This is his "knockout omelet" Fried biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon

The workers were sooooo friendly. Sat at the bar and they talked to us the entire time. When I tell you I had the BEST breakfast of my life... it was the best. If it's dead, the head chef will make you pretty much anything you want. Awesome experience

Really good food, we had the three egg breakfast with bacon and the prime rib and eggs. Both so good. We sat at the counter and talked with the owners such nice people. Definitely going back.

Fried chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese

OMG! We got excited when we saw the small menu and we were right to get excited. My husband had the cheeseburger and fries, and I had the fried chicken sandwich with mac and cheese and an additional side of potato salad. The cheeseburger was huge and perfectly grilled on a homemade bun. The fries are fresh cut and perfectly seasoned. The fried chicken sandwich was so good. It was lightly breaded and crunchy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. It's served on a homemade bun, I had mine with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. I asked for salt and pepper but it didn't need it at all. As amazing as our sandwiches were, the sides really stole the show. The Mac and cheese was made with Munster and cheddar with crispy crumbs on top. The flavor was crazy good and it was so creamy. The potato salad was by far the best potato salad I've ever had. It's not your typical potato salad. To start with it is a savory potato salad, not that sweet stuff from the grocery store. It's creamy and delicious with plenty of dill and something I'm sure I will crave for the rest of my life. The 9th St. Diner is a small place with friendly service and large portions. The portions were so large but we weren't going to let any of that mac and cheese or potato salad go to waste. I can honestly say I can't wait to go back, and potato salad will be the first thing I order. Well done!

Great little diner, very busy. Lunch specials, burgers, sandwiches and breakfast. Local find. Definitely worth a try.

Fuel has been in business for a few years despite a number of flaws…read more The place inexplicably closes at 8:00 pm despite the fact the Huntington restaurant crowd is still going until 10, and it's in The Market with Austin's Ice Cream and Taqueria 84, which are open later. I was in line tonight and with another person in front of me and the clock struck 8:00 and the young woman at the counter literally told us, "Sorry, that was the last customer. We close at 8." I've never been in line at a counter business in my life and been turned away because of hours. Second, the sandwiches here made with overly thick bread but the meat portions are paper thin. These are not sandwiches, they are bread with a hint of meat. I always get the pizzas here as thst is all they offer that is worthwhile. Unfortunately, though, there is... Third, they haven't changed the menu since they opened. It's bee. the same damned options for the past few years! People say they have a favorite (always pizza) at Fuel and that's because they can never get a new option. This is a lazy business that had a great beginning but one which doesn't listen to its customers at all. They've been told about the hours, the fat bread, and the lack of new options by many people, and they feign a politeness that tells you that they don't value your opinion. It gets by because it's in a town with few options and even fewer new ones.
