I've been here many times. I loved it but the past few times I've come it's poor service and food. It's like their so rushed to get us out just to fill our table again. Today it was just me and my two daughters. All of our food came out separately. We waited to eat until my daughters chicken nuggets came out. I got the Pollo Ortiz. Casa Grande doesn't wow you as an amazing Mexican restaurant. Nothing special about the decor inside. There's also no bar, but they do serve alcohol. I've experienced some Mexican establishments in Appalachia with microwaved food. Getting into the positives, I do give this place an A for service, cleanliness and food. The tristate area has seen a few legendary Mexican/Tex-Mex establishments. Even though those places are gone (but not forgotten), Carlos and his crew at Casa Grande have cemented themselves into a category few can obtain. We frequent 3 Mexican establishments in this area BUT this place is the BEST and most CONSISTENT. And that's the key, nothing worse than raving about a place and telling people about it and then they have poor quality or going back the next time and not having that experience you had before. Salsa, con queso and Guacamole are spot on!!! Vegetables are always fresh and meals are always more than satisfying. Went for the first time today. The parking lot was packed, thought it would be really crowded. Went inside, and even though there was a lot of people, the tables were spread out, and didn't seem that crowded. Got seated in a booth, which was very comfortable. The restaurant was very clean. Got served chips and salsa right away, which was very good. Ordered, and didn't have to wait very long. The portions were huge. I thought it was a little pricy until I saw the food. It was delicious. The only thing I would improve is the bathrooms. Only one person can go in at a time, not a big deal though. I'll definitely be going back. read more

Carlos Ortiz operates the BEST Mexican restaurant in all of the Tri-State. Clean, quick, efficient, friendly with food that is prepared perfectly makes this a hard-to-beat choice. His Street Tacos are straight out of old Mexico and the burritos are superb. The Margaritas are the best in any local restaurant. This by far is one of the best mexican restaurants I've ever been to. The owner Carlos walks around&greets tables. He is very friendly & enjoys talking. The chicken&ground beef are actually seasoned. Coming from Nashville it's hard to find management that is friendly and greets you at the door, however; Carlos was right there making sure we had everything we needed. I don't know why there are so many positive reviews. They must've paid their employees to write them. The queso was cold and tasted like it came out of a can.
