes over, again no apologies, he just asks if if I'd like to try something else. I would have liked the vegetarian plate that I ordered but at that time I was disgusted with their lack of empathy and professionalism so I asked for the check for the drinks and other cold plate we received late. It was still $18 for a cold plate, 2 drinks we waited on for 10 minutes each time and cheese dip. I'm appalled that such an establishment is still operating. I find it infuriating that no one even apologized for any inconvenience, such as time wasted or the fact that I would have gotten very sick if I didn't inspect my meal before eating it. Seriously, this place is disgusting, save your money and go anywhere else. read more

Very disappointed in our waitress and the food. We did not get what we ordered and we could not get a refill on our drinks. Our waitress was too busy playing on her phone to check to see if everything was all right. I tried to get the attention of another waitress and was totally ignored. Great service, and the probably best Mexican food I've eaten. I have a gluten allergy and can usually find gluten-free items in Mexican restaurants. Our server made sure to check the ingredients of the dishes I asked about and make sure my food would be safe. I had the Fajitas Mexicana, minus the tortillas, and it was fantastic: steak strips tender and tasty enough to be a entree on their own, juicy grilled shrimp, chicken and vegetables, topped with a huge wedge of sweet, ripe pineapple. My companions both had the chimichanga special and both said it delicious and more than either could finish. The dining room and restrooms were spotless, the service was outstanding, and the food was amazing and quite reasonably priced. What more could you want for a casual family night out? We will definitely return when we come back to Cullman! read more

the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. After ordering the Fajita Superior, I tried the chips which were stale and the salsa which had been made with tomatoes that were beginning to rot. I pointed out this fact to the manager and he said, "tastes fine to me." As a chef, I informed him that the high levels of bitter acidity came from turning veggies, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. The entree arrived and there were problems, the sausage wasn't cooked through and some of the chicken and shrimp were still partially frozen. Just a note, the few bites I took before I realized it came back up and was left in the parking lot. The service was horrible and the food was revolting. The worst part of the experience was the managers attitude. He asked me how I liked my meal, I told him. He smiled and said it was no big deal, he always had new people that would replace the ones who don't come back.
